Chapter 164 Gabriel Was Jealous

Jessica turned around again.

Forcing a smile, she asked, "Miss, is there anything else you need?"

"You look familiar. What's your name?" Patricia asked elegantly.

"Mom?" Jack called out, seemingly a bit impatient.

Patricia immediately shot him a look, and Jack closed his mouth, saying nothing more.

"Miss, my name is Jessica Morgan," replied Jessica politely.

It really was that name. Patricia's eyes instantly lit up with excitement.

However, she still tried her best to contain herself. Patricia was quite excited but managed to hold it in.

After Jessica left, Patricia immediately looked at Jack. "She is nice, and she works at your hospital. You should go for it."

"Mom, what are you talking about? We don't even know each other," said Jack, unknowing of Patricia's purpose.

Patricia gave him a dissatisfied look. "Well, now you do. She just said her name is Jessica, and she's a new employee at your hospital. As the vice president, pursuing an employee should be a piece of cake for you."

Jack also got angry. "I'm not talking to you. You're just obsessed with finding a daughter-in-law."

Patricia argued, "No, I want this Jessica to be my daughter-in-law. I don't want anyone else."

Jack was speechless.

After a brief argument, Jack was the first to leave, leaving Patricia sitting there alone.

She looked at where Jessica was sitting, took a photo, and sent it to someone.

Then she made a call. "I found that girl. Go check and see if it's her. Also, who is the man next to her? Check him out too. Time is of the essence. This is very important and cannot be delayed."

"Yes, Mrs. Smith."

Outside, Gabriel hadn't left.

Ever since Jessica and Vincent went in, he had been waiting.

Time passed, and he checked his watch once more.

What could possibly be keeping Jessica and Vincent?

They had been inside for an extended period without emerging.

After waiting for about half an hour, Gabriel couldn't wait any longer and lost his patience. He walked straight in.

Just as he reached the hospital entrance, he saw Jessica and Vincent walking towards him, chatting and laughing.

Seeing this, Gabriel felt even more upset.

As Jessica and Vincent approached the entrance, he quickly stepped back outside.

Finally, they reached the entrance. Gabriel took out his phone and called Jessica. "Hello, this is Gabriel."

"I know. Do you need something?" Jessica asked, her tone very calm.

Gabriel, not one to back down, immediately said arrogantly, "It's nothing. I just happened to be at the hospital and thought you might be getting off work. I wanted to see if you wanted to go home together."

"Thank you for the offer, Mr. Walton, but it seems we're not going the same way, and we don't live in the same house."

"I can..." Before Gabriel could finish, Jessica hung up.

Listening to the beeping sound from the other end, he clenched his fist in frustration.

More importantly, in the next moment, he watched as Jessica got into Vincent's Jeep. His eyes flared red, and his fists clenched instantly.

Fine, not going the same way with him, but going the same way with Vincent?

As far as he knew, Vincent lived even farther from her current place, making it even more out of the way.

In the car, Jessica quietly looked at the scenery outside the window.

Her expression was calm, showing no emotional fluctuations. However, since receiving Gabriel's call, she had become silent, clearly affected.

"Did you have a fight with him?" Vincent asked at a traffic light.

Jessica was taken aback for a moment, then realized that apart from a few people around her, others probably didn't know she and Gabriel were divorced.

She thought about it and decided there was no need to explain.

"Relax, couples are bound to have arguments. Once the conflict passes, you'll naturally make up." Vincent comforted.

Jessica looked over and, seeing the perfect lines of Vincent's face, suddenly felt a deep sense of emotion.

Thinking to herself, she didn't hide it and said directly, "If you get married, you'll definitely be devoted to your wife. I can imagine she would be very happy."

Vincent smiled but said nothing.

As they passed the traffic light, Jessica pointed. "Turn left here."

Vincent was a bit surprised. "Did you move?"

Jessica was embarrassed to say that she had moved alone, while Gabriel hadn't and was still living at the original place.

So she just lightly replied, "Yes."

When they arrived, Jessica got out of the Jeep. However, due to the high base of the vehicle, she accidentally twisted her ankle as she stepped out.

Jessica let out a cry.

Vincent immediately ran over from the driver's seat, reaching out to support her, and asked with concern, "Are you okay?"

"It seems I twisted my ankle. It hurts a bit," Jessica said, her delicate brows furrowing slightly.

"Then don't move. I'll carry you back."

Hearing the word "carry," Jessica was a bit startled and immediately shook her head in refusal. "No, no need. I can walk in myself, just a bit slower."

Vincent realized his words might have been inappropriate and quickly corrected himself. "I'll call Gabriel to come and help you up."

Jessica thought for a moment and finally compromised. "You can help me up."

"Alright."

Gabriel had just gotten out of his car when he saw Vincent supporting Jessica, the two of them walking slowly inside.

Describing it as "supporting" was an understatement; they were practically embracing.

Gabriel was furious.

From the time he got off work until now, he had done nothing but follow her, and it was getting more and more frustrating.

As he watched them ascend, Gabriel got out of his car, leaned casually against it, and started smoking one cigarette after another, just to pass the time.

He didn't remember how long he waited, probably another half hour.

Finally, he saw a familiar figure. Vincent was leaving.

Seeing him drive away, Gabriel immediately threw down his cigarette butt and called Jessica. His voice was direct. "Are you at home?"

"Yes." Jessica's answer was as simple as could be.

"Come down. I need to talk to you," Gabriel said.

"I don't want to come down."

"What? You can see Vincent but not me? You seemed pretty happy with him." Gabriel said, feeling very jealous.

Gabriel now felt annoyed just mentioning Vincent's name.

"Gabriel, please be reasonable. I twisted my ankle and can't move. How do you expect me to come down and see you?" Jessica retorted.
