Chapter 69 Happy, Lesson for the Cheater 2

Grace saw the situation and rushed over in a swift movement.

However, before she could reach out her hand, someone else had already grabbed Rou's hand.

Since her hand was seized, Rou instinctively shouted, "Let go of me!"

"Rou, calm down."

Only when she heard Diana's voice did Rou calm down a bit.

She slowly released her hand and looked at Diana with confusion, "Diana, why is it you whodid you grabbed my hand?"

"Because I don't want you to make a mistake," Diana earnestly explained.

"What mistake can I makeis there? Xavier is no longer here, she has lost her support long ago, I can fight hertake her down," Rou argued.

Diana nodded, "Yes, but now is not the time to fight."

"Why not? Diana, why are you even helping her?" Rou stomped her foot in frustration.

Diana sighed deeply and then spoke, "Rou, you know about Gabriel's wedding, right?"

"I do, but what does it have to do with her?" Rou asked with confusion.

Halfway through the conversation, Rou froze, looking incredulously at Diana, and asked, "Could she be the wife that my brother Gabriel married?"

"Yes, it's her," Diana replied.

Upon hearing Diana's answer, Rou immediately felt a sense of despair. It was her, once again. This woman's influence had always been present, making it difficult to forget.

Why was she everywhere? And why was she involved in everything?

"Diana, this joke you're making is not funny at all. Please don't lie to me," Rou pleaded.

"Rou, I know it's hard for you to accept, but it's true," Diana reassured.

Jessica couldn't stand watching the two of them anymore.

"Grace, let's go," Jessica said.

Diana immediately grabbed her wrist and sat up in her wheelchair, glaring challengingly at Jessica with sharp eyes. "Wait, don't you want to know why I came here today?"

"I don't want to know. It has nothing to do with me," Jessica responded bluntly.

Smirking, Diana provocatively added, "I came here to pick out an engagement ring."

"Oh really? What kind of ring are you picking?" Jessica asked intentionally.

"Jessica, you're pretending, of course, it's an engagement ring," Diana retorted.

"Sounds great, congratulations to you, Diana," Jessica replied with a wide smile on her face.

Instantly, Diana clenched her hands, wishing she could tear off Jessica's hypocritical smile and reveal the painful and twisted expression beneath.

Jessica, I'm certain that you're pretending.

You must be pretending.

I've already said I'm getting married, and I don't believe you can remain so composed.

"Jessica, are you really clueless or just pretending to be? If I'm getting married, the groom can only be Gabriel. I don't believe you're not scared," Diana challenged.

Grace had been lazily standing by, listening all this while. She hadn't planned to intervene because she trusted Jessica's ability to handle things.

When they were young, they had encountered people and situations that were more difficult to deal with than this, but every time, they managed to resolve things.

However, Jessica was pregnant now, and they had been shopping for quite a while today. Grace didn't want Jessica to exert herself, so she decided to take action and quickly resolve this matter with the two nagging women.

She walked to the counter and gave some instructions to the staff.

Soon, they brought over a chair.

Grace walked over and led Jessica to sit on the chair to rest, while leaning down and saying, "Leave it to me. You have a baby in your belly and shouldn't be exerting yourself or getting angry."

"Okay," Jessica nodded.

She had complete trust in Grace, naturally.

Soon, Grace walked towardstoward Diana.

Diana was already sitting in a wheelchair, feeling inferior because of her shorter height, which had always been a source of pain for her.

Rou was also petite with no advantage in terms of height.

Being a former model, Grace naturally had a tall figure, not to mention her long and slender legs, which strongly attracted men strongly.

Wearing high-heeled shoes that were several centimeters tall and sunglasses, Grace confidently walked towardstoward Diana, then stopped beside her, looking down at her, and asked, "Are you, Diana?"

"I am Diana."

Knowing that she couldn't match Grace's confidence, Diana tried her best to remain calm.

"So, that's all?" Grace intentionally elongated her tone, raising her eyebrows slightly.

She squinted her eyes and pushed her sunglasses up her nose with her slender fingers. Suddenly, a laughter burst from her throat, "Gabriel's taste really surprised me. Instead of cherishing a beauty like our my Jessica, he actually prefers a disabled person with a lame leg."

Grace's words hit the mark, and Diana bit her lip, her face instantly becoming ugly.

When Jessica had ridiculed Diana before, out of her feelings for Gabriel, she had still been mindful of her words and hadn't been too harsh.

But Grace was different. She didn't need to give Diana any face at all.

"Who are you? You don't have to be so harsh with your words." Diana looked at her, her eyes filled with anger and restraint.

"It doesn't matter who I am." Grace shifted her gaze to Diana's leg, "Just saying what's true is considered harsh? I haven't even said anything harsher yet!"

"With your lame leg, I'm really curious about how you manage in your daily life. Can you still take care of yourself? Do you need a 24-hour caregiver? Considering your condition, can you even take care of a man like Gabriel?"

Diana clenched her fist, showing obvious signs of tension and anxiety.

She stared fiercely at Grace, her eyes bloodshot.

"Just so you know, with your legs being immobile like this, if you do end up marrying Gabriel, can you still fulfill your duty as a wife? Can you take good care of him?"

"Furthermore, do you still have the ability to have children? For Aa family like The Walton Family, do you think they would accept a woman who can't bear children? Would they accept being without heirs?"

Grace's words were profoundly hurtful and struck Diana hard.

It had to be said that her words were extremely sharp.

If Diana weren't desperately trying to suppress her emotions, she would have rushed forward and attacked Grace directly.

Grace watched Diana's pain and struggle, a smile playing on her lips. In the past, she would never have been able to say such cruel words no matter what.

This was all thanks to her recent role as a mistreated and bullied daughter-in-law in a drama, where she learned those words she just said to Diana from the character of her mother-in-law.

Unexpectedly, the lines from the drama came in handy. "Who do you think you are?" Diana gritted her teeth, staring at her. Those words were so vicious, they made her heart still bleed and ache terribly.

Naturally, Grace wouldn't answer her question. She turned around, about to walk towardstoward Jessica.

Suddenly, Rou rushed out from behind Diana, rudely and aggressively charging towardstoward Jessica, cursing as she went, "You cunning woman, Gabriel belongs to Diana, you can't take him away, I'll fight youtake you down for him."
