Chapter 833 Preparing for the Wedding
Grace firmly shook her head, "There's no such possibility."
After saying this, Grace let go of him and then stood up to walk towards the black luxury car.
Outside the car, Kenneth's tall figure leaned against one side, exuding an elegant and handsome demeanor.
Seeing Grace approach, Kenneth took her hand proactively, "Let's get in the car. It's freezing outside!"
"Okay!"
Grace lifted her foot, just about to get into the car.
Suddenly, Quentin's voice loudly came from behind, "Grace, if I had crashed the wedding that day, would you have left with me?"
Grace didn't turn around, but her voice, carried by the wind, reached Quentin's ears.
"There's no point in answering an impossible question."
That day, Quentin stood in the heavy snow, watching Grace get into Kenneth's car with wide-open eyes.
But he had no standing to stop it.
He could only watch their car drive away until it disappeared completely, leaving no trace behind.
The cold wind howled, and the snow fell heavily, making the snow on the ground even deeper.
Willie drove over, and when he saw Quentin standing alone in the cold wind, he was startled.
He parked the car, grabbed an umbrella, and rushed over.
Holding the umbrella over Quentin's head, Willie said, "Mr. Taft, the wind is very cold, and the snow is heavy. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet. Let's get in the car first!"
Quentin still looked indifferently into the distance, not saying a word.
His body remained in the same position almost the entire time. Since Willie held the umbrella for him, he hadn't moved an inch.
"Willie."
He didn't remember how long it had been, but the entire sky had turned dark when he finally spoke his first words.
"Mr. Taft, I'm here!"
"If you were her, would you never forgive me?"
Willie's heart filled with bitterness; he didn't know how to answer.
Or perhaps, this question could only be answered by Grace, and no one else.
"So, I've really lost her completely, haven't I?"
Quentin's voice was filled with deep, profound sorrow.
But Willie could only stand with him, unable to utter a single word of comfort.
Staring in the direction Grace had left, Quentin didn't remember how long he stood there.
"Mr. Taft, it's late. Let's go back! If Ms. Morgan were here, she definitely wouldn't want you to treat yourself like this."
Three days later.
Kenneth's assistant, Barney Allen, arrived at the house, respectfully bringing many things.
Seeing Grace, he was very polite and respectful.
"Good morning, Ms. Morgan!"
Grace felt a bit embarrassed since it was almost noon.
"Who are you?"
It was Grace's first time meeting Barney, so it was normal for her not to recognize him.
"Ms. Morgan, I apologize for my abruptness. I should introduce myself first. My name is Barney Allen, and I'm Mr. Powell's assistant. I've been entrusted with arranging and planning your wedding with Mr. Powell."
"So if you have any ideas or questions, please let me know. I'll make sure to arrange everything to your liking and ensure your satisfaction."
Barney said a lot, but Grace didn't listen attentively.
"Barney, hello. No need to be so formal. I don't have any special requirements for the wedding. You can handle it as you see fit."
Barney briefly explained some of the wedding plans.
Grace had no objections and agreed to everything.
"Regarding the wedding dress, Ms. Morgan, you can take a look at these!"
Barney laid out several catalogs in front of Grace.
Grace was a bit puzzled, "So many?"
Barney explained with a smile, "Mr. Powell instructed that everything for the wedding must be of the highest standard. We can't let you feel slighted. We must give you a luxurious and grand wedding."
"Mr. Powell also mentioned that women care a lot about their wedding rings and dresses. Due to time constraints, custom designs are not possible, but these brands specialize in high-end wedding dresses. Mr. Powell wants you to choose some styles you like, and he will take time in the next two days to accompany you to try on the dresses."
"And for the wedding ring, Mr. Powell said he would personally take you to choose it."
Grace nodded, "Okay, I'll find some time to look at them today."
After Barney left, looking at the pile of catalogs in front of her, Grace felt a bit dazed.
But she had to admit, Kenneth had arranged everything very well.
She hardly had to do anything; everything was taken care of.
As soon as Barney left, he called Kenneth back.
"Mr. Powell, I've communicated everything with Ms. Morgan."
"How is she? Is she satisfied?"
"Ms. Morgan agreed to everything," Barney replied.
Kenneth's tall figure leaned back in his chair, his long legs stretched out, and his head tilted back, suddenly recalling many memories.
Except for a girlfriend he had dated a long time ago, Kenneth hadn't had a girlfriend in all these years.
He had devoted his heart to his career.
Thinking about it now, marrying a woman he found pleasing to the eye seemed like a good idea.
When he got home, Kenneth had just walked into the hall and found the entire first floor brightly lit.
"All the lights are on?" he asked casually.
He used to work late often, coming home after midnight, so he had instructed the staff to leave only one light on in the living room.
Everyone remembered his instructions and only left one light on.
The staff, thinking they had made a mistake, quickly explained when he asked, "Ms. Morgan said having only one light on felt a bit gloomy. She wanted the lights brighter to make it feel warmer and more lively."
At that moment, Grace walked over, "Kenneth, you won't blame me for making decisions on my own and wasting the electricity, will you?"
A smile of good humor appeared on Kenneth's lips. "Of course not."
"We're about to get married. Since you're living here, you have the right to manage the place."
As he spoke, Kenneth looked at Ford beside him, "Take this opportunity to gather everyone. I have something to say."
