Chapter 431 Freddy's Surgery 2

Freddy immediately became interested and happily asked, "Daddy, what's the good news?"

Gilbert eagerly guessed from the side, "Daddy, is it that Freddy's illness can be cured?"

Gabriel affectionately tapped Gilbert's nose. "Gilbert, you're so smart. I haven't even said anything, and you already guessed it."

"Wow! Daddy, Is it true? My illness can be cured?" Freddy asked excitedly, his face beaming with joy.

"Of course." Gabriel nodded sincerely. "If you don't believe me, Freddy, you can ask your Mommy."

Freddy immediately looked at Jessica.

Suppressing her worry, Jessica smiled happily and with relief. "It's true, Dr. Carr just told us."

"That's great!" Overjoyed, Freddy raised both fists high, his face radiating with a bright smile, extremely happy.

He asked happily, "Daddy, Mommy if my illness is cured, can I run and jump like Gilbert? Can I play soccer, basketball, and chase games with other kids?"

Gabriel patted his head and nodded confidently. "Of course, and Freddy, do you remember what I said? When you get better, we'll go back home. A kind and gentle grandma is waiting for us. She will be very happy to see a healthy and adorable you."

"Okay, then I want to get better soon and go see grandma!"

At this moment, Gabriel's tone became slightly serious. "But Freddy, you have to listen to Dr. Carr. We need to give you anesthesia first, then go into the operating room. After a few hours, when you open your eyes, you'll see me and your Mommy. Are you willing to do that?"

Although he had been in the emergency room a few times, Freddy was still a bit unfamiliar with the operating room.

However, he had heard that only very sick people needed to go to the operating room.

"Daddy, does it hurt in the operating room? I heard they use knives," Freddy asked, a bit scared.

Gabriel held his hand and gently explained, "After the anesthesia, it won't hurt. Freddy, it will be like sleeping at night. When you wake up, the surgery will be over."

"Really? It won't hurt? Daddy, don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying to you. But after you wake up, it might hurt a bit. Do you think you can bravely face this challenge, Freddy?"

Thinking for a moment, Freddy looked at Jessica. "Mommy, if it hurts, will you blow on my wound?"

"Of course, I will stay with you, Freddy, until it doesn't hurt anymore." Jessica smiled, but her heart was aching terribly.

When Freddy was little, if he fell and it wasn't too bad, she would encourage him to get up bravely.

But if it hurt a lot, she would blow on his wound.

Freddy would quickly smile and forget all the pain.

Later, when he could talk, if he got hurt badly, he would show her the injured spot and softly say, "Mommy, it hurts. Please blow on it, and it won't hurt anymore."

But the pain from a surgical wound was far beyond the pain from a fall or a trip.

Once the anesthesia wore off, the pain from the surgical wound was hard for even an adult to bear, let alone a child.

Thinking of this, Jessica's heart felt like it was being stabbed.

But for his future health, as a mother, she had to bear all the pressure and take this gamble for Freddy.

If they won, it would be a lifetime without worries.

If they lost, she would die with him.

She would never let her Freddy be alone.

"Okay, Daddy and Mommy, you must keep your word." Freddy looked at Gabriel and Jessica, smiling innocently and brightly.

Then, Freddy looked at Gilbert. "Gilbert, you said that when I get better, you would take me to play everywhere."

"Of course, Freddy, I will always protect you."

Freddy smiled sweetly. "Then I will listen to Dr. Carr and go for the surgery."

"My Freddy is so great." Holding back her tears, Jessica nodded firmly.

Then, covering her mouth, she quickly turned and ran to the bathroom.

As soon as she got to the bathroom, Jessica's tears couldn't be stopped and flowed uncontrollably.

Her Freddy was so sensible, which made her heart ache even more.

Thinking that she had to go back to see Freddy soon, Jessica didn't dare to cry too much, or her eyes would be red and swollen.

Finally, after composing herself, she walked out.

As soon as she stepped out, she received a notification from the nurse that the preparations were done, and Freddy could go into the operating room.

"Okay, I'll bring him over in a moment."

Then, the four of them went upstairs to the operating room.

Soon, Freddy was changed into surgical clothes and wheeled into the operating room by the nurse.

Jessica couldn't hold back and suddenly rushed forward, shouting, "Freddy, my baby, remember, I'm waiting for you outside. "I will always wait for you and stay with you, okay?"

She didn't realize she was crying.

Freddy, however, looked at her puzzled. "Mommy, why are you crying?"

Jessica then realized, quickly wiped her tears, and smiled to cover up. "Oh, nothing, maybe something got into my eyes when I ran over. My eyes haven't been good lately, and they tear up easily in the wind."

"Mommy, then you should wipe them. If you cry, I will feel sad too!"

"Okay, I won't cry." Jessica nodded, while her heart was aching badly.

"Mommy, can you smile for me? You look the most beautiful when you smile and I always love it," Freddy asked.

"Okay," Gently responding, Jessica clasped her hands tightly and used all her strength to smile a relaxed and bright smile.

"Mommy, take care of yourself. I'm going in now. You promised to wait for me to come out."

"Yes, I promise. The first person you'll see when you open your eyes will be me, okay?"

"Okay." Freddy nodded, then looked at Gabriel, mustering up the courage, and shyly asked, "I also want a kiss from Daddy and Mommy, is that okay?"

Otherwise, he was afraid he might never enjoy his parents' kisses again.
