Chapter 811 Heart-Wrenching Pain 2
"What is going on?" she asked with a puzzled look.
Mark immediately said, "Grace, prove your innocence!"
"People won't believe just words, but if there's a video showing that only I enter and leave this room from now on, they won't suspect any improper relationship between us."
Grace nodded.
This was indeed a good method.
However, what Mark didn't tell her was that the reason he recorded this video was so that one day he could explain it to Quentin.
Before today, he thought about making Grace completely forget Quentin, and wanted to pursue Grace.
Now, Mark had given up!
Grace's heart was filled with Quentin.
Especially the scene just now, Mark suddenly realized that Grace might never be able to forget Quentin forever.
Even if Grace really forgets, she might never fall in love with anyone else or give anyone else a chance.
So, although Mark really hated Quentin, if one day Grace and Quentin could clear up their misunderstandings, and Quentin could get Grace's forgiveness and win her back, he would be happy for Grace and bless her.
That night, Mark stayed at Grace's house for as long as Quentin's car was parked downstairs.
Almost the whole night, Quentin leaned against the car, smoking one cigarette after another.
He squinted his eyes, exhaling smoke.
He knew that even if Mark and Grace were really dating and in the same room, nothing would happen between them tonight.
But even with this clear understanding, Quentin's heart felt torn and painful.
It was as if a beast was trapped in his heart, roaring madly, but unable to break free from its cage.
When Mark left Grace's house in the morning, the rain had stopped.
The air after the heavy rain was very fresh, and the leaves were washed green and vibrant.
Mark walked out of the neighborhood with a spring in his step, but when he saw Quentin standing by the car, staring at him deeply, he was shocked.
Quentin looked disheveled, with messy hair and a dark face, clearly not having just arrived in the morning.
It was obvious that Quentin had been there all night!
Thinking about how he had stayed at Grace's house all night, Mark felt a complex mix of emotions.
He walked towards Quentin, "Since you're here, why didn't you dare to go up?"
He thought Quentin would grab his clothes and beat him up as usual.
However, Quentin just looked down and said, "Mark, I'm asking you seriously, will you treat her well?"
Mark thought he had heard wrong.
He looked at Quentin incredulously, "Bastard, do you know what you're saying?"
With that, his fist swung wildly towards Quentin's face.
With just one punch, Quentin's face was bruised, and blood flowed from his nose.
But this time, Quentin not only didn't fight back, but he also gently wiped the blood from his nose.
Then Quentin's mouth curled into a faint smile. "Mark, I'm serious, I'm asking you again, will you treat her well?"
"I'm not talking about a day or two, but a lifetime, can you do that?"
As soon as Quentin finished speaking, he received another solid punch to the face.
Mark glared at him with anger, "Quentin, do you know why I'm hitting you?"
"To be honest, I really can't stand you, and I really hate you. But there's nothing I can do, Grace likes you, so I have to suppress it."
"Bastard, do you know how heartbroken Grace was? Last night, I could hear her crying softly from her room until midnight."
"She loves you so much, why can't you be brave for her just once?"
Towards the end, Mark roared as he grabbed Quentin's collar and shouted at him.
"Quentin, you're such a coward! If I were you, I wouldn't abandon my lover even if I had to abandon everyone."
In the past, Quentin would have fought back.
But this time, Quentin just looked at Mark calmly, "You're right, I am a bastard, I let Grace down, I failed her."
"Failed?" Mark sneered, "Do you think that's what Grace wants to hear?"
"I'm telling you, Quentin, if you lose Grace this time, you'll lose her forever."
Quentin nodded, "I know."
But even so, he had no choice but to do this.
Even if he would regret and suffer for a lifetime.
As long as she could live well in this world, he would accept all the pain.
After giving Quentin another punch, Mark left in anger.
When Grace opened the curtains, she saw Mark hitting Quentin.
Quentin seemed to be hurt!
Would he be in pain?
The first thought that came to Grace's mind was this question.
With her heart pounding, she picked up her phone and dialed Quentin's number.
"Hello, this is Grace." She spoke first after the call connected.
Quentin responded, "I know."
"I saw you, you're downstairs, right?"
"Yes." Quentin didn't hide it, instead, he admitted it openly.
"Mark just messaged me saying you stayed downstairs all night."
"Yes," Quentin replied.
"Why are you downstairs? And stayed all night."
Grace asked the question, not knowing what she was expecting or hoping to hear.
"I saw you and Mark on the show a few days ago, the media said you two are together, dating, I couldn't believe it, after all, we just broke up."
"Maybe it's my possessiveness, I didn't want you to find another man right after leaving me, so I wanted to see for myself."
"But seeing you two holding hands sweetly, and Mark going home with you, I realized I was naive, you indeed found a new boyfriend long ago, and so quickly moved in together."
Grace smiled weakly.
If she knew this was the answer she would get, she would never have asked.
"Quentin, is this what you think?"
"The entertainment industry is always open, besides, it's normal for couples to live together and do things, I can completely understand."
Quentin's words were like a sharp knife, stabbing her heart, bleeding profusely.
Grace covered her mouth, tears streaming down, her weak body couldn't hold on anymore, and she slid down the wall.
In Quentin's eyes, was she such a casual woman?
'Quentin, after all, we loved each other, how can you hurt me so recklessly?' Grace thought to herself.
