Chapter 761 Feeling Sorry for Him 2
Grace looked over coldly, "You wish. Just tell me, are you going to listen to me or not?"
Quentin nodded repeatedly, "Of course, when my girlfriend speaks, how could I not obey?"
The words instantly made Grace's entire face flush red.
Quentin couldn't take his eyes off her after just one glance.
"Grace, you're so beautiful!"
Thinking this in his heart, he didn't hide it and blurted out.
Grace's cheeks turned even redder.
That blush was fixed in Quentin's eyes.
She was gentle, captivating, and beautiful, making his heart race uncontrollably again.
"Mr. Taft, here are the meeting materials you requested."
Suddenly, Willie came in from outside, interrupting the quiet and beautiful moment.
Quentin frowned, holding his forehead with one hand, thinking, 'Willie is too clueless, I had just promised Grace.'
Thinking of this, he tried hard to give Willie a look.
Willie understood immediately and moved closer with the documents, "Mr. Taft, please review these."
Grace's gaze swept over the two of them and finally landed on Quentin, "You liar, you don't keep your word, didn't you just promise me?"
"I'm telling you, if you deal with work again in the next few days and don't rest properly, I won't come to see you anymore."
With that, she made a move to leave.
Quentin, ignoring his wound, immediately grabbed her.
"Let go, you can stay with your work, I'm going back."
Grace deliberately didn't look at him, pretending to be angry.
In this situation, even Willie, no matter how slow, realized what was happening.
As expected, he was the one who suffered again.
Quentin held Grace's hand and explained, "Grace, it's really not me; Willie brought the documents on his own."
'Quentin, you didn't tell me, how was I supposed to know!' Willie thought innocently.
"If you didn't instruct him, would he have brought them?"
Hearing Grace's words, Willie's heart suddenly warmed.
Grace was very understanding and very knowledgeable about the workplace.
But the warmth in his heart quickly disappeared.
"Then you're both at fault, both of you are accomplices, neither of you is forgivable."
Sure enough, he was the one who got hurt.
"Quentin, let go." Grace was still angry.
"It hurts, it really hurts, Willie, go get the doctor." Suddenly, Quentin cried out in pain.
Grace immediately softened, turning around anxiously to support him, "Where does it hurt, does it hurt a lot?"
"Grace, are you still leaving?" Quentin pretended to be pitiful.
"I'm asking you if it hurts?" Grace said bluntly, her main concern now was his health.
Quentin pointed to his injured area, "I don't know. Anyway, it's out of my control, it doesn't follow my commands, it only listens to you."
"You're talking nonsense, I don't believe you."
"It's true." Quentin quickly held her hand, "Grace, it really only listens to you."
"See, when you leave, it hurts; when you come back, it doesn't hurt."
Grace held her forehead. Sometimes Quentin really was like a little boy, very cute.
But she enjoyed it.
In the end, she softened, she looked at him again and asked seriously, "So, are you going to manage work in the next few days?"
"No, absolutely not." Quentin shook his head.
"Are you going to get out of bed or leave the ward without permission?"
"No."
"Are you going to listen to the doctor and rest properly?"
Just about to shake his head, Quentin quickly reacted, "I will absolutely follow the doctor's orders."
Grace was finally satisfied, "That's more like it."
After they made up, Quentin looked at Willie, "Did you hear that? No work matters are to disturb me in the next few days, there are plenty of people in the company who can make decisions, if they can't, they can wait until I recover."
Willie nodded seriously and solemnly, "Yes, Mr. Taft, understood."
"I promise, Ms. Morgan, I will not disturb you with work matters in the next few days."
Only then was Grace truly relieved.
As it turned out, this method was very effective.
Without the burden of work, Quentin watched the news and variety shows every day, maintaining a good mood.
Coupled with a good diet and rest schedule.
Quentin's body recovered quickly.
A week later, Quentin was discharged from the hospital.
With a good constitution, he recovered almost completely in just a few days, whereas an average person might have had to stay in the hospital for two weeks.
In the past few days, Grace had already sent people to find Beth's mother.
Grace didn't know Beth's mother's exact location; the only information was the address on Beth's driver's license.
But due to relocation, the information on Beth's license had already been moved to this city.
Fortunately, Grace finally used the known clues to find Beth's hometown, which had the detailed address.
Answering the phone, Grace was full of anticipation, "How is it? Have you found her?"
"Ms. Morgan, not yet. We followed the address but found out they had moved a long time ago, and after following the clues, we discovered they had moved over a dozen times."
"This makes it very difficult to find them, you need to be prepared for that."
"I can pay double, no matter how difficult it is, you must find them."
This was Grace's promise to Beth, she had to fulfill it.
Only then could Grace let Beth truly rest in peace.
Another half month passed, and Quentin's injury had almost healed.
His several follow-up examinations were all very good.
Another good news was that Marlon had been sent to the police station, the evidence was conclusive, and the lawyer said he would soon be sentenced to life imprisonment. Marlon would spend the rest of his life in prison.
Marlon would never see the outside world again.
A month later, Grace brought a bouquet and went alone to Beth's grave.
Beth didn't have many friends, and her mother was missing and couldn't be contacted.
Grace had handled everything after her death, and this grave was also bought by Grace, in the best location.
"Beth, Marlon won't be getting out of prison, everything has turned out as we wished."
"Rest assured, he won't bother you anymore."
"And the baby, I believe she can follow you to a new world and always be with you."
"As for your mother, I'm looking for her, don't worry, I will definitely fulfill my promise to you."
At dusk, Grace walked out of the cemetery.
Just as she got down the hill, Grace received a call, "Ms. Morgan, we found Beth's mother."
