Chapter 710 Grace Obtains the Evidence
"You came so early, it seems you've already thought about how to make it up to me. Let's hear it," Marlon said smugly.
Grace sneered and looked at him with extreme disdain. "Marlon, you don't think I'm here to apologize and beg for your forgiveness, do you?"
"What else?" Marlon looked at her in disbelief.
Grace opened her bag and threw a stack of photos at him.
Marlon flipped through them, and his expression changed instantly.
But he quickly adjusted.
"Just a few photos, what do they prove?"
"Besides, who hasn't had a relationship? It's all in the past between her and me."
Marlon laughed dismissively. "Grace, you don't naively think a few photos can deal with me, do you?"
Grace looked at him calmly. "Indeed, they can't. But what if I add a recording of your ex-girlfriend personally accusing you of cheating?"
"What did you say?"
This time, Marlon visibly panicked.
His face turned ashen.
"Grace, you'd better understand your current position. To me, you're nothing. It would be effortless to crush you."
"So, I advise you to watch your words."
Grace smiled calmly and pulled out a voice recorder.
"Thanks for your honesty. What about now?"
Marlon's expression changed immediately. He kicked the blanket off and lunged towards Grace.
Marlon shouted viciously, "Grace, you bitch, give it back to me."
But he was injured, with tubes attached to him.
Grace didn't need to fight him; she just took a few steps back.
Helplessly, Marlon became even more furious. "Grace, don't you dare expose this."
"I warn you, if you dare to release it, I will kill you."
Grace just looked at him coldly. "Marlon, I gave you a chance."
"I originally thought, as long as you were willing to come forward and clarify everything, tell everyone that you had ill intentions and tried to force yourself on me, that you were the one who was shameless, I could give you a chance."
"But now, it seems I was wrong. You're beyond redemption."
"Since you like exposing things so much, I'll treat you the same way you treated me."
With that, Grace opened the door, walked out, and closed it behind her.
Grace's figure grew more distant.
Marlon screamed desperately behind her, "Grace, come back, come back here."
"Don't expose it."
"If you make my life miserable, I won't let you have it easy either."
But no one heard him anymore.
In the end, he slumped to the ground, his face almost lifeless.
At that moment, Beth pushed the door open and walked in.
Seeing Marlon lying on the ground in a defeated state, looking so miserable, her heart softened again.
Beth quickly ran over to help him up. "Marlon, what's wrong? Get up."
"I don't need it. Grace just left. You need to chase her immediately. She has evidence that could ruin my reputation. It must be destroyed."
Beth's eyes widened. "What evidence? Is it that serious?"
"Now's not the time to talk about it. You need to go quickly. No matter what it takes, you must get the evidence back, or I'm done for. Do you understand?"
Seeing Beth still in a daze, Marlon couldn't control himself and shouted at her, "What are you waiting for? Go!"
Beth was completely stunned, then burst into tears. "Marlon, what exactly is the evidence? Can you explain it to me? I feel like you're hiding a lot from me."
"I'm begging you, just go after her first. I'll explain everything later, okay?"
Beth nodded. "Okay, I'll go now."
But when she went down, Grace and Linda were already long gone.
Beth sent people to search the hotel and the film crew, but no one was found.
In the end, she could only return to Marlon's hospital room.
As soon as he saw her, Marlon anxiously asked, "Beth, how did it go? Did you get it?"
"You're so capable, you must have gotten it, right?"
Although she didn't want to shatter his hopes, Beth bit her lip and spoke, "I'm sorry, Marlon. They disappeared without a trace. I really couldn't find them."
Marlon's anger surged instantly.
He raised his hand, almost ready to hit Beth.
However, in an instant, he regained his composure, and the hand that was about to strike turned into a gentle caress.
"Never mind if you didn't get it."
"I'm sorry, Beth. I was too anxious earlier and put all the pressure on you. You don't blame me, do you?"
Seeing his gentle eyes and soft tone, Beth's heart softened.
All her previous grievances and unhappiness vanished without a trace.
Beth reached out and hugged Marlon tightly.
"I'm sorry, Marlon. It's my fault for not being able to help you. You were so harsh to me just now. I was heartbroken."
"I thought you'd be mad at me. I'm so glad you're not."
"Don't worry, no matter what evidence Grace has, no matter how she slanders you, I won't believe it. I'll always believe you. You're the one I love!"
Marlon kissed her on the cheek.
But his eyes were dark and shifting.
If Beth looked closely, she would be frightened by that look.
He was very clear in his mind: at least Beth believed in him, so he had to hold on to her tightly.
If he lost Beth's support, he would have no way out.
So, he had to keep Beth happy.
Otherwise, he was completely doomed.
After the tender moment, Marlon looked at Beth and spoke very seriously.
"Beth, you kept asking me what evidence Grace had. I'll tell you now."
"She brought a voice recorder to trap me into saying you were the cheater and that I was with you because I cheated."
"I admit, I did have a girlfriend before, but I had already amicably broken up with her when I met you."
"Beth, I truly love you. If this news gets out, I don't care if everyone curses me and doesn't believe me, as long as you believe me."
"I don't care about others. I only care about your opinion."
Beth was very shocked by this.
"Marlon, is everything you said true?"
"Of course, in this life, I've only loved you."
"What about your ex-girlfriend?"
"To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that the talent show I participated in became popular, I might have married her. We met through a blind date, so it was just suitable, not love."
"Until I met you, I didn't know what love was."
"Beth, do you believe me?"
Beth was deeply moved by his words.
She nodded vigorously. "Okay, Marlon, I believe you. Of course, I believe you."
"Don't worry, no matter what happens, I won't leave you."
"Thank you, Beth. I love you."
