Chapter 422 You're Making a Scene, I'm Laughing 1

The next moment, she was pulled into his arms.

"You're awake?" Jessica asked with a hint of confusion.

She had deliberately checked when she got up earlier, and Gabriel was sound asleep.

"Good thing I woke up, or I'd be left here all alone," Gabriel's voice was as pitiful as could be when he said this.

His eyebrows were slightly furrowed, looking like he had been wronged.

Jessica's heart immediately softened. "I wasn't going to abandon you. I just spent the whole night with you and didn't go back to be with Gilbert and Freddy."

"They sleep deeply at night, so they might not notice. But if they wake up in the morning and don't see me, they'll be scared and start looking for me."

For the past five years, she had slept with Gilbert and Freddy every night and whenever they woke up in the morning, she would keep them company.

Especially Freddy, who, since he could talk, would always look for Jessica first thing in the morning.

When Freddy couldn't move, he would look at her with his clear, doe-like eyes.

When Freddy could crawl, he would crawl desperately to her side and snuggle up to her.

When Freddy could talk, he would always kiss her and then greet her with a smile. "Mommy, good morning!"

Gilbert wasn't as close to her, but he would still lie down next to her with his pillow.

So, when Jessica woke up, she was always in the middle of Gilbert and Freddy, holding one in each arm.

Of course, Jessica genuinely enjoyed this kind of treatment.

Seeing that Gabriel still had no intention of letting her go and the sky was getting brighter, Jessica started to get anxious.

However, she knew she needed to persuade Gabriel gently.

She immediately had an idea.

She leaned in, reached out, and affectionately rubbed Gabriel's cheek, speaking softly, "I was yours all night, always with you. I just need to spend this little bit of time with Gilbert and Freddy when they wake up. So, let me go. What if they wake up and start crying?"

Gabriel was confident. "It's okay, I'll comfort them."

"That won't work. If they know I didn't stay with them and only stayed with you, they'll be jealous."

Gabriel, however, was righteous. "That's only natural. You're my wife, so of course, you should be with me. If they need company, they can find their wives when they grow up. They shouldn't take over mine."

Jessica was instantly amused by his logic.

But in her heart, she felt warmth. "Who said I'm your wife? We don't have any official status yet!"

"I don't care. Jessica is my wife. When we get back, we'll have a wedding. This time, I won't allow any accidents."

"Kiss me, and I'll let you go." Knowing Jessica was really in a hurry, Gabriel started to set conditions.

Jessica cooperated and immediately leaned down to give him a solemn kiss.

"Say something nice."

Jessica poked his nose, pouting in dissatisfaction, looking particularly cute. "Gabriel, don't push your luck."

"Well, are you going to say it or not? If you don't, don't blame me for not letting Gilbert and Freddy take over my wife to sleep."

Jessica was defeated by him and laughed. "Alright, alright, my Gabriel is the most generous, the most handsome, and the most charming."

"That doesn't count. Say it again."

Because he hadn't heard what he most wanted to hear.

Knowing what he wanted to hear, Jessica didn't hold back. She looked into his eyes and responded very seriously, "Thank you, Gabriel. Thank you for waiting for me, loving me, and never giving up on me for such a long five years."

"Meeting you is the greatest luck of my life."

"No matter what happens in the future, even death can't separate us."

"I love you, very, very much."

Hearing what he wanted, Gabriel's eyes welled up.

His Jessica could easily move him. He was never a sentimental person, but these words warmed his heart to the extreme.

A warm current surged in his chest.

Holding her face, Gabriel gave her a deep kiss and seriously replied, "I love you too!"

Leaving the guest room, Jessica headed to the master bedroom.

Fortunately, when she entered, it was still quiet inside, and Gilbert and Freddy were sleeping soundly.

They must have been exhausted from playing yesterday, as they were sleeping deeply.

Jessica moved quietly, gently lifting a corner of the blanket and slipping in.

As soon as she lay down, Gilbert slightly opened his eyes and called out, "Mommy, where did you go? I woke up and didn't see you."

Jessica's heart skipped a beat, thinking about how to respond.

But Gilbert had already closed his eyes, rolled over, and snuggled into Jessica's arms, holding her arm and continuing to sleep contentedly.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Jessica covered Gilbert and Freddy with the blanket and closed her eyes to sleep with them.

She didn't remember how long she slept.

She only remembered the breeze lifting the curtains, and the sunlight streaming in, the golden rays were extremely bright.

It was a beautiful sunny day.

But Gilbert and Freddy were still sound asleep.

They must have been really tired from playing yesterday, so they were having a rare lie-in.

Because the bedroom door wasn't fully closed, leaving a slight gap, Jessica could already smell a faint aroma.

Could Gabriel be making breakfast for them?

Following the scent, Jessica moved quietly out.

When she saw the familiar figure busy in the kitchen, she didn't hesitate and walked straight over.

Just like Gabriel did yesterday, she wrapped her arms around his lean, strong waist from behind and rested her head gently on his broad back.

"Mr. Walton, you learned to cook over the years. So thoughtful, getting up early to make us breakfast."

Gabriel stopped what he was doing and immediately turned around.

One of his hands instantly lifted Jessica's chin, his voice becoming low, "Mr. Walton?"

His slightly drawn-out tone was incredibly sexy.

"Wrong name, try again," Gabriel commanded domineeringly.

Jessica laughed heartily.

Although she was a head shorter than him, she stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his neck, and made herself reach his height, then deliberately bit his chin.

At the same time, she mischievously smiled. "I didn't get it wrong. Mr. Walton is a term of endearment for me. You're the one without romance, not hearing my full affection. It's late, I can't let Gilbert and Freddy sleep in any longer. I need to wake them up."

At this moment, Gabriel looked at Gilbert and Freddy, who had already walked out of the bedroom and deliberately curled his lips, his smile deepening. "Jessica, are you sure you want to wake them up now?"
