Chapter 509 Spoiling Gilbert and Freddy
Jessica was about to say, "The baby is very small. While there will be responses, they won't happen often."
Just as Jessica opened her mouth, she suddenly felt a light kick on her belly.
Although it was very slight, Gilbert and Freddy both noticed it right away because they were focused.
In that instant, Gilbert and Freddy excitedly shouted, "Mommy, did the baby just move?"
"She heard us talking, didn't she? She's responding to us, right?"
Jessica also placed her hand on her belly and nodded with a smile, "Yes, the baby just answered you."
After saying that, Jessica felt a bit jealous.
These days, when she was bored and lonely, Jessica would touch her belly and call out to the baby inside.
But the baby never responded, always kicking several times just when she was about to fall asleep at night, and not much at other times.
But today, upon hearing Gilbert and Freddy's voices, the baby responded so quickly.
"It seems the baby likes you two," Jessica said.
Gilbert and Freddy were both happy and a bit shy.
But soon, they both declared, "Of course, we will protect our little sister in the future."
Seeing their determined and confident expressions, Jessica felt a deep sense of joy and happiness.
Their family of five now had four members together.
'So Gabriel, where are you?'
'Do you know?'
'I'm still waiting, so don't give up either.'
'You must wait until the moment I find you, okay?' Jessica thought.
Lowering her head, Jessica gently wiped a tear from the corner of her eye, then led Freddy and Gilbert to their seats.
The lunch became very joyful and filled with laughter because of Freddy and Gilbert's presence.
Through the meal, Gilbert suddenly turned his gaze to Tina and Vincent.
Then Gilbert leaned over to Jessica's ear and whispered, "Mommy, don't you think Mr. Lucas and Ms. Ingram make a perfect match?"
With Gilbert's words, Jessica began to observe more seriously.
Jessica had thought the same before, and now she felt it was even more fitting.
Especially with a woman's intuition, which never lies.
Although Tina hid it well, as a woman, she could sense that Tina had some feelings for Vincent.
However, when she had previously suggested introducing Vincent to Tina, she was rejected.
Now it seemed that she couldn't rush it and had to wait for a more suitable time.
Jessica never expected Gilbert to be so perceptive.
"Mr. Lucas, can I introduce you to a girlfriend?"
Vincent looked over with a gentle smile, "Gilbert, since when are you so concerned about my marriage?"
Gilbert nodded seriously and earnestly, "Of course, Mommy is about to have another baby. If you could have a baby too, that would be even better."
Vincent affectionately placed a piece of roast meat on his plate, "You have such a small head, but you think about so many things."
"Mr. Lucas, just tell me if you want me to introduce someone," Gilbert pressed on.
At this point, Vincent realized that Gilbert was serious.
Vincent had thought Gilbert was just talking, so he didn't take it to heart.
"Mr. Lucas," Gilbert called out again, this time with a hint of pleading.
On the other side, under the table.
Tina gently clenched her hands, her heart starting to race.
Would Vincent accept?
What if he accepted the girlfriend Gilbert introduced?
Feeling a bit flustered, Tina lost her appetite despite the delicious food on the table.
Suddenly, Gilbert stood up and seriously introduced, "Mr. Lucas, look at Ms. Ingram. She's gentle, beautiful, and considerate, and she's a doctor. She's perfect for you."
"Mr. Lucas, would you let Ms. Ingram be your girlfriend?"
After saying that, Gilbert looked at Vincent with anticipation.
At the same time, Freddy said, "That would be great. If Mr. Lucas and Ms. Ingram are together, their baby would be gorgeous."
The atmosphere around the table thickened suddenly.
Jessica was also surprised; she hadn't expected Freddy and Gilbert to be so thoughtful now.
"Mr. Lucas, is that okay?" Gilbert and Freddy asked, blinking their eyes.
Seeing the tension, Jessica quickly intervened, "Alright, Gilbert, Freddy, finding a girlfriend requires fate. You can't force Mr. Lucas and Ms. Ingram."
"Marriage is a serious commitment, not something to take lightly."
Freddy and Gilbert felt a bit dejected and said, "We just think Ms. Ingram is such a good person. It would be a shame if she married someone else. It would be great if she married Mr. Lucas!"
"Okay, Mommy, we were being immature."
Seeing them so disappointed, Jessica felt a pang of heartache.
Jessica was wondering if she had been too harsh.
Suddenly, Vincent's gentle voice came to her ears, "Alright, since it's Gilbert and Freddy's introduction, I will seriously consider it, okay?"
"Really?"
Gilbert and Freddy immediately brightened up.
Because they were so happy, their eyes and eyebrows curved into smiles.
Vincent looked at them with satisfaction and placed another piece of roast meat in each of their bowls, "This is your favorite food. Eat more, and I'll order more if you finish."
"Okay, Mr. Lucas is the best."
Gilbert and Freddy ate contentedly.
Jessica couldn't help but remember, "Vincent, you spoil them too much, even more than I do."
Vincent just smiled without saying a word.
Tina couldn't describe her feelings.
From Vincent's attitude, it seemed he didn't like being introduced to girlfriends.
But because it was Freddy and Gilbert's suggestion, he couldn't bear to refuse and see them disappointed and sad.
Jessica was right; Vincent spoiled Gilbert and Freddy.
And Tina knew that the reason was simply that Vincent loved Jessica, so he also deeply loved her children.
How intense must Vincent's love be to do this?
Tina suddenly thought of a saying: Some love cannot be hidden. Even if you cover your mouth, it will still come out through your eyes.
This saying perfectly describes Vincent's feelings for Jessica.
Tina had seen many moments when Vincent looked at Jessica with deep affection and tenderness.
And Tina followed Vincent's gaze, which was filled with his deep love for Jessica.
Unrequited love was destined to be painful.
A secret crush was destined to be bittersweet.
She couldn't even speak it out loud.
Feeling heavy-hearted, Tina felt an urgent need to breathe some fresh air.
She got up and headed to the restroom.
But as soon as Tina took several steps, Vincent's voice followed from behind, "Tina?"
