Chapter 174 Jessica's whole body was frighteningly hot.

Frank finished talking, and Gabriel's dark eyes locked onto him.

He didn't say a word, just stared.

But Gabriel's mind was racing: An argument?

It would be fine if it was just an argument. However, it was not an argument, but a divorce.

"Shallow," After a long silence, Gabriel finally spoke, "You think she can be bought with a necklace or bracelet. You think she's like those gold-digging women you date."

Frank touched his nose and decided to stay quiet.

Well, the women he had pursued before were indeed easy. He didn't even have to give them anything. A few dinners and some sweet talk would do the trick.

For the easier ones, a few handbags would suffice; for the harder ones, a sports car; and for the toughest, a house would do.

So, it wasn't Frank's fault. After all, in his mind, women could be bought with money.

"Gabriel, I think you're making this too complicated. After putting on this huge show, gathering all these people, and getting me to go along with you, all for a kiss, and Jessica still said no.

"In my opinion, you should just play the domineering CEO role, grab her, carry her home, and lock the door. Everything will be resolved in one night."

"You don't understand," Gabriel said.

If they weren't divorced, he might have done that.

But now they were no longer married. If he forced her, what would Jessica think of him?

In her mind, wouldn't he be no different from a beast?

"Alright, but I think Jessica drank a bit too much. That liquor is strong; you'd better go take her back quickly," Frank said.

"Okay."

Gabriel pushed the door open and chased after her.

Jessica had just left Gabriel's private room and went straight back to the room where her colleagues were having dinner.

But when she entered, there was no one left in the room.

"Tina," Jessica called as she walked in.

But no one responded.

After a while, a waiter came in and said the bill had been settled, and they needed to clean the room, so she had to leave.

With nowhere to go, she squatted outside the room and called Tina.

When she took out her phone, she realized Tina had called her several times.

The calls were all made while she was in Gabriel's room. It was probably too noisy, and she hadn't heard any of them.

When Jessica called back, no one answered.

She called a few more times, but still, no one picked up.

If she guessed correctly, Tina probably thought she had gone home, so she left alone.

"Forget it, I'll just go home by myself!" Jessica muttered, put away her phone, and started walking out.

She felt terrible, her whole body burning like fire. She kept tugging at her clothes as she walked.

Even so, she still felt hot all over.

Earlier, when she was drinking with her colleagues, they mostly drank beer since there were almost all girls. Although she got a bit drunk, the wind sobered her up quickly.

But this drink was different; it was high-proof liquor.

When she drank it, it felt very spicy and unpleasant.

Now she felt increasingly dizzy, her whole body burning, and her consciousness gradually fading.

Her stomach felt even worse, burning and hot.

She forced herself to head towards the hotel entrance, with only one thought in mind: go home.

The place was packed with all sorts of people; she had to get home fast.

Otherwise, it could get dangerous.

But she felt awful.

Jessica was holding on with sheer willpower. Halfway there, she was so dizzy she could barely stand.

Finally, she had to lean against a pillar in the hotel lobby.

At that moment, Jack and his assistant Ryan Garcia were walking through the lobby, ready to leave.

Ryan immediately noticed Jessica and shouted, "Ms. Morgan seems to have drunk too much. She's the one Mrs. Smith asked to check on. Should we give her a ride?"

Jack was there because Patricia had asked Ryan to supervise him and make sure he came.

"When did you become so kind-hearted? If you want to help, go ahead, but don't drag me into it." Jack said coolly.

He walked away without even glancing at Jessica.

Ryan remained silent.

After resting for a bit, Jessica started walking again.

She was so dizzy that she stumbled as she walked.

Suddenly, she blocked Jack's path. Jack didn't expect her to suddenly appear in front of him, and his tall figure bumped into her.

"Sorry."

Jessica apologized instinctively and continued walking.

When she reached the entrance, she should have stopped, but her feet didn't obey her brain and she walked straight onto the road in front of the hotel.

Suddenly, a car approached, and Ryan shouted in alarm, "Watch out!"

Jessica, however, was too dizzy to notice. At the critical moment, Jack grabbed her hand and pulled her to his side.

Ryan finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"You're literally asking for trouble by not watching where you're going," Jack scolded her. As a doctor, he couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

After pulling Jessica back, he couldn't help but scold her.

Seeing how drunk she was, almost unconscious, he looked at her with disdain, especially when he smelled the alcohol on her. His eyes showed even more contempt.

Ryan watched his expression carefully, wondering if he should say something.

Just then, Jack spoke. He pointed at Jessica and instructed Ryan, "Get her into the car."

Ryan was a bit taken aback.

Jack gave him a cold look, "Do you expect me to personally help a drunk person into the car?"

Finally understanding, Ryan quickly said, "Mr. Smith, got it. Don't worry, I'll get her into the car right away."

Although Jessica was drunk, she was light, so Ryan easily guided her into the car.

Ryan then looked at Jack, "Mr. Smith, after you."

Jack stood outside for a moment, then reached towards the front car door, seemingly taking something from the driver.

Ryan was puzzled. The next moment, he saw Jack spraying alcohol on Jessica to disinfect her.

Ryan thought: Mr. Smith, isn't this a bit much?

If this lady wakes up and finds out, she'll be super embarrassed.

After spraying the alcohol, Jack tossed the bottle to Ryan.

Ryan caught it and was about to get into the car.

Suddenly, the door closed, and Jack's cold voice came, "It's a bit cramped. You can take a cab."

"Mr. Smith, that's too heartless!" Ryan was left standing there, bewildered.

At that moment, Gabriel came running through the lobby.

Seeing the car drive away, especially recognizing the license plate, his gaze turned icy cold immediately, as if it could freeze everyone around him.
