Chapter 531 Despicable Plot

Jessica felt completely disoriented as she walked back.

Suddenly, she stumbled, and if she hadn't forced herself to stay upright, she might have fallen.

Her mind was completely blank.

When she sat down on the chair, she didn't even know how she had gotten there.

Celia was pregnant with Gabriel's baby.

At that moment, the only thing that kept replaying in her mind was this one piece of information.

It had only been a few months, and Celia was already pregnant.

If Jessica had found Gabriel a little later, would Gabriel already have a family with Celia?

This was truly laughable and ironic.

If Celia was pregnant and had a baby.

Then what about Jessica and the baby in her belly?

When Louie came in, tears were already dripping from the corners of Jessica's eyes to her lips.

Perhaps Jessica was so immersed in her sadness that she didn't even feel it.

It wasn't until Louie handed her a towel dampened with warm water, saying, "Mrs. Walton, wipe your face," that Jessica realized she had been crying so much.

Jessica hurriedly wiped her tears and quickly went upstairs.

Celia had returned with injuries all over her body—her face, and hands were covered in wounds.

When Alisha saw Celia, she was shocked. "What happened, Celia? Where did you go?"

"Mom," Celia cried, throwing herself into Alisha's arms. "I went to find Jessica, but she was so arrogant. She not only hit me but also threw me out."

"Mom, I'm so ashamed."

Celia cried as if the world was ending as if she was on the brink of despair.

"You went to find Jessica? Celia, stop crying and tell me."

"Mom, it's that Jessica who seduced Francis. Francis has been coming home late these days because he's been seeing Jessica, his ex-wife."

"Ex-wife? Who knows if that's even true? I think Jessica is just a girlfriend at best. She and Francis never got married."

After saying this, Celia cried even harder.

Alisha quickly found a box of medicine in the drawer.

Then, Alisha applied the medicine to the wounds on Celia's face.

At first, Celia felt okay, but soon, her face started to burn.

"Mom, what kind of medicine did you give me? Is it expired? It hurts so much!"

Alisha continued to apply it to her face. "Pain is good; it means it's working."

So Celia gritted her teeth and endured it.

However, after a few minutes, Celia couldn't stand it anymore.

The wounds on her face were burning and stinging. She wanted to scratch them but was afraid of leaving scars, so she didn't dare to touch them.

At this moment, Alisha smugly said, "Celia, this isn't medicine to treat your wounds. On the contrary, it will make the wounds on your face worse."

"Mom, what are you saying?"

Celia panicked upon hearing this.

She immediately reached out to wipe the medicine off her face.

But Alisha grabbed her hand and persuaded her, "Celia, wait. I have a reason for doing this."

"This injury is a great opportunity, but the wounds on your face aren't severe enough to get Francis's attention and anger. Endure it. Once the wounds on your face are severe enough, he will confront Jessica."

"At that point, we won't have to do anything. Jessica will be utterly defeated."

After hearing Alisha's words, Celia immediately gave her a thumbs up, praising her brilliance.

"Mom, you're so thoughtful. You're amazing."

"So endure it. I'll call Francis home for lunch today. Once he sees the wounds on your face, and you exaggerate what happened this morning, I bet he will go find Jessica."

"Okay, Mom, I'll listen to you. Even though it hurts, I'll endure it."

At noon, Francis came home for lunch.

The moment he saw Celia, he noticed the wounds on her face.

"What happened to your face?" he asked anxiously.

"It's nothing, I just accidentally bumped into something," Celia said.

Since Celia said this, Francis didn't think much of it.

After lunch, he was about to go to work but overheard Celia and Alisha talking before he left.

"Celia, why didn't you tell Francis the truth? It breaks my heart to see you like this."

The truth?

Did Celia lie to him?

Francis immediately became alert and listened carefully.

"Mom, it's okay. I've already applied medicine. I believe after a night's sleep, it will be better by tomorrow morning."

"But your face is so swollen. How can it get better in one night? It's all Jessica's fault. Those two slaps landed right on your face."

"You've been bullied like this, why are you hiding it? I shouldn't have helped you hide it from Francis. I should have told him the truth."

"Mom, I can tell that Francis has some feelings for her. I don't want to make things difficult for him. I'm fine. Please don't tell Francis."

As soon as she finished speaking, Francis pushed the door and walked in.

Seeing him, Celia immediately fell silent, showing just the right amount of panic.

"Francis, why are you here? I thought you had already gone to work."

Francis just looked at her coldly. "Is what you just said true?"

"No, it's not."

"Francis, don't listen to Mom. My face is just from a bump..."

Before Celia could finish, Francis had already turned and left.

Watching his departing figure, Celia smiled triumphantly at Alisha. "Mom, your plan is brilliant."

"Men like to be deceived by these tactics. If you run to him crying and complaining, he might not believe you and think you're being petty."

"Mom, I've learned a lot."

When Louie heard the knock on the door and saw Francis, he felt conflicted.

Jessica was heartbroken because of Francis, and Louie didn't know whether to let Francis in or not.

However, while Louie was thinking, Francis had already pushed past him and walked in.

Louie belatedly caught up. "If you want to see Mrs. Walton, I'll go inform her. You wait here."

"No need, I'll go myself."

As soon as he finished speaking, Francis saw Jessica sitting in the back room.

Francis quickly walked over.

Hearing the commotion, Jessica slowly turned around, her eyes calm and indifferent as she looked at him. Her voice was particularly cold.

"You're here to seek justice for Celia, right?"

Francis clenched his fists.

Jessica continued, "I won't stop you. If you think I bullied her, I won't fight back. You can hit me twice as hard, how about that?"

"But if you misunderstood me, and she was the one who went too far, how about you stay and keep me company for three days and nights?"
