Chapter 514 Going to See Him
Vincent's words exploded in Jessica's mind like a depth charge.
Her voice trembled, and she almost froze as she spoke, "What did you say?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Jessica's eyes turned bloodshot.
Jessica's whole body began to tremble uncontrollably.
Oscar looked at Jessica, utterly certain and serious, and repeated, "Mrs. Walton, it's true, we found Mr. Walton!"
Jessica exclaimed excitedly, "Where is Gabriel?"
"Oscar, hurry, take me to see Gabriel right away."
"I need to see Gabriel."
Jessica's final words emerged almost as a scream, her voice strained and hoarse.
Tina tried to hold her hand, "Jessica, calm down. Now that we've found Mr. Walton, he won't go missing again."
"Don't be anxious, you'll see Mr. Walton soon."
"Tina, you're right, I shouldn't be too anxious. Oh, you reminded me, I need to get ready."
Jessica turned to Oscar and Vincent, "Can you wait for me a moment?"
After saying that, she quickly took Tina's hand and went to the restroom.
Then Jessica anxiously asked, "Tina, did you bring your makeup bag?"
"I did."
"Hurry, let me use it. Gabriel hasn't seen me for so long, I've gained a lot of weight, and I didn't put on any makeup today. I can't meet Gabriel looking like this."
"I need to get ready. I must look beautiful when I see Gabriel."
Because she was so excited, Jessica kept dropping her eyebrow pencil and eyeshadow brush while doing her makeup, and even the powder puff in her hand trembled as she applied foundation.
Tina couldn't stand it anymore and said immediately, "Jessica, take a deep breath and sit down. I'll do your makeup."
"Okay, thank you, Tina."
Outside, Oscar and Vincent exchanged glances.
Their faces were full of worry.
"Mr. Lucas, should we tell Mrs. Walton about Mr. Walton now?" Oscar was very troubled and hesitant.
Vincent frowned, took a deep drag on his cigarette, and remained silent for a long time.
After a while, Vincent finally spoke, "It's better for her to face this herself."
"Okay," Oscar replied.
About ten minutes later, Jessica came out.
As soon as she came out, Jessica eagerly walked towards Oscar and Vincent, "I'm ready, take me to see him now!"
Jessica was excited and thrilled the whole way.
So much so that Jessica didn't even think about one question: if Gabriel was alive, why hadn't he come to find her?
But Tina thought of this question.
Gabriel loved Jessica so much. If he were alive, he wouldn't just watch Jessica suffer and be sad.
And since Gabriel hadn't come back, there were only a few possibilities.
Either Gabriel was very seriously injured.
Or Gabriel was alive but hadn't woken up.
Or, Gabriel was fine, but he might have forgotten Jessica.
Any of these situations would be unbearable for Jessica.
But looking at Jessica's happy and expectant expression, how could Tina bear to say it out loud?
Oscar had arranged for the Walton family's private jet, and they all boarded together.
Two hours later, the plane landed.
Then, there was an hour-long journey.
At first, Jessica would anxiously ask, "Oscar, how much longer? Are we almost there?"
Jessica would also ask, "Vincent, have you already seen Gabriel? Or did you just receive a clue that Gabriel might be here? Could there be a mistake?"
Vincent looked at Jessica and answered firmly, "Jessica, there's no mistake. We've seen Gabriel with our eyes."
Hearing this, Jessica immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's good. As long as you've seen Gabriel, that's good."
"I believe you, so there won't be any mistake. That's great."
Seeing Jessica's excited and happy demeanor, Vincent nearly spoke but stopped himself.
If meeting Gabriel would ultimately be cruel, at least for now, Vincent wanted Jessica to be happy for a while, to have a bit more hope.
"Mrs. Walton, Mr. Walton is in the small town ahead. We're almost there."
As the car drove down a winding path, Oscar spoke up.
"Okay."
When they were about to see Gabriel, Jessica didn't anxiously ask any more questions.
But Jessica's heart started pounding uncontrollably.
Jessica was so happy, excited, and thrilled.
Especially when she thought about seeing Gabriel soon, hugging him, and expressing her long-held feelings, Jessica found it increasingly hard to control her excitement.
Suddenly, the car hit a bumpy spot and jolted.
Jessica reflexively protected her belly and gently comforted, "Baby, it's okay, don't be scared."
"Baby, do you know? We're about to see your daddy."
Jessica placed her hand on her belly, a warm glow surrounding her.
She bathed in the warm glow, smiling gently, full of happiness.
Such beauty made anyone hesitant to disturb her.
The car turned a corner and stopped.
Oscar got out and opened the back door, "Mrs. Walton, we're here."
"We're here?"
Jessica immediately clenched her fists. Although she hadn't seen Gabriel yet, she was already filled with anticipation.
"Where's Gabriel?"
Oscar pointed to the house ahead, "He's in that house. Mrs. Walton, you can see him if you go inside."
"Okay."
Jessica walked inside.
With each step, she could hear her heartbeat.
As she was about to see Gabriel, Jessica suddenly felt very nervous.
"Gabriel, wait for me, I'm almost there."
Then, when she reached the yard, it was empty, with nothing there.
Jessica became anxious and started shouting, "Gabriel, Gabriel."
"Gabriel, it's Jessica. Where are you? I've come to find you. Please come out, don't hide anymore, okay?"
Jessica raised her voice, shouting anxiously.
"Gabriel, come out, come out!"
"It's Jessica, don't you want to see me?"
But no matter how much she shouted, there was no response.
"Oscar." Jessica couldn't stay calm any longer. She walked out while calling.
Just then, an elderly couple arrived at the door, seemingly talking to Vincent.
Vincent walked over.
Jessica immediately grabbed Vincent's sleeve, pleading, "Vincent, please help me find Gabriel. Is something wrong? I didn't see Gabriel."
"Jessica," Vincent said with difficulty, "I just asked. Gabriel isn't here right now; he's by the beach."
"Really?" Jessica immediately smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, "Vincent, then take me there quickly. I can't wait to see Gabriel."
