Chapter 793 Forgetting Part 2

At dusk, Mark took Grace to the beach.

The clouds on the horizon were mesmerizingly beautiful.

The sea breeze blew gently, everything was so beautiful, gentle, and pleasant.

The two walked barefoot on the soft sand, leaving a trail of footprints that gradually disappeared with the waves.

The sunset's glow cast a beautiful and hazy light on them.

Someone raised their phone and casually took a picture.

That beautiful moment was instantly captured.

"Do you want to go diving?" Seeing Grace's gaze fixed on the water, Mark asked.

"I've heard the underwater world is beautiful. I've always wanted to see it, but never had the chance. This is a good opportunity."

Hearing this, Mark immediately grabbed her hand, "Let's go, I'll go with you."

"It's a bit late, I don't think there are any diving activities now."

Mark patted his chest confidently and said, "Grace, the best instructor is right beside you. Do you need anyone else?"

"You can dive?" Grace looked at him with some surprise.

"Of course, and I can definitely be called a professional instructor."

"Then, Mr. Stoll, do I need to pay tuition?" Grace joked.

Mark thought for a moment and replied, "Of course you do. How about you accompany me for a late-night snack tonight?"

"Deal!"

The two agreed immediately.

Mark's equipment was really complete.

All the diving tools were prepared.

"How did you bring all this?" Grace asked.

"Because I love diving. Sometimes when I'm stressed or troubled, I dive underwater and look at the beautiful scenery, it seems to make me forget all the worries of real life."

When they got into the water, he was very patient, explaining everything over and over again.

But since it was her first time diving, Grace was very nervous.

She lightly grabbed the corner of her clothes, her face blushing under the sunset, looking particularly beautiful..

Mark looked at her, his heart suddenly moved, "Grace, this is your first dive, do you want to commemorate it? I'll take a picture of you."

"Sure!"

It was indeed meaningful, so Grace readily agreed.

"Make a gesture, and I'll take a picture with the sunset behind you."

"Okay."

With a few clicks, the photos were all captured on Mark's phone.

Just as he was about to put away his phone, Grace said, "Do you want a picture? I'll take one for you."

"I'll pass, I've been diving so many times."

"Then let's take one together, as a kind of witness. When I learn it in the future, you'll be the hero."

Mark immediately nodded excitedly. he had this intention for a long time, but was afraid she wouldn't agree, so he didn't mention it.

Grace held up the phone, and they took a few selfies together.

Seeing that the photos turned out well, she quickly put away the phone.

"Grace, I expected you wouldn't agree to take a picture with me." After taking the photos, Mark casually said.

"Why?"

"Aren't you afraid Quentin will see it and get jealous?"

After asking, Mark regretted it, "Sorry, Grace, I didn't mean to."

"It's okay, the world doesn't belong to Quentin. Who says we can't mention him? Besides, we've broken up, what I do has nothing to do with him."

"It's just a photo, do I not even have that freedom?"

"Let's not talk about him, let's get in the water!"

Mark checked her equipment again, and only then did he feel more at ease.

"Grace, are you ready?"

Taking a deep breath, Grace nodded, "Yes, I'm ready, let's start!"

Knowing she was nervous, Mark firmly held her hand, "Grace, no matter what happens, I'll protect you, don't be afraid!"

Grace always thought she was fine, could stay calm, and could pretend not to think about Quentin.

But suddenly, this ordinary sentence made her heart ache uncontrollably.

Once upon a time, Quentin had also said these words to her, every word full of deep emotion.

But Quentin let go of her and turned to marry Caroline.

The words ended up being a huge joke.

Just getting into the water, Grace was very nervous, but fortunately, Mark was experienced and guided her patiently.

About ten minutes later, she slowly adapted and wasn't as nervous.

She began to relax and slowly appreciate the underwater scenery.

The underwater world was really beautiful; the scenes she saw with her own eyes were vastly different from what she had seen in pictures.

Soon, she was immersed in this beauty.

In the end, it was Mark who was worried she had been underwater too long, and since it was her first time, insisted on bringing her up.

After coming up, Grace smiled at Mark, "It was a great experience, really worth it. Thank you, Mark, for giving me a different experience."

In the evening, the two changed into casual clothes and went for a late-night snack.

In the bustling seaside night market, they sat at a roadside table with a few small stools and happily ate.

The surrounding noise was lively, and they completely blended into the excitement.

Of course, the luckiest thing was that no one noticed them.

Grace felt like drinking.

Mark knew she had a low tolerance for alcohol, so he didn't allow her to drink.

"Didn't you say this is a vacation, to let go of all burdens and have fun?"

"I'll just drink a little, it's a pity not to pair such fresh seafood with some beer. Beer has a low alcohol content, I'll just drink a little, I won't get drunk."

In the end, under Grace's pleading, Mark agreed.

"Alright, two bottles, no more than that."

Grace immediately smiled, "Okay, thank you, Mark."

However, Mark overestimated Grace's alcohol tolerance.

Just two bottles, although she didn't reach the point of losing consciousness like before, she was drunk.

When they were heading back, he wanted to carry her.

But Grace refused, no matter what.

So in the end, he could only support her, following her pace, slowly walking back.

On the way, maybe because she was drunk, she kept talking.

"You men are all the same, always looking at other women even when you have someone by your side, wanting to have it all, how is that possible? There's no such good thing in the world!"

"Quentin, I hate you, I despise you, you bastard, you deceived my feelings."

As she cursed, she couldn't help but shed tears.

Suddenly, in the empty street, her phone rang.

"My phone is ringing!" Grace fumbled for her phone in a daze.

After fumbling for a while and not finding it, Mark had to help her take it out.

When he saw the name on the phone, he was suddenly stunned.

"Quentin's calling, do you want to answer?"
