Chapter 213 Very Jealous 2

Jessica walked over to find Gabriel lying under a tree, eyes shut tight.

Jessica asked, worried, "Where does it hurt? Let me see."

Gabriel didn't budge.

"Where? Is the wound reopening? Does it hurt where the bullet hit?" she pressed.

Still nothing.

Jessica bit her lip, deciding not to push further.

Finally, Gabriel cracked. He opened his eyes, glaring at her with a mix of hurt and anger. He said sarcastically, "You still care about me?"

Jessica replied helplessly, "Of course I do."

"Then why didn't you come when I was coughing and in pain? I even called out, but you ignored me," he grumbled.

Jessica retorted, "But I'm here now, aren't I?"

Gabriel complained, "Not the same. You only thought of my wound after you took care of his."

"I bandaged you first. He was more seriously injured and hadn't been treated yet. I had to focus," Jessica explained.

Gabriel turned away, snorting. He grumbled, "So, he's more important. He comes first, I come second."

"I never said that," Jessica replied and shrugged.

Gabriel insisted, "But that's what you did."

Jessica stayed quiet.

This was ridiculous. She hadn't done that at all.

Gabriel leaned back against the tree, eyes closed again, sulking. He remarked, "Anyway, it looked like you only cared about him, not me."

He said with jealousy, "Jessica, you're driving me nuts."

Nearby, Frank was struggling to hold back his laughter. If he wasn't trying so hard, he'd be laughing out loud by now.

Frank thought, 'This trip was totally worth it just to see Mr. Walton's performance.'

Jessica stood there, thinking. She asked, "Does your wound still hurt?"

"It already hurt," Gabriel muttered.

"Oh," Jessica nodded.

Jessica suggested, "They've already left. How about we go down too? You need to get that bullet out."

"No need. It's just a bullet; it won't do much to me," Gabriel said arrogantly.

Jessica stayed silent.

Jessica wondered, 'What's wrong with Gabriel?

'He was fine a moment ago.'

Jessica contemplated, 'Why did his mood change after I bandaged Vincent's wound?

'Wait a minute.'

Suddenly, it clicked. Jessica's lips curled into a smile.

Gabriel was jealous.

She'd been worried about the bullets in both of them. Even though they hadn't hit any vital organs, they were still in their bodies. As long as the bullets weren't removed, she'd still be worried.

So Gabriel was angry.

With a smile, Jessica walked up and called out, "Gabriel, open your eyes. Come on, open your eyes. Are you ignoring me?"

Gabriel sat there like a statue.

He didn't move.

Thinking quickly, Jessica picked a long leaf from nearby and gently tickled Gabriel's face with it.

As she tickled him, Jessica whispered, "Gabriel, open your eyes. Come on, open your eyes."

After a few minutes, Gabriel couldn't take it anymore and opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was Jessica's smiling face, her lips curved in a bright, innocent, and adorable way.

Instantly, Gabriel felt his heart ache even more. He was already half-dead with anger, and here she was, not noticing anything, still smiling so brightly and innocently.

Suddenly, Jessica leaned in. She placed both hands on Gabriel's cheeks, gently lifting them.

"Smile, Gabriel, come on, smile," she coaxed. "Look at you, with that stern face, not cute at all."

Gabriel crossed his arms, his face still cold. He retorted, "I can't smile as brightly and gently as Vincent."

Jessica chuckled inwardly. He was indeed jealous.

Unable to keep up the act, Jessica lowered her hands and looked seriously at Gabriel's stern face. She asked, "Gabriel, you're jealous, aren't you?"

Caught off guard, Gabriel immediately glanced at Jessica. In his heart, he thought, 'Do you even need to ask, silly Jessica? You just realized it now.'

But what he said was, "No, am I such a petty person?"

"Oh? Is that so?" Jessica replied as she looked at him, deliberately drawing out her words as if she understood. "In that case, it seems Gabriel doesn't need me to comfort him!"

Saying this, Jessica stepped back. However, in that instant, Gabriel suddenly looked up, quickly reached out like a cheetah, grabbed Jessica's arm, and pulled her into his embrace, holding her tightly.

At the same time, his deep voice sounded in her ear, "Where are you going?"

Jessica teased, "Nowhere, just thought that since Gabriel doesn't want to see me, I'd stay a bit further away."

Gabriel insisted, "No, stay right here in my arms."

Jessica pressed her lips together, smiling softly. She felt her heart filled with warmth and sweetness.

Jessica asked sweetly, "So, you're not angry anymore?"

Gabriel answered, "How can I be angry when my girlfriend is about to run away?"

Jessica lowered her head and smiled gently.

"But being completely ignored, I'm still very angry," Gabriel added.

Jessica remained silent. Who said women were fickle? Clearly, men were too.

Gabriel reached out, turning Jessica around to face him, and said seriously, "From now on, don't ignore me."

Jessica nodded in agreement.

Gabriel insisted seriously, "Don't get too close to other men in front of me."

Jessica replied innocently, "When was I ever close to anyone else?"

Gabriel said stubbornly, "No, even being too close is not okay."

"Gabriel, you can't ask me to follow that. You're being too overbearing," Jessica protested.

Gabriel remarked, "No other choice, Jessica. Loving you makes me this way."

He continued, "The current me is no longer the gentle, elegant, and graceful man I used to be. Being with you has made me narrow-minded, irritable, and overbearing."

And he added, "I've developed so many flaws, so many shortcomings. Will you still like me?"

Jessica reached out, gently caressing his cheek, suddenly smiling through her tears. She replied gently, "Silly, do you think I love you just for your good qualities?"

Jessica confessed, "Fool, I love you for all of you, the complete you. No matter what you're like, as long as it's you, Jessica will love you!"

As Jessica finished speaking, Gabriel could no longer hold back. He cupped her face and kissed her passionately.
