Chapter 779 I Miss You So Much
Susan was startled and was about to step forward to stop him.
Suddenly, Mark seemed to come to his senses and withdrew his hand.
But Mark's deeply affectionate gaze remained moving. "Grace, I don't want you to get hurt. If Quentin makes you sad, come to me. I'll stay with you until you're happy."
Knowing the harsh reality Grace would face when she returned, Mark's eyes were filled with worry and heartache.
The last thing he wanted was for Grace to get hurt.
But Quentin made Grace feel wronged.
"Mr. Stoll, I need to tidy up for Grace so she can sleep more comfortably," Susan continued.
"Alright."
This time, Mark was straightforward and got out of bed.
Just as Mark was about to leave, a loud ringing suddenly echoed in the room.
The ringing was quite loud, so Grace was startled awake.
The distinctive ringtone belonged to Quentin.
Grace reached out, groggily groping for her phone, and pressed the answer button. "Hello, Quentin, we finally got through!"
"It's been a week, this is the first time I've heard your voice. I miss you so much, do you miss me?"
Maybe it was because Grace was drunk, her expression of love was much more passionate and direct than usual.
Quentin frowned slightly, his tone becoming tense, "Have you been drinking?"
"Yes, we finished filming today, everyone was happy, and we drank a little. Don't worry, I was very obedient, really just a little bit!"
Hearing her soft voice, Quentin's heart melted, and he couldn't bear to blame her.
'Silly girl, saying you only drank a little, but your voice clearly shows you're quite drunk.' He thought.
"Is Susan with you? Taking care of you?"
At that moment, she needed someone reliable by her side, or he wouldn't be at ease.
"Yes, she's here!"
Grace kicked off her heavy high heels, turned over on the big bed, and suddenly pouted, looking unhappy.
"Why aren't you talking?" Quentin asked, "Did you fall asleep?"
"No, you didn't say you missed me, I'm mad."
"Silly girl." He couldn't help but chuckle, his enchanting voice coming through the phone word by word into her ear, "How could I not miss you?"
"How much?" Grace, like a spoiled little girl, insisted on an answer.
"Every day, every hour, every minute, every second, I miss you so much it hurts."
Although Grace was drunk, the smile on her face was like the most beautiful sunset, spreading instantly.
"Me too, I wish I could fly to you right now. After missing you for so many days, I'll finally see you tomorrow. Will you come to pick me up?"
"Of course, I'll be waiting for you at the airport."
"Okay." Sweetly responding, Grace hung up the phone.
After the call, she sobered up a bit.
But her head hurt terribly, so she rubbed her head and propped herself up in bed.
Suddenly meeting a pair of deep eyes, Grace was instantly shocked. "Mark, what are you doing here?"
"I brought you back. Staying for a glass of water isn't too much, is it?"
"What?" Grace scratched her head, looking annoyed, and thought, 'Drinking really causes trouble. Luckily, Quentin didn't know Mark was in my room during the call, or he might have overthought things.'
"I remember you helped me drink, thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
His tone was calm, showing no emotion.
"Since you're awake, I'll leave." Before getting up, he looked at Susan, "It's easy to get a headache after drinking. Remember to get her some hangover food, it will help a lot."
"Thank you, Mark," Grace said again.
Mark had already reached the door. Remembering the conversation he had just overheard between her and Quentin, he suddenly turned around, looking deeply at her. "Grace, it seems you really like Quentin!"
Some things could only be truly understood when seen with one's own eyes. Grace always appeared as an intellectual, elegant, noble, and cool goddess.
But the Grace who just talked to Quentin was not like that, no longer a goddess, but just an ordinary woman in love.
She was so gentle, and even more adorable and domineering when she acted spoiled.
So, she must really love Quentin to completely show her gentle side in front of him without any defenses.
The next day was the day to go back.
Since the flight was in the afternoon, Grace slept in.
After getting up, Grace changed her clothes, put on beautiful makeup, and after lunch, headed to the airport.
As the plane soared into the sky, looking at the blue sky and white clouds outside, she felt very excited.
After filming for so long, this was the first time she was so eager to go back.
The feeling of being awaited was really nice.
As soon as the plane landed, she immediately turned on her phone and dialed: [The plane has landed, I'll be out soon.]
[Okay, I'm waiting for you.]
[Alright!]
Grace bit her lip, feeling she couldn't wait any longer, wanting to rush into his arms.
Walking through the long passage, at the arrival gate, when Grace finally saw that familiar figure, her eyes instantly turned red.
After a month of not seeing him, Grace missed him so much.
At that moment, it seemed like everyone around her disappeared. In the vast airport, her eyes and heart were filled with only him.
Quentin's tall figure, handsome face, and faint smile.
Everything was so familiar.
"Quentin!"
She called softly, wearing sunglasses, and ran straight into his arms.
With such a strong impact, an ordinary person might not have been able to catch her and would have stepped back, but Quentin held her tightly, catching her fully.
"Willie's waiting outside, let's go to the car."
"Okay." She nodded.
Their hands intertwined, they walked through the airport and got into the car.
In the car, without the previous concerns, Quentin grabbed her wrist with one hand, pulled her onto his lap.
Quentin's long arms wrapped around her waist, holding her intimately.
"Don't you have something to say to me?" Grace deliberately raised her tone, asking softly.
He kissed her hair. "Yes, a lot."
Then, Quentin glanced at the front seat. "Willie's here, it's not appropriate. I'll tell you everything when we get home, okay?"
But Grace held his face, her clear eyes filled with tender affection.
"But Quentin, this time I don't want to wait."
"I want to tell you right now, I've never missed someone so much. These days, when I'm filming, I'm thinking of you, when I'm eating, I'm thinking of you, when I'm sleeping, I'm thinking of you. My mind is full of you."
"Once I left you, I realized how seriously I was lovesick."
