Chapter 562 Jessica Got Hit
Jessica curled her lips into a faint smile.
"Yeah, goodbye."
"Francis, I'm truly sorry for all the trouble I've caused and for putting you in a tough spot. But don't worry, it won't happen again. Vincent is here to take me home."
"So, goodbye, take care!"
As she said these words, Jessica kept a gentle smile on her face.
It was as if going back was a great comfort and joy for Jessica.
As the last word fell, Jessica didn't linger for a moment.
She turned around and quickly walked out with determined steps.
Watching Jessica's departing figure, a wave of immense pain suddenly engulfed Francis.
He quickly reached out his hand, but it was too late; his fingers couldn't even touch the hem of Jessica's clothes.
Francis could only watch her walk further and further away.
Suddenly, as if awakening, Francis instinctively chased after her.
But at that moment, Celia's anguished scream came from behind him, "Francis, no, don't go."
"I beg you, don't go."
"Today is our wedding day. You promised to marry me, to make me your bride. Please don't go, okay?"
Francis looked at Celia in pain.
After a long while, he spoke with pale lips, "I'm sorry, Celia. I thought I could give up Jessica and make it up to you, but I was wrong."
"Do you know? The moment I saw her leave, my heart ached."
"Without Jessica, I feel like a zombie. I'm sorry, Celia. I'll make it up to you in every way I can, except for myself. But now, I have to find Jessica."
Francis started to run outside.
At that moment, Celia suddenly caught up and grabbed his arm.
Celia cried out, shouting hoarsely.
"Francis, I beg you, have mercy on me. Today is our wedding day. Can we talk about this later? Let's finish the wedding first."
"Everyone here today is my family and friends. If you leave, what will they think of me? How am I supposed to live?"
Celia held onto Francis tightly, unwilling to let him leave.
But Francis resolutely pushed Celia's hands away.
Francis clearly told her, "Celia, whether I've wronged you or owe you, you can hit me, curse me, it's up to you. But I'm sorry, today's wedding is canceled. I can't convince myself to go through with it."
"I love Jessica, and I have to find Jessica."
Francis started to walk out.
Celia knew she couldn't stop him anymore.
At that moment, she raised her voice and shouted, "Francis, I just want to ask you one question. You have to find Jessica, right?"
"Yes."
His answer was firm, and decisive, without any hesitation.
"Okay."
Suddenly, Celia smiled.
"Fine, then go find her. But I will make sure you never forget me, that you always carry guilt for me."
"Francis, I told you, I love you more than Jessica does!"
With that, Celia suddenly smashed the glass next to her.
Then Celia picked up the sharpest piece of glass and held it to her neck.
With a smile on her lips, Celia's tone suddenly became incredibly calm. "Go ahead, if you want to go, go. I won't stop you anymore."
"Goodbye, Francis."
With a beautiful smile on her face, Celia suddenly stabbed the glass shard into her neck.
"No."
"Celia, no."
In his ears, Francis heard Theron's shout and Alisha's heart-wrenching cries.
Francis quickly ran over and grabbed Celia.
But it was too late; the glass shard had already pierced Celia's neck.
Instantly, Celia's blood gushed out.
Blood dripped down her neck unstoppably.
Celia's clothes were soaked with the smell of blood.
The scene was chaotic.
A few quick-thinking, calm individuals had already called the ambulance.
Francis held Celia, his whole body trembling. Seeing her covered in blood, his eyes seemed to turn red.
"Francis, you're not leaving?"
Looking at him, Celia suddenly smiled and tried to touch his cheek.
"Don't talk, the ambulance is on its way. You won't die."
He reached out and grabbed Celia's hand, holding it tightly.
"Okay, I won't talk."
"Then promise me, don't leave me alone. Don't go, okay?"
Francis nodded with difficulty. "Okay!"
Celia smiled contentedly and collapsed into his arms.
"Where's the ambulance?"
"Why isn't the ambulance here yet?"
"Celia, hold on, please don't let anything happen to you. I beg you, don't let anything happen!"
Alisha prayed on the side.
Finally, the sound of the ambulance could be heard getting closer.
Francis and Alisha accompanied Celia into the ambulance.
At that moment, Francis suddenly heard voices from the crowd.
"It's such a pity. The woman who ran out in the wedding dress just now got hit by a car. I heard she was thrown into the air and bled all over the place."
"You don't know, the scene was terrifying, so tragic. I heard the woman was pregnant, just a few weeks away from giving birth."
"It was so awful, I couldn't bear to look at it."
Francis listened in a daze.
For a moment, his mind went blank.
It felt as though only voices surrounded him, but he couldn't hear what they were saying.
After a while, he reacted.
Just as the ambulance was about to close, suddenly, Francis rushed out.
Behind him, Alisha called out, "Francis, what are you doing? Where are you going?"
"Come back, don't you know Celia will want to see you when she wakes up?"
But those words were useless now.
Francis quickly ran over and grabbed a man's collar, his eyes fierce and terrifying as he asked, "What did you just say? Say it again, who was in the car accident?"
The man was startled and stammered, "The woman who just caused a scene at your wedding!"
"What?"
Francis shouted in disbelief.
No, it couldn't be.
His Jessica, the beautiful woman in the wedding dress today, how could she be in a car accident? How could she die?
No, it couldn't be, it must be fake.
Everyone was lying to him.
They were all punishing him.
This couldn't be real.
Letting go of the man, Francis staggered and ran madly.
He kept running, shouting angrily, "Where? Where's the accident site?"
"A little further ahead."
"Just a bit further, you'll be there soon." The people around him directed.
Finally, Francis reached the accident site.
