Chapter 792 Forgetting 1

Quentin clenched his fists, his eyes almost spitting fire.

These days, he hadn't had a single happy or satisfying day.

He originally thought Grace felt the same, but he didn't expect her to be so happy with Mark.

He was jealous.

He couldn't control himself anymore. His slender fingers were on the doorknob, and he was about to push the door open.

Suddenly, Mark pushed the door open before Quentin could.

In an instant, their eyes met, and intense sparks flew between them.

Grace had her back to the door, so she didn't notice Quentin.

But Susan saw him, and she was nervous, afraid that Mark and Quentin would start fighting.

"Susan, what's wrong?" Grace asked softly when she saw Susan looking distracted.

"Nothing, just spaced out for a bit. Grace, let's continue eating hot pot."

In the hallway, Mark and Quentin leaned against the white walls of the hospital simultaneously.

Each leaned on one side, as if not disturbing the other.

But the atmosphere between them was heavy and oppressive.

Mark took out a cigarette, lazily holding it in his mouth with a bit of a rogue attitude.

He reached for his lighter, and a bright flame suddenly flared up.

Just as he was about to light his cigarette, his gaze fell on Quentin's expression. He extinguished the lighter and smiled, "Want one?"

"Toss it over!"

Quentin responded coldly.

Mark's lips curled slightly with the cigarette in his mouth. He took out the pack and tossed one to Quentin.

"Lighter!" Quentin glanced over, his gaze icy.

"You're really hard to please!"

Mark complained bitterly and tossed the lighter over.

With a click, the flame flared up again.

Quentin lit his cigarette and leaned back against the wall, elegantly taking a puff.

This time, they seemed to have an unspoken agreement. They were both very composed, with no signs of wanting to fight.

"Mark, what exactly do you want?" Quentin asked through the haze of smoke.

"I should be asking you that. What do you want?"

Hearing Mark's retort, Quentin surprisingly didn't get angry. Instead, he flicked the ash from his cigarette and responded calmly, "Name your price, as long as you leave her."

Mark couldn't help but laugh. "Do you think it's my presence that's stopping her from coming back to you?"

"Quentin, it seems you still don't know why Grace left you. Think about it, it's quite pathetic."

Throwing away his cigarette butt, Quentin's cold gaze fell on Mark, "Even if it's not, you're one of the obstacles. I won't allow any obstacles to exist."

Since Quentin was determined to bring her back to his side, he had to eliminate all factors around her, leaving no future troubles.

Mark crossed his arms and sneered at him, "Naive. Do you think you can eliminate all obstacles?"

"Just wait and see!"

Quentin looked at him, exuding confidence.

"Also, let me give you a kind reminder. I refrain from intervening with you, not out of fear of the Powell family or Kenneth. If you think that, you're gravely mistaken."

"The Powell family is indeed powerful, but if I wanted to act, I could do so at any time. I advise you not to test my limits."

"The reason I'm not acting is that I don't want to shed blood in front of her."

With that, Quentin turned and walked away.

"Wait!" Mark suddenly called out, "Do you know why Grace is in the hospital today?"

Quentin frowned, displeased.

"Because Grace had a high fever and fell unconscious. If you only use these coercive methods, you'll never win her heart."

"Grace hates nothing more than ruining other people's marriages. Unless you break off your engagement with Caroline, Grace will never come back to you."

"I advise you not to be too extreme, or you'll be pushing Grace into a corner, and you'll be the one to regret it."

"I've said all I need to say."

When Mark pushed open the ward door again, he had already concealed the coldness he had just exuded.

"Why were you out so long? Come and eat!" Grace offered him some food.

After staying in the hospital for another day, Grace thought she could sleep for a night and be discharged in the morning.

When she woke up, she felt the strong sunlight.

She must have overslept.

Thinking this, she immediately opened her eyes.

But when she saw the beautiful scenery outside the window, she was stunned.

The sky, the clouds!

So close, she must be dreaming!

Rubbing her eyes, she got up. When she heard a loud noise and looked out the window again, she finally believed she was on a plane.

"Grace, is it beautiful?"

Mark walked over, his pleasant voice ringing out.

Grace looked at him in surprise. "Why are we on a plane?"

"You were sleeping soundly last night, so I had Susan pack your things and carry you on board."

"Where are you taking me?"

"On a vacation to relax!"

"How can that be?" Grace instinctively wanted to refuse.

His current status was different. If someone found out and rumors of a romance spread, it would have a huge impact.

If his fans discovered that, many might stop being his fans.

If business partners pursued the matter, he might face huge compensation.

He had already helped her enough. How could she bear to drag him down further?

She had planned to leave when she was discharged today, but he had taken her on a plane while she was asleep.

"Grace, don't worry. I've arranged everything."

"How did you arrange it?"

Mark explained, "Do you remember my stand-in? We look very similar. I've already talked to him. If we're photographed, he'll come forward to clarify."

"In return, I'll introduce him to some quality resources."

Grace nodded, "That's indeed a good plan."

But what about Quentin?

Would Quentin really let them go?

Seeing her looking glum, Mark smiled, "Alright, Grace, since we're already here, let me take you on a good trip."

"Life is short. If we spend it all being sad and worried, it's not worth it."

"I know you're worried about Quentin. Don't worry, no matter how capable he is, he can't control everything. As long as we leave his territory, even if he finds out and catches up, we'll already be somewhere else."

Outside the window, white clouds floated, and beautiful rays of light broke through the clouds.

Everything before her was stunningly beautiful.

Grace couldn't help but marvel.

"Yes, Mark, you're right. Why not enjoy the moment?"

As for the future, no one knew.

After a few hours of flying, Mark's plane finally landed on an island.
