Chapter 416 Meeting with the Two Babies 1

Gabriel placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, tidied himself up, and then held Jessica's hand as they walked out together.

When they opened the door, Gabriel and Jessica were holding hands tightly, looking very much in love.

As soon as the door opened, Gilbert immediately smiled and shouted, "Daddy, Mommy, I knew you were in there!"

With that, he eagerly rushed towards Gabriel.

Jessica, standing to the side, innocently touched her nose.

Gilbert had just found Gabriel, and it seemed like she, as a mother, had already lost favor. She was very sad.

Compared to Gilbert's excitement and enthusiasm, Freddy appeared more restrained.

Freddy was also very happy, but there was still a lot of confusion in his eyes as he looked at Gabriel.

After all, this was his first time meeting Gabriel.

"Are you really my dad?" Freddy walked over to Jessica and looked up at Gabriel, asking.

"Of course, Freddy. Daddy has my professional certification," Gilbert said proudly.

Unexpectedly, Freddy put on a serious face and said earnestly, "Gilbert, I don't want to hear it from you. I want to hear it from him."

Gabriel, holding Gilbert, squatted down and looked Freddy in the eye, answering just as seriously.

"Freddy, nice to meet you. Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Gabriel, and I am your dad."

With that, he opened his other arm to Freddy. "Come here, let me hug you, okay?"

Gabriel was undeniably very attractive to him.

For the past five years, he had often dreamed of his dad. He and Gilbert would often secretly call out for their dad.

Now, his dad was standing in front of him. Besides being happy, he seemed a bit at a loss.

Turning his head, Freddy nervously clenched his fists and looked to Jessica for help. "Mom, is he my dad? You didn't lie to me?"

Jessica took out her phone, opened a photo of her and Gabriel together from the past, and handed it to Freddy.

She explained, "Gilbert didn't lie to you. I can tell you very seriously that he is your dad."

Only then did Freddy completely believe it.

But immediately, just like Gilbert back then, Freddy had another question. "If you're my dad, why were you so heartless? You didn't come to see me and Gilbert for five years. You're a failure. You're not a good dad."

This statement surprised everyone.

Not only Jessica and Gabriel, but even Gilbert was extremely surprised.

He widened his eyes and looked at Freddy. "Freddy, what are you saying? You always want to find our dad and play with him."

"You also said that once we found Dad, you wanted him to lift us high, just like other dads do."

Freddy, however, pouted, looking both angry and sad, "That was before. I always thought you and Mom were lying to me, trying to comfort me. I thought our dad was dead, so I made all those beautiful wishes to make you and mom feel better. But since he's alive, why didn't he come to find us?"

"He must not like us at all. Otherwise, why didn't he come to find us? Other people's dads are superheroes, so great and powerful, but he abandoned us. I don't like him at all." Freddy yelled angrily.

Jessica hugged Freddy tightly, gently comforting him.

But Freddy's emotions were still very intense. "Mommy, I don't want to see him at all."

"He's so bad. He abandoned us for five years. I saw you crying often, taking care of me so hard, so tired. I feel so sorry for you, Mommy, so I hate him." The more Freddy spoke, the more heartbroken he cried. Crystal-clear tears rolled down his cheeks and his small body shook with sobs. "I hate him," He added.

This sentence pierced Gabriel's heart like a needle.

He never expected to hear such words from his son's mouth. Perhaps he had been too optimistic about everything.

Back then, Gilbert had quickly accepted him, so he had always been confident that Freddy would also accept him, even be very excited and happy.

However, reality was far from what he had imagined.

Freddy didn't want to see him at all, instead, he hated him.

Gabriel's expression was as bitter and heavy as it could be.

Especially seeing Freddy crying so sadly in Jessica's arms, his heart ached even more.

Taking a step forward, he reached out, wanting to touch Freddy's head, to comfort him, or to hold him.

However, as soon as he raised his hand, Freddy hid in Jessica's arms, sobbing, "Don't touch me. I want Mommy to hold me. Not you. Mommy, I don't want to see him. Can we go inside?"

Jessica was in a dilemma.

She felt sorry for Freddy on one hand and for Gabriel on the other.

At the same time, she deeply realized her mistake.

If it weren't for the five years of separation, they should have been the happiest, most loving father and son. But now, Freddy was so resentful of his dad.

A bystander should be uncomfortable watching this, let alone Gabriel. He must feel even worse.

But considering Freddy's illness, she couldn't let him get too emotional. Jessica had to lean towards him. "Okay, Freddy, be good. I'll take you inside, okay?"

With Jessica's promise and gentle comfort, Freddy's emotions stabilized a lot.

With tears, he kissed Jessica's cheek and nodded. "Okay."

Jessica held him with one hand, stroked his hair with the other, and looked at Gabriel. "I'll take him inside first. You and Gilbert sit in the living room for a while."

Then she looked at Gilbert and gently said, "Can you stay in the living room with your dad?"

"Okay, Mommy. You go inside with Freddy. Don't worry, I'll comfort Dad."

Indeed, Gilbert was a smart boy. Before Jessica even mentioned it, Gilbert had already thought of it.

After Jessica took Freddy into the room, Gilbert immediately reached out and hugged Gabriel, patting his back.

"Dad, don't be mad at Freddy. He wants a dad. He's just too worried about Mommy!"

Saying this, Gilbert straightened up and pointed to his shoulder.

Gilbert earnestly said, "Dad, you can lean on my shoulder. And I won't laugh at you if you cry. Mommy says crying when you're sad makes you feel a lot better."
