Chapter 486 Jessica, You Have to Pull Yourself Together
Tina and Vincent were very anxious.
But there was nothing they could do except wait outside the door.
After ten minutes, when the door opened, Tina was the first to rush in.
Vincent, on the other hand, asked Anita about Jessica's condition.
"Dr. Delgado, how is she and the baby?" Vincent asked, clenching his fists, his voice trembling slightly.
"Dr. Morgan has lost a lot of blood and is showing signs of a miscarriage, but I will do my best to save the baby."
"Also, I noticed that Dr. Morgan is very depressed and unstable. You must find a way to make her happy. A good mood will help with the pregnancy and the baby's healthy growth. Otherwise, no matter what we do, the baby might leave her at any time."
"I'll go prescribe some medication now. You should spend more time with her."
"Okay, thank you, Dr. Delgado."
When Vincent went in, Jessica had just laid down on the bed.
The nurse had already changed the sheets, and the room was filled with the strong smell of disinfectant.
Seeing Jessica's frail appearance, Vincent felt heartbroken.
Jessica used to be such a cheerful, smiling, and radiant girl. Her smile and youthful, lively aura always attracted him.
But now, in just two days, Jessica had become like this.
Jessica's hair was slightly disheveled, her face pale, and the expression of utter despair on her face made Vincent feel even worse.
"Jessica."
He looked at her, almost instinctively reaching out his hand.
Then, just as his hand was about to touch Jessica's cheek, Vincent suddenly snapped back to reality. He curled his fingers and gently withdrew his hand.
"I know you're very sad right now. You don't have to speak, just listen to me quietly."
"I talked to Dr. Delgado. She said she would do everything to save the baby, but your mood is very important for the baby. Only if you're in a good mood can the baby grow healthily."
"Furthermore, you have Gilbert and Freddy. Even if not for yourself, for the sake of the three children, you must pull yourself together."
"If one day, Gabriel comes back, he wouldn't want to see you living in a daze, in a state of despair. He would want to see you living a gentle, independent, and radiant life even without him. Only then would he know that you are doing well without him, and he would be relieved."
After speaking, Vincent looked at Tina, "You've had a hard night. Let's go out for breakfast."
"What?"
Tina was quite surprised.
Just as she was hesitating, Vincent suddenly reached out and pulled her away.
Outside the door, Vincent let go of her, "Sorry, I was in a hurry just now. Please forgive me."
"It's okay, but is it alright to leave Jessica alone like this?"
"What she needs most right now is some quiet time alone. Jessica has always been a smart girl. I'm sure she'll understand what I just said."
"Okay."
Tina and Vincent went downstairs together.
Jessica called before they finished their breakfast.
"Tina, I want some breakfast. Can you bring me some?"
Hearing this, Tina was momentarily stunned.
Then, Tina immediately nodded, "Okay, Jessica, what do you want to eat? I'll get it for you right away."
"Anything, as long as it's light."
After hanging up the phone, Tina looked at Vincent with admiration, "You guessed that Jessica would call, didn't you?"
"Pretty much," Vincent said. "Gilbert and Freddy were born after Jessica went through a lot. For their sake, she will pull herself together. And now the Walton family needs her. For Gabriel, she will make herself strong."
"Vincent, you're amazing!"
Tina couldn't help but sincerely praise him.
As soon as she said it, she froze.
She looked up slightly, her face blushing, "Sorry, I was in a hurry just now."
After hesitating for a moment, Tina took a deep breath and said it all, "Can I call you Vincent?"
After saying that, Tina anxiously waited.
"Sure, as long as it feels natural to you."
Hearing this, Tina's delicate face immediately lit up with a charming smile, "Vincent, then I'll call you that from now on!"
"Okay."
When Tina and Vincent returned to the ward, the nurse was giving Jessica an injection.
Although Jessica was a doctor, she was quite afraid of injections.
But this time, she extended her hand voluntarily, without any fear.
Jessica had one hand receiving the IV and the other having breakfast.
Jessica ate very slowly and seriously.
Vincent was right. Now, she had no reason to be weak; she had to be strong.
Danielle needed her;
Freddy and Gilbert needed her;
Gabriel needed her, too.
If she collapsed, the Walton family would truly be broken.
She absolutely could not allow such a tragedy to happen.
After getting the progesterone injection and having breakfast, Jessica closed her eyes and slept for a few hours.
When Jessica woke up, the sunlight was very bright.
Danielle was still in a coma, and Jonah stayed by her side at all times.
Jessica also wanted to go down and see, but she had just received the injection, and Anita had instructed her not to move around, so Tina borrowed a wheelchair.
Sitting in the wheelchair, Tina pushed her to Danielle's ward.
When she arrived, Chelsea and Henry were also there.
Seeing her, Chelsea hurried over, "Jessica, what happened? Why are you in a wheelchair?"
"I'm fine. It's just that the baby is at risk of miscarriage. Dr. Delgado told me not to move around, so Tina had me sit in this. Don't worry about me. The most important thing now is to take care of Mom."
"And Gilbert and Freddy, I might need to trouble you for a while. I don't feel comfortable leaving them entirely to the servants."
Chelsea nodded vigorously, "Okay, Jessica, don't worry. I'll take good care of Freddy and Gilbert."
"Chelsea, thank you." Jessica looked at her gratefully.
"What are you talking about? I'm also a part of the Walton family. I must help."
Jessica stayed in the ward for a while. Jonah and Chelsea, worried about her health, urged her to go back to her room to rest.
But Jessica had something on her mind.
Jonah probably didn't know about Gabriel's plane accident yet.
Should she tell him?
Gabriel was his son, and Jonah had the right to know.
But Danielle had just had such a big accident, and if Jonah found out about Gabriel, his heart condition might worsen.
The consequences were unimaginable.
After much hesitation, Jessica decided to keep the secret for now.
Tina pushed her out the door, and then, as her phone rang, she asked Jessica to wait at the door for a moment.
At that moment, Jessica heard a conversation coming from inside the ward.
