Chapter 565 Settling Accounts with Celia 2

"No." Gabriel placed his finger on his lips, giving her a determined answer.

"You are wrong. Today, I am incredibly clear-headed and normal. It was the old me that was abnormal."

At that moment, he extended his hand, his long fingers sweeping past Theron and Alisha, finally landing on Celia.

"Today is the day to put an end to everything."

The more Celia listened, the more panicked she became.

Maybe it was her intuition, Celia felt an unsettling sense that something dreadful was looming.

"Francis, don't scare me. What's wrong with you? Did something happen to me that you witnessed, and it frightened you?"

Even at this moment, Celia was still putting on a frantic act.

Gabriel let out a sneer, raised his right hand, and threw everything he was holding onto Celia's face.

"Stop acting!"

"Celia, you have deceived me so deeply!"

"Do you think you can fool me for a lifetime, or that I will never remember my true identity?"

Gabriel's words were like a deep charge, exploding in Celia's heart with immense power.

"Francis,"

Celia sat dumbfounded on the hospital bed for a while before raising her head and speaking in a stiff manner, "You remember everything, don't you?"

"What do you think?" Gabriel stared coldly at Celia.

As if suddenly losing her composure, Celia reached out and frantically covered her lips.

Then, biting her fingers, she couldn't hold back any longer and broke down crying.

Gabriel did not interrupt Celia; he just watched her cry quietly and indifferently.

Celia's tears no longer had any effect or influence on him.

He could ignore it as if watching a stranger cry.

Gabriel felt no guilt, nor any pity.

Celia cried for a long time, and perhaps realizing it was useless, she finally stopped.

She reached out and wiped her tears haphazardly.

Then, stubbornly raising her head, she asked, "Can you tell me when you recovered?"

"Two days ago."

Celia's body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Her voice was choked with sobs, "Why? Since you recovered two days ago, why have you been so nice to me these past two days?"

Gabriel stared at her coldly, his voice devoid of any emotion.

"The higher you stand, the harder you fall. Only after experiencing the beauty of heaven can you understand the cruelty of hell."

"Celia, do you know? Right now, I wish I could strangle you with my hands."

"It was you who lied to me, deceiving me with one lie after another. It was you who forged my identity, making me your so-called fiancé. It was you who repeatedly acted, using my guilt and self-reproach to marry you."

"Celia, you are so cruel! Do you know that because of your lies, you shattered the lives of Jessica and me, leaving them in ruins? I forgot Jessica, hurt Jessica, and let Jessica down."

"So, Celia, I now have the urge to kill you."

Gabriel stepped forward.

Finally, he stopped, looking down at Celia from above.

Suddenly, Celia felt a choking sensation around her neck. When she realized it, Gabriel had already gripped her neck tightly.

Gabriel's expression was serious, devoid of any warmth.

His eyes were filled with hatred.

Celia tilted her head back, struggling to breathe.

She wanted to beg for mercy, but no sound came out.

Although Celia couldn't speak, she knew he truly had the intent to kill her.

After all, Gabriel's eyes were so indifferent, filled only with loathing and overwhelming hatred.

At that moment, Celia knew he truly despised her.

But Celia had no regrets.

She loved him so much that she wouldn't complain, even if it meant dying at his hands.

Everything, even the outcome, Celia accepted willingly.

The air grew thinner, Celia's face paler, and breathing became a struggle.

But Gabriel's gaze remained calm, without a trace of fluctuation.

Alisha could no longer bear it. She rushed over, frantically prying Gabriel's hand.

"Let go, Francis, let go now."

"Celia can't breathe. Are you going to kill her?"

"Francis, let go, I beg you!"

But Gabriel ignored Alisha's words.

He continued to grip Celia's neck as if he hadn't heard anything.

"Francis, let go now!"

Suddenly, with a shout, blood spurted from Gabriel's back.

Gabriel's entire back stiffened, the stabbing pain making him slowly release his grip.

He moved slightly, and the blood flowed faster, dripping continuously.

The floor was covered in blood.

Through a nearby mirror, Gabriel could see the knife embedded in his back.

The bright gleam of the blade was particularly glaring in the sunlight.

Only the black handle was visible.

The sharp, stabbing blade was deeply embedded in his back.

If he guessed correctly, the knife was very close to his heart.

If it had been a bit off, his life would have ended.

Gabriel said nothing, his lips tightly pressed, standing solemnly in place.

Alisha rushed over and hugged Celia, anxiously asking, "Celia, are you okay?"

"Mom, I'm fine, but you..."

Celia's gaze fell on Gabriel.

By now, his blood had soaked his entire back, the bright red stark and glaring.

Seeing this, Alisha grasped the gravity of the situation.

She trembled uncontrollably, walking over shakily, pleading.

"Francis, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

"I was just worried about Celia. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Celia also began to plead.

"Francis, I beg you, everything was my idea. I deceived you, I forged your identity, it was all my doing. My mom was just forced to follow my lead."

"My mom didn't mean it. She was just too anxious, too nervous. Please, be magnanimous and forgive her. Don't hold her accountable, okay?"

Alisha spoke in a panic, "Yes, Francis, I didn't mean it. How are you? I'll call a doctor right away."

However, before Alisha could leave the room, Gabriel's voice rang out, "No need."

Gabriel held a phone in one hand, dialing a number.

"Yes, in room 806 at the hospital."

"Okay, I'll wait for you here."

Then, he hung up the phone, his cold eyes sweeping over Alisha and Celia, sending a chill down their spines, "I've already called the police."
