Chapter 176 Gabriel, I like you

As soon as she thought of that scene, Jessica felt like a huge gash had been torn open in her chest.

Blood gushed from the wound, making her gasp in pain. She had to take deep breaths to ease it a bit.

But it still hurt like hell.

She really wanted to ask, always had.

But she didn't have the courage or the right.

After asking, Jessica's heart was left hanging.

Jack's tall figure froze for a moment.

What was she talking about?

Jack was totally confused and stayed silent.

For what felt like forever, Jessica got no answer.

She lowered her eyes, let go of Jack's hand, leaned back on the sofa, and gave a self-mocking smile. "You didn't deny it, so you really do like them."

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

Yeah, they're beautiful, with great figures. Every man likes that. How could Gabriel not?

Gabriel was right. He had plenty of other options.

Gabriel could still be happy and carefree.

The only one who couldn't let go was her.

’Jessica, you idiot, you fool.‘

‘Why do you have to love him? Why can't you let him go?’

In her heart, she cursed herself a thousand times, ten thousand times.

But it was no use. She couldn't let go of this relationship.

She still loved him. What could she do? She still loved him so much.

Seeing him with those women, her heart felt like it was going to break, like it was bleeding.

She wanted to cry.

She really, really wanted to cry.

But she didn't want to cry in front of him, didn't want him to look down on her again.

"Go!" Jessica said, holding back her discomfort.

Jack, seeing her terrible state, was a bit worried. "Can you be alone?"

"I can, I can."

"Alright."

Nodding, Jack pushed the door and walked out.

Instantly, the sound of the door closing reached Jessica's ears.

He left!

He really left.

Tears instantly flowed from Jessica's eyes.

Her heart hurt so much, like someone was pulling on it with a thousand ropes, making it hurt to even breathe.

Stumbling to the bathroom, Jessica turned on the shower and squatted directly under it.

The water from the shower was cold at first.

Jessica shivered from the cold, hugging herself tightly.

Later, the water gradually warmed up, and Jessica's body also gradually warmed up a bit.

Hot water poured over her body, filling the bathroom with steam.

It wasn't until then that Jessica felt like she had regained a little bit of her heartbeat. Otherwise, she felt like she was dying.

But even so, she was still distressed.

As Jack went downstairs, Gabriel's car just arrived.

His blue eyes narrowed, staring intently at that tall figure. Luckily, he came down, otherwise, he wouldn't have let him off.

Then, Gabriel got out of the car and rushed madly towards Jessica's house.

The door was closed, tightly shut. Luckily, he had left his fingerprint here last time.

So he easily opened the door.

Opening the door, Gabriel eagerly searched. "Jessica."

He searched while calling. "Jessica."

But there was no sign of her in the living room or bedroom. Gabriel was scared, shouting loudly, "Jessica."

Suddenly, he heard the sound of water in the bathroom.

Without thinking, Gabriel pushed open the bathroom door.

Seeing Jessica in her clothes, sitting on the ground drenched with water and her hair hanging over her face, he rushed over and scooped her up in a heartfelt hug.

"Jessica, what's wrong?"

Holding her, Gabriel's first thought was that she was feeling unwell.

"Tell me, are you feeling unwell?"

Finally, Jessica opened her eyes. When she saw Gabriel's face becoming clearer, she couldn't hold back anymore and started crying.

But the tears were quickly washed away by the water.

Still, Gabriel held her face, gently wiping it like she was a fragile treasure.

His voice was so gentle.

Wiping while asking, "Jessica, where are you feeling unwell?"

In the private room, wasn't he cold and indifferent to her, treating her like a stranger?

Why was he suddenly being so nice to her?

Jessica looked at him, tears streaming down her face, pitifully saying, "I feel unwell everywhere."

She reached out, her slender fingers clutching her chest. "But here, here hurts the most, Gabriel, do you know? It hurts."

"It hurts so much, I want it to stop hurting, but I can't control it, I really can't control it."

The more she spoke, the more she cried.

"Tell me, how can it stop hurting? How can it stop feeling bad?"

"Sorry Jessica, it's my fault, I shouldn't have let you drink. I'll take you to the doctor now."

Gabriel thought her chest pain was caused by drinking, making her feel unwell.

Jessica smiled, pulling him. "Gabriel, you're so stupid, it's not my body that hurts, it's my heart."

"My heart, it hurts here, do you understand?"

After saying that, she tilted her head back, letting the water from the shower wash over her face.

It seemed like this was the only way to slightly relieve the pain.

But it only relieved a little bit of the pain.

Hugging herself again, Jessica continued to squat under the shower, her head hanging low, still feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Suddenly, a faint whimpering sound accompanied by the sound of water reached Gabriel's ears, though faint, it was clear.

She lifted her head, crying softly. "Gabriel, how can you treat me like that? Do you know how much it hurts?"

"Sorry, Jessica." He stroked her cheek, unable to say anything else but apologize.

Just apologizing, continuously apologizing.

"I don't want 'sorry,' what's the use of 'sorry.'"

"I like you so much, it hurts my heart, but you only make me sad, make me feel bad."

"You held those two women, you were so cold to me, you treated me like a stranger, you didn't worry about me at all, it hurts, Gabriel, my heart hurts so much."

The more she spoke, the sadder Jessica felt.

Maybe it was the alcohol, she didn't hold back, saying everything that came to mind.

"Xavier passed away. I have no family, no parents, no relatives. I thought you would protect me, but you didn't. You never did, and you always hurt my feelings.."

"Gabriel, do you know, I have nothing, but I wasn't afraid because I knew I had you, but now, I lose you."

"I like you, I really, really like you, please don't leave me, okay?" After saying that, tears filled her eyes.
