Chapter 423 You're Making a Scene, I'm Laughing 2
"Of course." Jessica let go of Gabriel and was about to turn around.
But Gabriel suddenly wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer, and said, "I'll give you a chance, why don't you ask me for something?"
"No," Jessica refused flatly.
Then she pushed Gabriel away and turned around swiftly.
However, when she saw Gilbert and Freddy standing in the living room in their pajamas, with their clear eyes wide open, looking at her, Jessica felt instantly embarrassed.
In front of her sons, she had hugged Gabriel and acted all coy, even standing on tiptoe to kiss him.
Pushing Gabriel, Jessica looked at him coquettishly. "It's all your fault, why didn't you remind me?"
Gabriel spread his hands innocently and said, "Jessica, I asked you, and I even gave you a chance."
"But you didn't say it was this!" Jessica felt she needed to calm down and couldn't talk to Gilbert and Freddy for a while.
"Everything after they wake up is up to you, I'm going to calm down." With that, Jessica almost fled to the bedroom and closed the door.
She needed to calm down.
At this moment, Gilbert and Freddy looked at Jessica's back, both puzzled.
What happened to Jessica? She not only didn't kiss them or say good morning, but she also walked right past them as if she didn't see them at all.
"Mommy!" Gilbert and Freddy turned around and called out to Jessica in unison.
Gabriel immediately walked over and affectionately ruffled their hair. "Don't call her, Mommy probably won't respond to you right now, and she doesn't want to see you either."
"Why?" Freddy asked.
Gilbert answered, "Dad, is it because Freddy and I didn't go to bed on time last night and slept in today, so Mommy is mad?"
Quickly, Gilbert and Freddy earnestly promised, "Dad, we're sorry, we won't stay up late or sleep in anymore, we'll listen to Mommy."
"No, that's not it." Gabriel quickly squatted down to comfort them and explained, "Mommy isn't mad at you, she's just shy."
"Shy?" Freddy tilted his head, puzzled.
Gabriel nodded and continued, "Because Mommy kissed Daddy just now and you saw it. She's afraid you'll laugh at her, so she's shy and wants to calm down by herself."
"So what? Mommy kisses me and Gilbert too." Freddy said innocently.
Gilbert understood a bit more.
He smiled shyly and said, "Freddy, you don't get it, Mommy kissing us is different from kissing Daddy."
"A kiss is a kiss, what's the difference?" Freddy said confidently.
Gilbert couldn't help but pat him lightly. "Silly, Mommy kisses Daddy because she likes and loves him."
Freddy looked at Gilbert, dissatisfied. " You're the silly one. Doesn't Mommy like us? Mommy loves me the most."
Gilbert stuck out his tongue, unable to explain, but he knew it was different.
In the room, Jessica heard their conversation and felt her cheeks getting even redder.
It was the first time her sons had caught her, and Gilbert and Freddy were seriously discussing it.
She realized she needed to be more careful in the future. It was all Gabriel's fault, he saw it and didn't say anything. He must have done it on purpose.
In the living room, Gabriel held Gilbert and Freddy's hands and led them to the sofa.
Then he sat next to them and explained seriously, "Freddy and Gilbert, you're both right, but I need to add something."
"Jessica loves me and she loves you too so Freddy is right. But, although it's all love, these two kinds of love are different. Jessica's love for you is motherly love, the love all mothers have for their children."
"Jessica's love for me, and my love for Jessica, is the love between a husband and wife. You're still young, and you might not understand even if I explain it, but you'll get it when you grow up."
Gilbert raised his hand high. "Dad, I understand. Dad likes Mom just like I like Olivia in kindergarten, right?"
Gabriel pondered for a moment and nodded. "Yes, you could understand it that way."
Freddy also happily said, "Then I get it too, I like Sienna the most, I like playing with her."
Listening to Gilbert and Freddy, Gabriel felt both relieved and worried.
He was relieved that Gilbert and Freddy had great comprehension.
He was worried that they already had girls they liked in kindergarten.
It seemed he wouldn't have to worry about his daughters-in-law in the future!
After making sure Gilbert and Freddy washed up and changed clothes, Gabriel said, "Alright, I'm going to prepare breakfast. You go to the room and call your mom to come eat, okay?"
"Okay!" With that, Gilbert and Freddy immediately walked to the bedroom.
Jessica had just changed her clothes when Gilbert and Freddy pushed the door open.
Then, Gilbert and Freddy each hugged one of Jessica's arms. "Mommy, we know everything, Dad already told us, but you don't have to be shy!"
"Gilbert and I don't mind at all!" Freddy said.
"Yeah, we're happy that Mommy likes Daddy!" Gilbert added.
Hearing Gilbert and Freddy, Jessica felt a weight lift off her chest.
Plus, after being alone for a while, she had calmed down a lot.
But being caught by her sons for the first time, she still felt a bit uneasy.
After leaving the bedroom, Jessica quickly washed up.
When she walked to the dining table, Gabriel had already prepared breakfast.
Although it was a bit late, Gilbert and Freddy were a bit hungry.
But when Jessica arrived, Gilbert and Freddy were sitting properly, with their utensils ready, sitting straight. Neither of them had started eating, they were all waiting for her.
"Go ahead and eat, I know you're hungry," Jessica said as she sat down.
Gilbert and Freddy were indeed hungry, and after getting the go-ahead, they started eating happily.
After breakfast, Jessica started cleaning up the dishes.
Gabriel made a phone call.
After hanging up, he walked over to Jessica. "Jessica, should we start preparing to go back to the States? I just had Oscar check, and the flights are pretty tight, we need to plan."
The days of sweetness had almost washed away her deepest worries.
Now that it was brought up, Jessica's heart sank.
Drying her hands, she looked at him seriously. "Gabriel, we can't go back yet."
"What's wrong?"
