Chapter 524 Rejecting Celia
"Francis, are you asleep?"
Celia's gentle voice sounded from outside the door.
"What's up?" he asked.
"I'm feeling a bit bored and want to talk to you. Is that okay?"
Her voice sounded especially tender in the night.
After hesitating for a moment, Francis opened the door.
When he saw Celia in her sexy nightgown, he was momentarily stunned.
Celia thought he was amazed by her post-bath appearance and smiled tenderly and seductively. "The door is open, aren't you going to let me in to sit for a while?"
"Come in!"
Once in the room, Celia looked around and then sat down by Francis's bed.
They chatted for a while.
Francis looked at Celia. "It's getting late, and it's getting chilly. You should go back and rest early."
"Okay."
Celia responded and then stood up.
Just as she was about to walk out the door, she suddenly turned around and hugged Francis from behind.
Her voice was even more tender, it reached deep into the soul. "Francis, I..."
Halfway through her sentence, she became particularly shy.
But thinking of something, she mustered up the courage. "Francis, I don't want to go back tonight. We are already engaged, and the wedding is set. Can we sleep together tonight?"
These words almost exhausted all of Celia's courage.
Although it was a bit hard to say, she did not regret it.
After speaking, her heart was trembling, and she felt extremely anxious.
However, she didn't hear a response for a long time, so Celia panicked.
"Francis," she called out again, her voice extremely charming.
Sighing, Francis turned to look at Celia. "It's cold at night. Go back and rest early. Your body can't take it."
"But I don't want to go back. I just want to..."
Celia's words were interrupted. "Celia, precisely because you are my fiancée, I cherish you even more."His voice and expression were both gentle, making him seem like the epitome of a gentleman. Yet, with that same softness, he delivered the cruelest rejection.
No matter how many times she expressed herself, no matter how proactive she was, he rejected her.
After all, Celia was a girl.
Being rejected several times left her with no more courage.
But she knew that courage like today's didn't come every time. If she lost it this time, she would never have such courage again.
Taking a step forward, Celia's soft little hand hugged Francis tightly again.
She stood on tiptoe, looking up with admiration at the handsome and sexy Francis in front of her. "Francis, I'm not someone else. I'm your fiancée. In a month, we will be married."
"I want your approval, so let me stay with you, okay?"
"Celia."
Francis touched her face, then took off his clothes and put them on her.
Then he said, "I'm very tired today. I want to rest after taking a bath. Let me take you back first."
These words blocked all the words Celia wanted to say next.
Celia's expression immediately stiffened, and her heart felt even more sorrowful.
He still refused.
And he refused so decisively, without a trace of hesitation.
In the end, Celia, wearing Francis's coat, almost returned to her room in a daze.
After taking a bath, Francis lay in bed but couldn't fall asleep.
What puzzled him even more was that his mind was full of the woman named Jessica.
Jessica's voice and smile, her voice;
Jessica's every move, including her coquettishness.
At that moment, in the dead of night, Jessica's figure appeared in his mind.
Clearer and clearer each time.
'How could this be? Francis, are you losing your mind?'
'Francis, wake up. Celia is your fiancée. You've only met Jessica a few times.'
But no matter how much he tried to convince himself, he dreamed of Jessica that night.
The next morning, the atmosphere at breakfast was a bit tense.
Celia ate silently, her head almost always down, not saying much.
Usually, Celia talked a lot at the table, but now that she wasn't talking, the table seemed to have suddenly gone cold.
Francis also ate with his head down.
Seeing him so calm and unaffected, Celia felt even more frustrated.
She pushed her bowl away and said coldly, "I'm done. You guys continue."
After speaking, she returned to her room.
Celia's mother, Alisha Bell, noticed something was wrong and knocked on the door, walking in and grabbing her hand. "Celia, what's wrong? You're so angry early in the morning. Did you fight with Francis?"
"Mom, do you know? Yesterday I..."
Halfway through her sentence, Celia blushed.
After all, it was a private matter, and even though it was her mother, she didn't know how to say it.
"Mom, do you think Francis doesn't love me anymore?" Celia asked worriedly.
"How could that be? You just haven't been sleeping well these days, so you're overthinking."
"He came back very late yesterday. Someone said they saw him riding a motorcycle with a woman around the island, and he has been acting strange since he came back last night."
"Celia, he might just be tired from work recently. Don't overthink it."
But Celia was still worried.
"Mom, I hid something from you. A few days ago, a woman came looking for him. That woman is named Jessica Morgan. She said in front of Francis that he had lost his memory and mentioned his previous identity and name, and even claimed to be his wife."
"Not only that, Jessica said they already have twin sons, and she's pregnant again, with a big belly."
Alisha couldn't stay calm after hearing this. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Because Francis was very cold to her at the time and didn't believe a word she said, so I didn't take it seriously."
"You were foolish. Even if he has lost his memory now, he can't withstand Jessica mentioning it repeatedly. Besides, if Jessica is his wife, it would be easy to trigger his memories."
"Mom, what should I do?"
The more Celia listened, the more panicked she felt.
"Don't worry. Calm down. Things haven't reached the worst point yet."
"Mom, you have to think of something. I love Francis. I don't want to lose him."
"I know. How about this, I'll talk to him in a few days and try to move up your wedding date to avoid any other issues."
Celia nodded. "Okay."
"Mom, do you think Jessica could be Francis's wife?"
Alisha scoffed lightly. "Once you two are married, it won't matter. The important thing is that you get married quickly."
