Chapter 819 Seeking Justice
If she hadn't seen it, Grace might be deluding herself that Quentin and Caroline were just in a business marriage.
But at that moment, Grace could no longer deceive herself.
She pinched her palm hard and put away all her emotions. "I'm here to see Quentin."
Caroline looked over and said indifferently, "Then you'll have to wait a bit; he's not here right now."
"No need, I'm here to see you."
"See me?" Caroline was taken aback.
Then her face lit up with a bright smile. "Sit down, Ms. Morgan. What do you want to talk to me about?"
Looking at Caroline's obviously fake smile, Grace wanted to tear it apart.
"Caroline, have I not warned you that I have leverage over you? Do you think you're so powerful, or do you think I wouldn't dare do anything to you?"
Caroline shrugged, looking innocent. "Grace, what are you talking about?"
"Are you denying what you've done?"
"What did I do? Grace, be clear."
With a cold laugh, Grace threw everything in her hand in front of Caroline. "Then open your eyes and take a good look."
"Caroline, I told you, I'm not to be trifled with. Since you want to destroy me, I'm ready to fight you with my life. How about that?"
Caroline couldn't help but laugh after looking at the items in front of her.
"Grace, you're hilarious! Do you think you can slander me with just a few photos?"
Caroline did it but wouldn't admit it!
Grace lost her patience. She stepped forward and grabbed Caroline's hair.
"Let me tell you, Mark is lying in bed after saving me. If he never wakes up or becomes disabled, I will stop at nothing to make you pay."
"Take care of yourself. I have nothing to lose, but you are different."
Caroline's temper flared up, and she shouted angrily.
"Grace, you're crazy! I already told you it wasn't me."
"I warn you, if you don't let go, I'll call for help."
Grace sneered, completely unfazed by her threat. "Go ahead, shout as loud as you want. I want everyone to know that the Stewart family's precious daughter is a murderer."
"You're insane, completely unreasonable."
Caroline got angry. She reached out and pushed Grace away.
At the same time, she raised her hand, ready to strike.
But when she saw a figure in the distance, she deliberately fell hard to the ground.
Covering her face, Caroline looked pitifully at Grace. "I've already explained it wasn't me. Why don't you believe me?"
Just a moment ago, Caroline had a vicious expression, but now she looked delicate and fragile.
Grace's professional instincts immediately sensed something was wrong.
Sure enough, when she turned around, Quentin was already entering the room.
"Grace, what are you doing here?"
Undoubtedly, Quentin was surprised to see Grace.
But Caroline quickly regained his attention.
"Quentin, help me up. I twisted my ankle; it hurts so much!"
"Why are you lying on the ground?"
Quentin's gaze fell on her nightgown, displeased.
But he reached out to help her up.
Caroline glanced at Grace, then suddenly screamed and fell into Quentin's arms.
Grace immediately looked away, speaking calmly. "If you two want to show off your love, you can wait until I leave. There's no need to be so impatient."
Caroline smiled gently, looking smug. "Oh, I forgot you were here, Grace. Sorry, Quentin and I just couldn't help ourselves."
As she spoke, she deliberately reached for Grace's arm.
Grace was already disgusted with her and couldn't tolerate it.
Grace brushed her arm, and Caroline fell to the ground.
One had to admit, Caroline fell quite artistically.
Her forehead hit the sharp corner of the table, and blood instantly gushed out.
She clung to Quentin in fear. "Quentin, I didn't say anything the first time, but you saw this with your eyes. I don't ask for much, just for Ms. Morgan to apologize. Is that too much?"
Grace stood there, her gaze quietly falling on Quentin.
What would he say?
Would he stand by Grace or Caroline?
Grace clenched her fists, waiting for his answer.
"Grace, apologize to her!"
However, when those words rang out, Grace felt as if she had been struck in the heart.
Although Grace hadn't dared to hope, when Quentin said those words, she clutched her chest, almost unable to breathe from the pain.
A cold smile appeared on Grace's face, and her sharp gaze shot over. "Quentin, I won't apologize."
"If you're asking me to apologize to her, I tell you, it's impossible."
Grace would never apologize to Caroline in her lifetime.
Quentin walked over, placing a hand on Grace's shoulder.
However, as soon as he did, Grace quickly stepped back, her eyes filled with disdain.
"Take your hand off me. Don't touch me!"
"Grace."
Quentin tried to step forward again, but Grace took another big step back.
"I'll say it again, don't touch me. I find it disgusting!"
"Fine." Quentin withdrew his hand. "Grace, let's calm down. You did hurt Caroline just now. It's reasonable for her to ask for an apology."
At that moment, Grace's emotions could no longer be contained and erupted wildly.
She raised her head, laughing brightly and brilliantly.
But her words were filled with grievance and tears. "Quentin, you say I hurt her? Do you know what she did to me?"
"The swing on the stage wasn't an accident. Caroline used her power and went to great lengths to try to kill me!"
"I just didn't let her pull me, and you want me to apologize? She almost killed me, what price should she pay?"
By the end, Grace was already breaking down.
Quentin looked at her, his heart aching to the point of suffocation. His trembling hand reached out but then pressed down tightly.
Watching Grace cry, he felt more pain than anyone.
'But Grace, I'm sorry! This time, I can't stand by your side or embrace you recklessly.' Quentin could just think to himself.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Grace coldly questioned.
Quentin's thin lips parted, and he slowly spoke. "I'm sorry, Grace. I knew about the swing incident long ago. Caroline didn't mean it; she was also being used."
"Since you weren't hurt, let's pretend it never happened."
"Quentin!" Grace shouted, looking at him in disbelief.
At that moment, Quentin, before her, was a stranger.
