"Let go of me."
Jessica pushed Gabriel away, her eyes glistening with tears as she looked at him.
"No, Jessica."
"For the rest of my life, I will never let you go again."
With that, Gabriel cupped the back of Jessica's head with one hand and wrapped his other arm around her waist, kissing her.
Jessica tried to push him away, but Gabriel held her tightly like a steel bar, trapping her in his embrace.
His kiss was too forceful, leaving Jessica no space to back down.
If he hadn't been holding her, she might have thought she was about to suffocate.
In the quiet room, their heartbeats were audible.
One beat after another, like the most beautiful rhythm.
Because of their height difference, Jessica had to tilt her head back.
Her neck was getting sore.
"Let go of me, I can barely breathe." Finding a moment, Jessica finally managed to say a complete sentence.
Gabriel chuckled softly and released her.
He was panting, his forehead resting intimately against hers. "Then take a deep breath."
"Why?"
Jessica's eyes were still glistening with tears.
Maybe he had just kissed her, her eyes looked as if they had been fished out of water, moist and lively, making her even more endearing.
Gabriel's breath drew closer, his voice sexy, "Because this time, I won't let you go so easily."
As his lips approached, Jessica quickly pressed her fingers against his lips, pleading.
"No, you're too tall. I'm wearing flat shoes, and my neck is sore."
Gabriel chuckled softly and lifted Jessica.
"Gabriel, what are you doing?"
Suddenly lifted off the ground, Jessica's heart was in her throat.
Gabriel placed her on the table, and the next moment, he leaned over her.
"No, I haven't forgiven you yet!"
But Gabriel didn't give her a chance to refuse.
This time, he was exceptionally gentle.
Like an artist, his lips were the brush, tracing Jessica's lip line bit by bit.
When her body softened and she stopped resisting, relaxing her guard, he slowly kissed deeper.
"Gabriel, I..."
In the end, Jessica could only cling to his clothes, holding onto his arm, her whole body melting into his embrace.
When he finally let go, her lips were very red.

"It's all your fault." Jessica glared at Gabriel in front of her.

Gabriel gently cupped her cheeks, placing a tender kiss on her forehead.
Gabriel spoke, "Jessica, I know you're angry, and I understand your resentment, but please don't ignore me, okay? Your silence is like torture to me, every second feels like an eternity."
"I admit, when I hadn't regained my memory, I considered marrying Celia to make up for what I thought I owed her. But you know what? The moment you appeared at the wedding in your dress, I regretted it."
"I knew I couldn't marry Celia. I had decided to give up everything to pursue you, but Celia suddenly tried to suicide, which delayed things. Later, I heard you were in a car accident, and I was devastated."
"Fortunately, the shock of the accident brought back my memory."
As Jessica listened, the knots in her heart began to unravel.

"After regaining my memory, I immediately went to see Celia and her mother. From them, I learned about what happened while I was amnesiac."

Gabriel turned around, showing his back to Jessica.

"Gabriel," Jessica panicked, unable to stay calm. "What happened? Are you hiding something from me?"
Seeing her cry, his heart ached.
He immediately turned around, gently wiping the tears from her face.
"I wish I shouldn't have told you, to avoid making you cry so much."
"How dare you?" Jessica glared at him with red eyes.
She pulled him to sit on the couch.
"Take off your shirt, let me see what's wrong with your back. Why are you bleeding?"
Gabriel chuckled deeply, teasing, "Jessica, you're so eager to take my clothes off already."
Jessica glared at him. "Is this the time for jokes?"
Then she ordered, "Take off your shirt."
When he took off his shirt and she saw the wound on his back, Jessica couldn't help but gasp.
"When did you get hurt? How long have you been injured?"
"Gabriel, why didn't you tell me?"
