Chapter 496 Nowhere to Hide, Patricia Confesses and Surrenders 1
Patricia was wearing pajamas and a face mask when Jessica burst in. She screamed in shock, "What kind of security do you have? Do you even know who this person is before letting them in?"
But it was too late.
Jessica walked over, glanced at the people in the villa, and coldly ordered, "Everyone except Patricia, clear out."
Patricia looked at Jessica in disbelief, "Who do you think you are? Jessica, this is my house. Who gave you the right to act so arrogantly here? Get out of here immediately."
Jessica ignored her and looked at Louie.
"Okay, Mrs. Walton."
With that, Louie waved his hand.
Soon, a group of people dressed in black stormed in. Each one was tall and imposing, with sunglasses that made them look even more intimidating.
Patricia felt a bit uneasy, but then she realized she was facing Jessica, not Danielle. Instantly, she felt more confident.
Besides, Danielle was already in the hospital, unconscious and unable to move her arms or legs.
She had no one to fear now.
Jessica was nothing; Patricia could crush her like an ant.
"Jessica, I advise you to know your place. I'll give you five minutes to leave, or I'll deal with you myself."
Seeing this, Louie didn't waste time and said, "Do it."
With that, dozens of people filed in, and within minutes, everyone in Patricia's villa was effortlessly removed.
With the extra people gone, the villa suddenly felt a bit empty.
At this moment, Jessica spoke, "Bring Demetrius in."
"Okay, Mrs. Walton."
Soon, Demetrius was brought in.
Seeing him, Patricia's face turned pale with shock, but she quickly hid it behind her face mask.
"What are you doing? Bringing a stranger into my home? Jessica, don't think I'll be scared just because you have more people."
"I warn you, what you're doing now is trespassing and invading my privacy. I can see you anytime."
Jessica didn't get angry but laughed instead.
She clapped her hands and said, "Sure, go ahead. When the police arrive, I'll accuse you of hiring a hitman."
Hearing this, Patricia's face turned extremely pale as she pointed at her, "What are you talking about? This is outrageous. You're slandering me."
Jessica sneered, "Slandering you?"
She was smiling, but the smile didn't reach her eyes, giving off a chilling fear.
Patricia's heart trembled. Jessica was someone she used to manipulate easily. Now, she dared to bully her?
Jessica was totally off the rails.
But Jessica's next words scared Patricia even more.
"Whether it's hiring a hitman or not isn't up to me or you. How about this: you call the police, and I'll hand over all the evidence to them and let them decide."
How could that be?
How could Jessica have evidence?
To avoid being traced, Patricia had repeatedly warned not to make any payments or transfers but to use equivalent value trades instead.
Without any transactions, how could Jessica accuse her?
Despite her anxiety, Patricia held her ground.
Smirking, Patricia laughed dismissively, "Jessica, don't try to scare me. I've been through a lot in my life. Do you think a few words from you can deceive me?"
Jessica also laughed, but her smile was more composed and assertive.
"Really?" she coldly retorted, "I never deceive people."
"I never do anything without solid evidence. Since I'm here, I've made all the necessary preparations."
Patricia's face turned paler.
And Jessica's next words further shattered all her defenses.
"Patricia, you're very smart. From the moment you planned to harm my mother-in-law, you distanced herself completely. You found your cousin Odis to act as the middleman to hire the hitman."
"You had already thought it through. If the plan failed or was discovered, you would push everything onto Odis, making it seem like you had nothing to do with it."
"Indeed, the money for Demetrius's daughter's overseas education and his mother's hospital bills had nothing to do with you; it was all from Odis."
"But Patricia, don't forget, what motive would Odis have? He had no grudge against my mother-in-law. He couldn't have planned this accident on his own; he must have been instructed by someone."
Patricia tore off her black face mask.
At that moment, she was no longer flustered.
Smiling, she calmly responded, "Is that so? Jessica, maybe you're right, but these are just your speculations. As long as Odis doesn't point me out, and I won't admit it, what can you do to me?"
"Aren't you afraid I recorded everything just now?" Jessica asked.
Patricia walked to the sofa and sat down, speaking calmly, "Don't think you can fool me. By the way, I have studied law."
"No wonder you knew how to take advantage of the legal gray areas. Patricia, you're right. As long as you don't admit it, I can't do anything to you. But you missed one thing."
"What is it?" Patricia's voice was slightly panicked.
Looking at her watch, Jessica dialed a number, "Are you here?"
"Mrs. Walton, I'm at the door."
"Okay."
A minute later, when Oscar walked into the hall with documents, Jessica approached Patricia.
At this moment, she stood, looking down at Patricia.
"Why did Jack willingly give up everything and leave the board? Why did you beg my in-laws in the middle of the night? Have you forgotten?"
"Do you think the evidence was destroyed when Gabriel had his accident?"
"No, Patricia." Jessica picked up the folder in her hand, "All the evidence of Jack's crimes is undeniable. Even without the Walton Group's top legal team, this evidence is enough to send him to prison."
"Are you indifferent to your son's downfall?"
"Now, I'm giving you the last and only chance. If you willingly turn yourself in and admit to hiring a hitman to kill my mother-in-law, I can go easy on Jack. Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless."
"Starting now, in ten minutes, either you go to the police station, or the police come to arrest Jack. Your choice."
After saying everything, Jessica remained completely silent and waited.
Time passed quickly.
Time was up, Jessica didn't hesitate and turned to leave.
