Chapter 61 Gabriel Walton Went Crazy
Jessica Morgan immediately stopped crying, and her tears ceased to flow.
The crying stopped just like that.
Gabriel, however, felt a mix of emotions he couldn't quite explain, accompanied by a deep sense of desolation.
"So, you're afraid of me kissing you like that?"
His slender fingers gently caressed Jessica's cheek, his deep black eyes hiding the emotions buried within at this moment.
Jessica turned her head, feeling awkward no matter what she said at thatis moment.
Returning to her seat, Gabriel continued driving.
This time, his driving was relatively normal.
When they arrived home, Jessica went straight to the bathroom to take a shower.
She was tired and wanted to wash up and sleep early.
As for the issues between him and Diana, she didn't want to waste any more thoughts on them today.
Too much had happened today, and she needed to calm down and bring her emotions back to normal.
Besides, only when she rested well would the baby be fine.
Now, in her heart, the baby was the most important thing.
However, Jessica didn't expect that as soon as she lay down on the bed, the next moment, she was pulled ionto a strong pair of hands.
Instantly, her petite body lay on top of Gabriel's body.
Her body pressed against his, her breath against his, her heart connected to his.
Everything about them was so close.
Her head was resting right on his chest.
Just by slightly lifting her head, she could clearly see his exquisite and flawless face.
But Jessica didn't lift her head.
She just stayed lying on his chest, silently listening to the rhythm of their heartbeats.
Gabriel didn't speak, and she didn't want to speak talk either.
For a long while, the whole room was extremely quiet, with only the sounds of their breathing flowing.
Finally, Gabriel spoke, "The person we I saw at the hospital today was you, Jessica."
"You said it wasyou were at school, why did you lie to me?"
Jessica pursed her lips, not wanting to discuss that issue at all.
Discussing it would only make her remember the discomfort and pain she felt back then, with no other benefits.
After Gabriel asked, he waited for a full three minutes.
All he got as a response was silence. She didn't answer or explain anything.
For some reason, he found himself once again picturing the scene in his mind,: her standing side by side with another man at the school gate, smiling and handing something to him.
Just thinking about it made him extremely upset and unhappy.
Without waiting for Jessica's answer, Gabriel continued to ask, "So you went through all the trouble of cheating lying to me just to meet that man and go on a date with him?"
Jessica had initially thought to ignore him. But Gabriel's question pushed her over the edge. She was furious, and she raised her head, glaring at him with her angry dark eyes. "Gabriel, speak with a conscience. Are you really accusing me based on just a few words?"
"Jessica, I saw it with my own eyes," Gabriel replied.
Jessica became even more angry upon hearing this. Did seeing something with your own eyes make it always true? And to say that she was on a date with Vincent? It infuriated her. If it weren't for Vincent's help on these two occasions, she didn't know what would have happened. She had simply invited her savior for a cup of coffee, yet he made it seem like she was having an affair.
It was heim who had behaved improperly and betrayed their marriage, so why did he have the audacity to blame her? Jessica felt an overwhelming surge of anger building up within her.
"Gabriel, I admit that I was standing at the school gate with a man, but that was just a normal interaction between friends. How could you think it was a date?"
"Oh, so you're accusing me? What about you and Diana? You, a married man, going to the hospital every day to see a woman who is infatuated with you. Have you ever thought about how I feel?"
"And Diana, why did she keep seducing you even when she knew you were married?"
"Gabriel, I am honest and have no regrets. It's you two who sneak around in the dark. Now you're blaming it all on me."
After finishing her words, Jessica got up from Gabriel's bodyembrace. She couldn't stay here any longer; she felt suffocated. How could he be like this? Gabriel, you bastard! You can't take advantage of my feelings for you and bully me recklessly. It was you and Diana who were in the wrong, yet in the end, you both benefited, as if Jessica was the only one at fault. It was simply ludicrous.
Jessica loved him, so she was willing to endure some grievances. She was magnanimous in many things and didn't sweat the small stuff. But she wasn't someone who would passively accept being bullied over and over again by him and Diana.
"What do you think you're doing?" Gabriel abruptly stood up as Jessica started to leave.
"It's none of your business," she replied.
Opening the door, Jessica prepared to leave. However, Gabriel swiftly moved in front of her and closed the door, staring at her. "I happen to have a say in this."
"Step aside, I want to leave. It's my freedom. Why are you stopping me?"
Gabriel sneered, "Your freedom? What do you want to do by leaving? Go find that man? I don't know when you met such a man."
Listening to him repeatedly mention ‘"that man,’" Jessica became increasingly annoyed. Vincent had saved her several times and helped her a lot. Calling him ‘"that man’" was disrespectful and unpleasant.
"Gabriel, he has a name and a surname. Don't keep calling him 'that man.'"
Hearing Jessica defending that man, Gabriel became even angrier, his fury rising. It had been a long time since he had been so angry.
The last time he was so furious was when Xavier forced him to marry her, and he resisted in vain, ultimately accepting it. Even when Diana was sent out of the country and he watched her get farther away, completely leaving his world, he wasn't this angry.
But this time, Gabriel admitted that Jessica had genuinely angered him. They had only known each other for a few days, and yet she was protecting that man so fiercely.
"Gabriel, you bastard, why are you so unreasonable?" Jessica finally burst into tears, her tears streaming down. "Why is it that you can have your ex-lover? With just one phone call, you can drop everything and be there for her, showing concern and care. But me? I can't even have a friend without being questioned and suspected by you."
"Gabriel, why are you so domineering? I've told you, I, Jessica, am not an easy person to deal with. You can have your ex-lover, and be all sweet and affectionate with her. I can also find a lover. Why is it okay for you, but not for me?"
Jessica was also driven mad by anger, so she blurted out without thinking.
Gabriel's eyes turned bloodshot, and he stared at her with his icy gaze. He spoke word by word, "Jessica, say it that again."
