Chapter 518 Celia Asks Jessica to Leave
"I'll get it," Oscar said.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw a delicate face. It was Celia.
"I'm looking for the pregnant woman who came with you guys. I think her name is Jessica," Celia said.
Oscar wanted to refuse. After all, it was already quite late, and Jessica wasn't feeling well. He didn't want Celia to disturb her.
But Jessica's voice came from inside, "Oscar, who is it?"
Jessica asked with a hint of anticipation.
Jessica hoped that the person outside was Gabriel.
At that moment, Celia followed the voice inside and stood in front of Jessica. "It's me."
"How did you find this place?" Jessica asked, surprised.
One had to admit, that Celia was quite capable. They had just arrived not long ago, and she had already found where they were staying.
"It's nothing. Our island is not easy to get in and out of, and there are no hotels. You wouldn't go out, so you must have rented a local B&B."
"I know almost everyone on the island. It's the off-season, and there aren't many visitors. As long as I describe your features, I can quickly find out whose B&B you rented."
"I grew up on this island, and I'm familiar with every place here. Finding you was easy for me."
After speaking, Celia's gaze fell on the food on the table.
"Haven't you eaten yet? You go ahead and eat; I can wait until you're done."
"No need. You came alone so late; you must have something important to say. And if I'm not mistaken, you came here alone to avoid Francis," Jessica said.
Celia smirked, "You're smart."
Jessica turned to look at Tina, Vincent, and Oscar. "You guys go ahead and eat. I'll talk to her outside."
"Jessica," Vincent called her name, looking worried.
"Don't worry. I'm not the fragile Jessica I was during the day. I can handle this, and I'll protect myself."
"Alright, call us if you need anything."
Celia also said, "Don't worry, I won't do anything to her."
Under the moonlight, the courtyard felt like it was wrapped in a soft, clear glow.
The radiant light illuminated the faces of the two stunning women, highlighting their beauty.
Jessica wasn't in a hurry. Celia's willingness to come to her showed that she was starting to feel anxious.
At that moment, Jessica held the upper hand, and she needed to take full advantage of it.
"Let me introduce myself first. You probably don't know me. My name is Celia Bell. I grew up by the sea, and my family has lived here for generations."
After speaking, Celia extended her slender fingers to Jessica, and it was hard not to notice how long and delicate they were.
More importantly, Celia's face was exceptionally charming. Not just her facial features, but her entire demeanor was impeccable.
Although Celia grew up by the sea, she wasn't tanned by the sun.
With Celia around, which man wouldn't be moved?
Jessica understood that Celia would be a formidable opponent.
But Jessica wouldn't back down, nor would she allow herself to be afraid.
Jessica didn't reach out to shake Celia's hand. She simply said, "My name is Jessica Morgan, Gabriel Walton's wife, and the mother of his children, Freddy and Gilbert."
Jessica formally declared her identity and assertion.
Sure enough, upon hearing Jessica's introduction, Celia's face quickly turned pale.
Although it was night, Jessica could see Celia's expression change, becoming awkward and stiff.
"As for shaking hands, I don't think it's necessary between us."
Celia reluctantly withdrew her hand and looked at Jessica. "Ms. Morgan, I want to apologize first. I hope you don't mind what happened during the day. I was just too scared."
"Also, I completely understand and sympathize with you. Your husband is missing, and when you see someone who looks like him, it's natural to mistake him for your husband. I can understand that..."
"Ms. Bell," Jessica couldn't hold back any longer and interrupted her, "I think your wording is wrong, or you didn't hear what I said during the day."
"Listen carefully, I'll repeat it for you. First: Francis doesn't just look like my husband; he is the same, with no differences. Second: I am certain that he is my husband. I did not mistake him."
"Ms. Bell, if you're following me, please don't misinterpret what I said."
"Is there any point in being so stubborn?"
Facing the woman who took her husband, no matter how beautiful or pitiful Celia looked, Jessica couldn't feel any sympathy.
Jessica struggled to keep from hating Celia or slapping her, which was already a testament to her grace and upbringing.
Expecting Jessica to speak kindly to Celia was simply out of the question.
To Jessica's surprise, even after she made things so clear, Celia could still maintain her composure.
"Ms. Morgan, statistics show that there are many people in the world who look alike but are not related. I can assure you that Francis grew up on this island. We were childhood friends and played together since we were kids. He has never left this island, so how could he be your husband and have children with you?"
"I know it's hard for you to accept, but I have to say, you have mistaken him. His name is Francis Gutierrez, and he is my fiancé."
Having observed Celia's remarkable abilities, Jessica remained calm.
With a smirk, Jessica responded, "Really? If that's the case, why are you so flustered and in such a hurry?"
"Celia, stop pretending. The reason you came to find me so late is that you believe what I said and are beginning to feel frightened, am I correct?"
Jessica's question was so powerful that Celia was almost stunned on the spot.
After a while, Celia straightened up. "I've said what I needed to say. Believe it or not, it's up to you."
"I came to see you today not because I'm afraid of you or believe your absurd words, but to tell you that Francis and I are engaged and about to get married. I hope you won't become a homewrecker and interfere in our relationship."
"Ms. Morgan, you grew up in a big city, so you should know how despicable homewreckers are. I hope you can maintain your integrity."
