Chapter 259 Swollen from His Kisses

"Gabriel, how can you be so overbearing?" Jessica couldn't hold back any longer and started hitting him.

Gabriel cried out in pain, "Ah, that hurts. Jessica, you hit my wound."

Jessica immediately snapped out of it, remembering that he was still injured and that his wound was quite severe. She quickly put her hands down and asked nervously, "How is it? Does it hurt a lot?

"Is it torn? I'll take you back to your room to see a doctor right away."

As Gabriel heard her words, his lips curled into a satisfied smile.

He reached out and grasped her hand tightly. "Jessica, I knew you were just pretending not to care. "You still care about me a lot. As soon as you heard I was hurt, look at you, you got more anxious than anyone else.

"Fool, you obviously care about me, why won't you admit it?"

Gabriel looked at her with deep affection, hoping for a response.

But she lowered her eyelashes and quickly changed the subject. "It's all your fault, being so rough. You don't know how to be gentle at all. You've made my lips swollen and red. How am I supposed to go to work now?"

He laughed and grabbed her hand, gently stroking her lips with his warm fingertips.

Bit by bit, he was incredibly tender.

He explained gently, "Jessica, I didn't do it on purpose. It's just because it's you that I can't control myself.

"I'm not usually a lustful person, but with you, I willingly surrender, time and time again."

Jessica turned her head, trying to suppress the tears welling up in her eyes.

She didn't want to show her emotions in front of him, let alone cry in front of him.

"Let go of me, I need to get back to work," she said.

"Then kiss me, and I'll let you go," he said.

Jessica got angry, glaring at him with wide eyes. "Gabriel, don't push your luck."

The next moment, she felt a soft touch on her forehead.

Soon, Gabriel let her go.

"Since you don't want to, I'll kiss you instead." With that, Gabriel released her.

As she left the stairwell, she looked around. Seeing no one, she quickly covered her lips and hurried back to her department.

As soon as she got to the department, she went straight to the restroom.

Seeing her lips red and slightly swollen in the mirror, she cursed Gabriel several times in her heart.

'How am I supposed to work now?' she thought.

If her colleagues saw this, she'd be even more embarrassed.

Fortunately, being in a hospital, some things were readily available. Jessica washed her lips with warm water and disinfected them.

After the swelling went down a bit, she applied some orange-red lipstick to cover it up.

If you didn't look closely, you wouldn't notice anything.

Only then did she feel relieved, leaving the restroom and putting on her white coat to go to work.

After a busy period, Jessica and Tina helped each other to the break room.

They had been hunched over for almost two hours because of a special patient, only straightening up to change positions occasionally.

By the end, their backs were killing them.

They massaged each other a bit, feeling a little better.

Jessica got a cup of water, and as she finished drinking, she noticed Tina staring intently at her lips.

Tina looked particularly serious and focused.

Jessica's heart skipped a beat.

She thought Tina had noticed something and got a bit nervous.

"Tina, um, do my lips really..." Jessica shyly licked her lips and started to speak.

But before she could finish, Tina excitedly nodded. "Yes, they're beautiful, absolutely stunning. Jessica, you've been wearing light-colored lipstick lately, but today's lipstick is amazing. I love it.

"What brand and shade is it? Quick, tell me; I need to get one too."

Jessica breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh? You mean this?"

Tina nodded, already opening a shopping app on her phone. "Yes, what else would I be talking about?"

Jessica nodded quickly. "Nothing."

She then found the lipstick in her bag and handed it to Tina.

Tina noted the shade and took a picture, planning to buy it after work.

Just then, Jessica's phone dinged with a message from Gabriel.

Gabriel: [Are your lips feeling better? Do you need me to have Oscar bring you some medicine?]

Jessica immediately sent a string of angry emojis.

How dared he ask? It was all his fault.

In his hospital bed, Gabriel saw the angry emojis and smiled.

Oscar accidentally saw it and couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Walton, Ms. Morgan seems angry. Why are you so happy?"

"Didn't you say you've been in a relationship before?" Gabriel asked coolly.

Oscar fell silent.

Seeing Oscar's silence, Gabriel kindly explained, "You don't understand her. If she's still willing to talk to me and send so many emojis, it means she's not so angry.

"If she were really mad, she wouldn't even bother responding."

Oscar scratched his head. His ex-girlfriend wasn't like that.

Well, every woman was different.

"Does it still hurt?" Gabriel sent another message on Facebook.

Jessica ignored him, took a deep breath, and quickly returned to the front of the ward.

About ten minutes later, the nurse's station called. "Dr. Morgan, someone is here to see you."

Jessica was puzzled. Who would come to see her at this time?

As she walked to the nurse's station, she saw Oscar supporting Gabriel.

She had to admit, Gabriel's appearance was quite striking. His arrival caused quite a stir. Several doctors and nurses stole glances at him, blushing as they passed by.

Jessica stood a bit away from him and quickly called him.

"Jessica," Gabriel answered quickly, "Don't stand at the nurse's station. Can you see me? Follow me a bit further."

Hanging up, Jessica walked ahead.

She stopped in a slightly secluded corner, and soon, Gabriel came over.

"Why are you here?" Jessica asked.

Gabriel reached out and handed her some medicine. "I brought you some medicine."

Seeing the medicine, her cheeks flushed. She whispered, "I'm much better now. I don't need this."

If people knew she needed medicine because her lips were swollen from kissing, how embarrassing would that be?

Seeing her blush, Gabriel understood her thoughts.

He leaned in closer, his voice low and sexy. "Jessica, bringing you medicine is just an excuse. I really just wanted to see you."
