Chapter 633 Jessica Helps Grace Vent Her Anger
Grace turned around, her gaze coldly fixed on Callie, who was almost baring her teeth in anger.
Grace's voice was frigid as she replied, "Why should I respond to a bitch's taunts?"
Callie was furious.
In an instant, Callie roared angrily, "Grace, how dare you call me a bitch?"
With a cold laugh, Grace looked at her, "Because you are a bitch."
This made Callie even angrier.
She clenched her fists, her whole body trembling with rage.
"Grace, you are simply..."
In an instant, Callie lifted her hand, driven by one overwhelming impulse: to slap Grace and release her frustration.
However, just as Callie's hand was about to come down.
Her hand was stopped by a beautifully made-up Jessica.
Callie raised her head and questioned coldly, "Who are you? I advise you to mind your own business."
Jessica looked at Callie indifferently, her sharp gaze almost piercing through her.
Jessica's voice was even more forceful, "What if I insist on getting involved?"
At that moment, Callie didn't care about anything else, she just wanted to vent her anger.
"I gave you a chance, but since you don't appreciate it, don't blame me for being rude."
"And how do you plan to be rude?"
Callie coldly ordered the bodyguards behind her, "Drag this woman away for me."
Jessica's presence expanded like a storm front, her sharp gaze slicing through the room, leaving a trail of unease in its wake.
"Who's got the guts?"
Instantly, the bodyguards were stunned and didn't dare to move.
Callie became even angrier, shouting, "What are you doing? A few grown men afraid of one woman? Aren't you ashamed?"
"All of you, get her, or you'll all be fired."
Jessica sneered, looking at Callie with disdain. "Is this all you can do? Don't think I don't know you, a not-so-famous actress, ugly, with no redeeming qualities."
"I remember you used to be a maid for Grace. Remember, once a supporting role, always a supporting role to Grace."
"With your looks, how dare you act arrogant in front of Grace? You should check on yourself. If I were you, I wouldn't even try the entertainment world."
Callie was already seething with fury at Grace. Now, she trembled with anger, her face a stormy canvas of red and blue, each color reflecting the tempest brewing inside her.
"Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?"
"Who I am doesn't matter. What truly matters is the undeniable truth: you're ugly, inside and out."
Callie couldn't take it anymore.
At that moment, consumed by anger, Callie raised her hand.
In an instant, Callie's slap landed on Jessica's face.
Callie hit hard, so Jessica's face quickly turned red.
Ignoring her face, Jessica turned around with a faint smile on her lips.
Then, Jessica took out her phone and made a call.
About ten minutes later, the police arrived.
"Who called the police?"
Jessica immediately raised her hand, "It was me. I was just assaulted here for no reason. Please help me get justice."
The police walked over and looked around, then said: "Take them all back."
At this point, a wave of fear washed over Callie. As the haze of anger faded, regret began to creep in. After all, Callie was a public figure. Once the police were involved, everything would change. And no matter what, Callie had just hit Jessica, and if this got exposed online, her image would be affected.
If things took a turn for the worse, the TV shows and endorsements Callie was negotiating could all fall through, and she might even have to pay compensation.
Lydia stepped forward and tugged on Callie's sleeve, "Callie, think about the bigger picture. Don't forget how many years it took you to get to where you are today."
"Do you want to ruin your reputation and career in one day?"
Callie knew this all too well.
But she just couldn't hold back her anger.
But in the end, under Lydia's persuasion, Callie ultimately let her rational side take charge of her emotions.
Trying to calm her down, Callie forced a smile and walked towards Jessica.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it just now. I acted on impulse and couldn't control myself."
"But no matter what, it was my fault. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have hit you."
But Jessica remained standing, her face cold and expressionless.
Callie felt extremely awkward.
Under Lydia's urging, Callie forced another smile and spoke in a fawning tone.
"I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"
"How about this, you name a condition, and I'll agree to it. Can we settle this?"
Seeing no reaction from Jessica, Callie continued, "If we settle, I'll give you twenty thousand dollars right now, on the spot. Is that okay?"
Jessica sneered.
At that moment, Jessica raised her hand, deliberately showing off the ring on her slender finger.
Especially the large diamond on it.
Instantly, Callie's features darkened, revealing her displeasure. Callie had only seen such a large diamond on TV and in magazines, never this close.
But Jessica had such a large diamond.
Callie felt a wave of despair, unable to speak out of panic.
Jessica, however, gently stroked the ring on her hand and then remarked "This ring is valued at six million dollars; alright, and did you see the car I parked outside? Two million dollars."
"And my entire outfit, it's worth at least two hundred thousand dollars."
Jessica stepped forward, deliberately stopping in front of Callie, and spoke sarcastically.
"So, do you think I'm someone who needs twenty thousand dollars?"
After Jessica finished speaking, Callie staggered.
Seeing Callie's embarrassed expression, Jessica felt very satisfied.
She had never liked flaunting her wealth and was usually very low-key in her attire.
But the entertainment industry thrived on its glitz and glamour, a place where the weak were often bullied and the strong were met with fear. Today, Jessica accompanied Grace to an audition, apprehensive of encountering women who valued wealth above all else, so Jessica deliberately wore this outfit and the largest diamond ring.
Jessica didn't expect it to come in handy.
Callie was already so scared that her legs were weak, her heart pounding with anxiety.
She never expected to offend someone she shouldn't have.
Now, all she could do was pray that Jessica was merely a flashy newcomer without any real influence. If not, Callie knew she would struggle to navigate the fallout.
At that moment, Jessica looked at the police, "Sorry, I don't accept their settlement. Please proceed with my report."
In the police car, Jessica politely asked, "Officer, may I call my family?"
"Sure."
Jessica dialed Gabriel's number.
At that moment, her voice was delicate, full of grievance and sobs.
"Honey, I've been taken to the police station. What should I do? I'm so scared!"
