Chapter 513 Jessica, We Found Gabriel

"Mrs. Walton, you'll catch a cold, and you're pregnant!"

Louie's reminder snapped Jessica back to reality.

Otherwise, she really would have let the rain drench her.

"Thanks for the reminder!" Jessica said with a bitter smile.

"It's getting late. Can you take me home?"

Louie immediately held an umbrella for Jessica and walked by her side.

The wind and rain continued, but when Jessica reached the hall, she was completely dry and had no raindrops on her shoulders.

Louie, on the other hand, was nearly soaked to the bone.

"Your clothes are wet. I'll ask Charlotte to get you a towel and dry your clothes," Jessica said.

"Thank you, Mrs. Walton."

Louie's throat tightened, feeling a warmth in his heart.

When Jessica entered the bedroom, she found Gilbert and Freddy already asleep, likely lulled by Charlotte.

Jessica took off her coat, preparing for a hot bath.

As she held the coat, her hands lingered, unwilling to let go.

But no matter how much she missed him, it was just a coat.

She wished it was Gabriel with her, not just a piece of clothing.

She wanted Gabriel by her side!

Holding the coat, Jessica's tears suddenly fell.

At that moment, Gilbert suddenly got up from the bed and walked barefoot to Jessica's side.

He hugged her and looked up, asking, "Mommy, why are you crying?"

Seeing Gabriel's coat, he asked, "Do you miss Daddy? I miss Daddy too."

Jessica tenderly stroked Gilbert's head and then held him in her arms.

After a while, once she calmed down, she asked, "Gilbert, why did you wake up suddenly?"

"I'm thirsty. I want some water."

"Okay, wait here. I'll get it for you."

But Gilbert shook his head firmly, "No, Mommy, you're pregnant. It's tough for you. I'll get the water myself."

"Alright, be careful, Gilbert. Drink your water and go back to bed. I'll join you after my bath."

"Okay, Mommy. Be careful in the bath. Don't slip!" Gilbert reminded her thoughtfully.

The next day, as soon as Jessica woke up, Gilbert and Freddy came over and each kissed her on the cheek.

Jessica was momentarily stunned, staring at them blankly.

"Mommy, happy birthday!"

Gilbert and Freddy said in unison.

Jessica finally realized today was her birthday.

If not for their reminder, she would have forgotten.

She wasn't in the mood to celebrate her birthday.

But Freddy and Gilbert insisted on taking her to the wardrobe.

Freddy opened the wardrobe and picked out a dress, "Mommy, look, I chose this dress for you. Do you like it?"

It was a beautiful style, a soft yellow, with a loose waist, so even with her big belly, she didn't look fat at all.

"Mommy, go change. Freddy and I will wait outside."

Gilbert handed the dress to Jessica and pushed her into the dressing room.

After changing, Jessica looked at herself in the mirror.

Though her face was pale, she forced a bright smile.

"Freddy, Gilbert, I'm ready. Look!"

Gilbert and Freddy turned around immediately.

Seeing Jessica, they both smiled and praised, "Mommy, you look beautiful. This dress suits you perfectly!"

"Mommy, let's go!"

Jessica was surprised, "Where are we going?"

"To celebrate your birthday, of course. Mr. Lucas and Ms. Ingram have already booked a restaurant. Our job is to take you there."

Seeing their excitement, Jessica nodded, "Alright."

They arrived at the restaurant early; Vincent and Tina hadn't arrived yet.

A waiter knocked and entered the room.

"Is Ms. Morgan here?"

"I am."

"Ms. Morgan, this is for you. Someone asked me to give it to you."

"Thank you."

Jessica thanked the waiter and took the package but didn't open it.

Gilbert and Freddy grew anxious, "Mommy, why aren't you opening it?"

Seeing their eager and curious eyes, Jessica began to unwrap it.

Layer by layer, when she saw what was inside, her eyes suddenly welled up, and tears fell.

The gift was a hand-drawn picture of Gabriel.

Though not finely detailed and a bit rough, Jessica recognized Gabriel immediately.

Turning to Gilbert and Freddy, she pulled them into her arms, "Did you give this to me?"

"Mommy, we know you miss Daddy. Since we can't replace him, we thought we'd give you Daddy instead."

"Mommy, does seeing Daddy's picture make you feel better?"

Jessica nodded vigorously and said, "I'm sorry for neglecting you."

"You two are amazing. I should be the one apologizing."

Soon, Tina arrived.

But for some reason, Vincent hadn't arrived.

Moreover, Tina had called him several times, but no one answered.

After a while, all the dishes were served.

Then, Tina's phone rang.

Seeing it was Vincent, she quickly answered, "Vincent, where are you? We're waiting for you."

"Tina, listen to me. Today is Jessica's birthday. Don't wait for me. Have lunch and cut the cake with her. Make sure she has a happy birthday."

"After lunch, have someone take Freddy and Gilbert home. Wait for me at the hotel."

"I'll be there in two hours."

Tina was puzzled and was about to ask why, but the call ended.

Looking at Jessica, she said, "Jessica, Vincent seems to have something urgent. He said he'll be here in two hours and told us to eat and cut the cake first."

Jessica thought for a moment, "Alright, let's start. If he has a task, we shouldn't pressure him."

"Okay."

Tina helped Jessica light the candles, make a wish, and cut the cake.

After the cake, Charlotte took Freddy and Gilbert home.

Jessica felt curious, "Tina, do you have something to tell me? Why are you being so secretive?"

Tina nodded, "Jessica, it's not me, it's Vincent."

Then, Tina checked the time, "Vincent should be here any minute. Let's wait a bit."

As soon as Tina finished speaking, the door to the private room opened.

Vincent and Oscar stood at the door.

Seeing them together, Jessica was quite surprised.

"Vincent, you and Oscar, how come...?"

However, before Jessica could finish, Vincent's words shattered the silence.

"Jessica, we found Gabriel!"
