Chapter 794 Crazy Jealousy 1
Grace was taken aback for a moment, but she quickly recovered.
She immediately nodded, "Yes, of course, why not?"
She wasn't the one who did something wrong, nor was she the one at fault. Why should she feel guilty?
"Hello!" Grace picked up the phone and coldly responded.
"Still mad at me?"
Quentin's voice was so gentle, as if they were in the honeymoon phase.
That kind of pampering almost gave Grace the illusion that she was the one at fault, that she was being unreasonable.
"Quentin, you really have a sense of superiority; otherwise, how could you be so shameless?"
"We broke up a long time ago, we have no relationship now, whether I'm mad or not has nothing to do with you."
She was so angry that she momentarily forgot she had been drinking.
Although she didn't know if she could handle the consequences, it felt great to lash out at that moment.
"You've been drinking?"
Quentin's ears were really sharp; he guessed it just from a few words she said.
"I'll say it again, it's none of your business."
"Really?" Quentin sneered, his voice suddenly tinged with a layer of coldness.
Then he continued, "Who are you drinking with? Is it Mark?"
"You should go back to the hospital and rest. It's late, and you're out drinking. Is this how Mark takes care of you?"
Grace held her phone, not wanting to respond to Quentin.
The atmosphere on the phone suddenly became suffocating, and for a while, there was only the sound of Quentin and Grace breathing.
Finally, Grace couldn't take it anymore: "If there's nothing else, I'm hanging up."
"And by the way, you have a fiancée now. It's best not to call other women randomly, especially at night. It's easy to cause misunderstandings."
"Grace, you..."
Quentin was almost driven mad by her.
Before he could finish his sentence, Grace hung up the phone.
As soon as she hung up, her phone rang again.
Grace didn't need to look to know it was Quentin calling.
She pursed her lips, letting the sea breeze blow her hair, and walked unsteadily forward.
As for the constantly vibrating and ringing phone, she completely ignored it.
Quentin called five times in a row, but no one answered.
"Alright, Grace, you're getting bolder."
Furious, he gritted his teeth and called Willie, "Get the car ready for me."
Even though it was the night and Willie was sleeping soundly, he didn't dare disobey Quentin's orders.
Without a word, Willie quickly got to work.
"Mr. Taft, I've already spoken to Greg. He's waiting for you in the underground parking lot."
"Okay!"
After getting in the car, Quentin headed straight for the hospital.
He was seething with anger, his expression darkening. The thought that Grace hung up on him because of Mark made him particularly upset and jealous.
So when he saw the ward, he immediately pushed the door open.
At the same time, he called out softly, "Why didn't you answer my calls?"
However, before he could finish his sentence, he stopped abruptly when he saw the people in the room.
What was going on?
In the ward, a couple who had been kissing passionately immediately stopped and looked over, both of them bewildered.
"Who are you?"
Then the man holding the woman couldn't help but explode.
"Get out, are you crazy!" The man was furious.
Quentin had never been scolded like this before, but this time he was at fault for interrupting their moment.
If it were him, he would be angry too.
"Sorry, please continue!"
So, Quentin rarely apologized and quickly left the room.
He took a deep breath and sent Grace a message: [You haven't returned to the hospital yet?]
Grace had just returned to the hotel, taken a shower, and was about to sleep when she received his message.
[I can go wherever I want, it's none of your business.]
After replying, she felt very unsettled.
She simply picked up her phone and blocked him.
This way, she wouldn't receive any more messages from him, and she could use the slight buzz from the alcohol to get some sleep.
These days, she hadn't had a good night's sleep.
[Did you go to Mark's place?] Quentin sent another message.
The thought of Grace possibly being with Mark drove Quentin crazy; he couldn't stand it.
Previously, because she was recovering in the hospital, Quentin didn't want to upset her, so he didn't force her to come home.
But now it was different. If she went to Mark's place, it meant that Grace and Mark would not only be together during the day but also share a space at night.
They were single adults, and it was Mark's home.
Moreover, Mark liked Grace. How could Quentin be at ease?
As a result, Quentin never imagined that the message he sent would show as undelivered.
Quentin was shocked.
He didn't believe it and sent a few more messages, but without exception.
That night, Quentin's anger never subsided.
After blocking him on Facebook, Grace also deleted the missed call notifications.
Not seeing his name made her feel much better; at least she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.
She turned off the light and was about to sleep when her phone started ringing again.
She opened it to see photos Mark had taken of her during the day.
Mark's photography skills were excellent; almost every photo looked like a professional shoot, very beautiful.
Grace saved each one to her phone album.
Then she opened Facebook and posted a few of the best photos.
The caption read: [First time diving, it felt amazing. The underwater world is so beautiful. PS: Thanks to Mr. Stoll for the thoughtful and careful guidance.]
Since her Facebook friends were all trustworthy people, she didn't hide Mark's identity.
Besides, she and Mark were just friends. She had nothing to hide.
On the other side, Mark was so excited after seeing the post that he couldn't sleep for a long time.
The next day.
When Willie arrived at the office, he first made Quentin's coffee according to his taste and placed it on his desk.
Then, before officially starting work, he quickly checked his phone.
When he saw Grace's post, he couldn't stay calm.
'Oh my god! Grace's personality was really stubborn; she dared to post anything. If Quentin saw this post, the entire company would be in trouble. And it was posted last night. Quentin must have already seen it!' Willie thought to himself.
