Chapter 465 Secret Deal 2
"That's not right."
After hanging up the phone, Jessica felt increasingly uneasy, thinking about how Gabriel had just spoken alone with Gilbert and Freddy for a few minutes.
"What's not right?" Gabriel sat down beside her.
Jessica put down her fork and looked seriously at Gabriel. "Gabriel, tell me the truth. What did you just say to them?"
"When I answered the phone, they missed me and kept urging me to come home and be with them. But after you talked to them alone for a few minutes, their attitude changed drastically."
"This is too unusual. You must have said something."
Gabriel rubbed his nose.
"Don't pretend. Just tell me the truth."
"I'm innocent, honey. I didn't say anything."
"How is that possible? If you didn't say anything, why would their attitude change so much? Be honest. Did you scold them or threaten them?"
"Honey, I just told them that I work very hard and finally have a vacation, so I wanted to spend some time with you. They understood."
"I don't believe you. You must be hiding something from me."
Gabriel remained silent.
Seeing that he couldn't hide it anymore, Gabriel had to confess. "Alright, I did say something to them, but it's a secret for now. I can't tell you yet."
Jessica was silent.
This only made her more curious.
Seeing that being tough didn't work, Jessica had to change her approach.
She leaned closer to him and spoke softly, "Honey, just tell me!"
Gabriel remained silent.
"Honey," Jessica poked his chest gently and said more tenderly, "Just tell me. You've got my curiosity, and if you don't spill the beans, I'll just keep wondering!"
"Tell me!"
As she spoke, winking at him.
His attractive Adam's apple bobbed up and down, leaving Gabriel feeling a little restless.
He already had little self-control around her, and now she was speaking to him in such a soft, sweet voice, which almost melted his heart.
But the setting was inappropriate.
Gabriel quickly put some food on Jessica's plate and said in a deep voice, "Stop talking and just eat!"
Jessica was silent.
Alright, if even her sweet talk didn't work on Gabriel, then she would give up.
She felt a bit disappointed.
But looking at the delicious food in front of her, Jessica quickly cheered up.
She had to admit, the food was delicious, so she ate slowly, savoring each bite.
Gabriel, on the other hand, ate quickly, almost wolfing down his food.
"Why are you eating so fast?" Jessica looked at him.
"Nothing, I'm just hungry!"
If Jessica had looked up from her food, she would have seen Gabriel's burning gaze, almost like a wolf staring at her.
Seeing him stop eating, Jessica added more food to his plate.
"Aren't you hungry? Eat more."
"No need. There's a late-night snack later. I can't eat too much now."
Jessica, "Eating late-night snacks can make you gain weight, Mr. Walton. Even though you're married, you should still keep in shape, or I'll be disappointed."
Gabriel looked at her deeply. "Say that again?"
How long had they been married?
And was she already disappointed in him?
Gabriel felt deeply hurt.
He grabbed Jessica's chin. "Say that again. Are you disappointed in me getting fat?"
Jessica immediately smiled. "No, I was just joking."
"My husband is so handsome, he doesn't have to worry about that."
As she spoke, Gabriel held her chin and kissed her hard before reluctantly letting go.
"You're not allowed to be disappointed in me!"
"And, honey, I need to teach you something tonight. Not all late-night snacks make you gain weight. Some can even help you lose weight."
Jessica was skeptical, "How is that possible? Unless it's a light meal, but those don't taste good."
"Honey, trust me. I'll prove it to you tonight."
Meanwhile, after hanging up the phone, Freddy and Gilbert happily returned the phone to Danielle.
Seeing them so happy, Danielle thought Jessica was coming home soon.
She casually asked, "When is your mom coming back?"
"Mom might not come back, Grandma. Freddy and I will sleep with you tonight." Gilbert said.
Danielle, "Isn't your mom coming back? What's going on?"
Gilbert immediately walked up and whispered in Danielle's ear, "Grandma, I'll tell you a secret. Dad just said he wants Mom to give us a baby girl!"
Hearing this, Danielle was overjoyed.
She immediately picked up Gilbert and asked excitedly, "Gilbert, did your dad say that?"
"Of course, Dad said it himself. He also said that if we don't bother him and Mom and let Mom spend more time with him, we'll see our sister sooner."
"Grandma, is that true? Did Dad lie to me?" Gilbert realized the question belatedly.
Danielle lovingly pinched his cheek. "Gilbert, your dad didn't lie to you this time."
"That's great! We're going to have a sister soon."
Gilbert and Freddy jumped up and down excitedly.
Jonah came out and saw them so happy, so he asked.
Freddy quickly explained, "Grandpa, Dad said he wants Mom to give us a baby girl!"
Jonah was also very happy, "That's great news."
So, everyone knew, except Jessica, who was still in the dark.
In the restaurant, half an hour later, Jessica put down her fork.
Gabriel immediately asked, "Finished?"
"Yes!"
As soon as she spoke, Gabriel grabbed her wrist and almost impatiently led her out of the restaurant.
The next moment, she was in the passenger seat of his car.
Soon, the black car was speeding through the streets.
"Gabriel, where are we going?"
"You'll find out soon."
Ten minutes later, Jessica looked at the tall building in front of her, surprised, "Why are we at a hotel? We have a place to stay at home!"
Gabriel leaned in, his deep voice incredibly attractive, "We do, but I want to spend some alone time with you."
"Besides, there are too many people at home. Gilbert and Freddy are there. I'm afraid you won't be comfortable."
"Here, you don't have to hold back, feel free to call out whenever you want..."
Jessica immediately covered his mouth, blushing, "Stop talking!"
She didn't dare to hear the rest.
