Chapter 821 Grace, Let's Get Married
Then, Kenneth took Grace's hand and said, "Let's go back!"
Behind them, Caroline was wailing in pain, "Kenneth, if you treat me like this, my father won't let you off."
"Quentin, I'm in so much pain, can you take me to the hospital?"
However, Quentin didn't move at all, his eyes were fixed on Kenneth and Grace's joined hands.
Quentin clenched his fists tightly, and a fierce, dangerous fire ignited in his eyes.
"Mr. Powell hurt my fiancée and wants to leave without saying a word?" Suddenly, Quentin's cold voice sounded from behind.
Kenneth was about to turn around when Grace held his hand, "Mr. Powell, you've already done enough for me, let me handle this!"
"Alright, but take care of yourself. If you need me, just say the word."
"Okay!"
Kenneth and Grace's conversation was almost clearly heard by Quentin.
The fire in Quentin's eyes burned even more fiercely.
"Mr. Taft, Mr. Powell hurt Caroline to protect me. If you want to pursue this, I'm right here. You can do whatever you want to get justice for her."
"I won't fight back!"
Quentin stared at her, speaking with restraint, "Grace,"
"Mr. Taft, I'll give you only five minutes. If you don't act, it will be considered as you giving up!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Grace's arm was suddenly gripped tightly.
Then, she was pulled to Quentin's side.
Quentin grabbed her chin with one hand, pulling her closer step by step.
The distance between Quentin and Grace grew closer.
It was almost as if their faces were about to touch.
Their breaths mingled together.
Grace didn't flinch or avoid him. Instead, she opened her eyes wide and looked at him calmly, "What? Mr. Taft, are you planning to kill me to avenge Caroline?"
"Then I must remind you that murder is illegal!"
"Grace." Quentin's hand slid from her chin to her neck, suddenly gripping it.
"Do you know what you're doing? Being with Kenneth is like working with a tiger; you'll only get hurt!"
"Then what are you?"
Quentin pressed his lips together, silent.
Grace continued, "You're a wolf. Since both are predators, what's the difference? At least Mr. Powell isn't married, nor does he have a girlfriend or fiancée. I won't be called a mistress."
"Mr. Taft, if you have the time, you should care more about Caroline."
"That hit just now wasn't light. Her leg might be broken."
Quentin stared at Grace's constantly moving red lips.
At that moment, he had an urge to kiss her to make her stop talking.
His fingers brushed her soft lips, gently, again and again. He suddenly leaned down.
The distance between them became even smaller, his eyes filled with affection.
Especially the desire in his eyes, which he could no longer hide. Suddenly, he bent down, his thin lips approaching Grace's.
At the same time, Caroline shouted, in a breakdown, "Quentin, don't forget, you are my fiancé, watch your behavior!"
"I don't want you to get justice for me, let her go, let Grace go!"
But Quentin ignored Caroline's words, his eyes fixed on Grace.
Just as they were about to kiss.
Suddenly, Quentin and Grace simultaneously turned their heads.
Quentin's lips landed near Grace's ear, whispering in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Grace, remember, you will only be my lover. I will get justice for you."
Grace smiled and brought her lips close to Quentin's earlobe.
"Really? Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Taft, but I no longer need it."
After speaking, she quickly took a few steps back, putting distance between herself and Quentin.
"Mr. Taft, the five minutes are up. Can I leave now?"
Caroline cursed angrily, "Get out, Grace, get out of here right now. I never want to see you again."
Grace turned to look at Caroline.
"Sorry, but rest assured, until you're caught and sent to prison, I will haunt you."
Then, Grace turned and walked towards Kenneth.
She leaned in and whispered, "Mr. Powell, do you mind if I hold your arm?"
"My pleasure!"
Downstairs, Grace let go of Kenneth, "Thank you, Mr. Powell. I didn't expect you to come."
At that moment, the driver arrived, and they both got into the car.
Kenneth spoke slowly, "No need to thank me, it wasn't just for you."
"I saved you for Mark's sake. If he were here, he wouldn't want to see you bullied. I just want him to be at ease; besides, if Caroline hadn't insulted Mark repeatedly, I wouldn't have treated her so violently."
"I understand, even though it was for Mark, I owe you, Mr. Powell, so thank you."
The car quickly fell silent.
Grace looked at the scenery outside the window, feeling the wind, trying not to recall the recent events.
Otherwise, Grace feared she might start crying.
"Mr. Powell, can I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead!"
"Did you know from the beginning that Quentin already knew the truth and wouldn't help me, nor stand by my side?"
Kenneth nodded frankly.
"Then why did you let me go? To make me give up?"
"Partly, but not entirely. I knew there was a misunderstanding between you two. If this could clear it up and bring you back together, I wouldn't have to worry about you being with Mark in the future."
"If it didn't clear up, you could give up completely."
Grace looked at him, puzzled, "Aren't you afraid I'll turn around and be with Mark?"
"No."
Kenneth said this with great certainty.
He looked at Grace, becoming extremely serious, "Because I won't give you that chance."
"Are you always this confident?"
"Yes, and Grace, I have an idea. Do you want to hear it?"
"What idea?"
Kenneth looked over, speaking calmly and restrained, "Grace, I've thought it through. Let's get married."
Not only Grace, but even the driver in the front seat was shocked.
The driver suddenly hit the brakes, and in an instant, Grace was almost thrown out.
Fortunately, Kenneth caught her.
But this pull made her fall into Kenneth's arms.
Their position instantly became ambiguous.
Grace blushed, lifting her head from his arms in disbelief, "Mr. Powell, do you know what you just said?"
