Chapter 332 Who Said I Wasn't Looking Forward to It?

Jessica couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Seriously? Who rubs their belly for morning sickness? It's not like rubbing my belly will make the nausea go away. Plus, what if you end up rubbing the babies?"

Gabriel, looking a bit put out, replied, "I asked the doctor. They're still tiny, not even the size of a grape. I can't rub them."

Jessica chuckled again, "You actually know that?"

"Yeah, I downloaded a pregnancy app. It tells me how big the baby is at different stages. I check it whenever I get a chance."

Jessica was genuinely surprised, not expecting him to be so attentive.

Gabriel then lay down, placing his head on her belly, and said seriously while rubbing it, "Listen up, you two. Your mom's feeling really uncomfortable because of you. She can't eat or sleep well. You better behave. If you don't, I'll deal with you when you come out."

Jessica looked at his serious face, feeling a warm, indescribable emotion in her heart.

Gabriel leaned in closer, his voice softening as he continued to rub her belly. "Did you hear me? Be good in there, and let's see who behaves the best!"

Wait, two? Jessica finally caught the key point. "Gabriel, you know?" she asked, shocked.

"What do I know?" he said, playing dumb.

"That I'm having twins?"

Seeing her come clean, he nodded. "Yeah, if the doctor hadn't told me, how long were you planning to keep it from me? Or were you never going to tell me?"

"No." Jessica shook her head quickly. "I wanted to tell you yesterday, but when I saw you, I didn't know how to start."

"Why didn't you know how to start?"

"I was afraid you wouldn't be excited about them, and I didn't want them to feel unwanted by their dad." After Jessica finished speaking, the room fell silent, the air becoming thick and heavy.

"Who said I wasn't excited?" Gabriel suddenly said.

Jessica looked up, staring at him in shock. "You're not lying to me? You're really happy?"

Gabriel's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Absolutely. If they're two boys, I'll teach them to ride and shoot, raise them to be little gentlemen, and they can take over the company when they grow up. If they're two girls, even better. They'll have your big, beautiful eyes, and they'll be stunning. Finding boyfriends will be the least of their worries."

Listening to him, Jessica couldn't help but laugh. "You're thinking way ahead."

"Of course. But I still hope it's a boy and a girl, that way we get both."

Jessica smiled and nodded. "I hope it's a boy and a girl too."

After chatting for a while, her stomach started growling again.

Even though she'd tried to eat several times without success, thinking of the babies, Jessica forced herself to eat.

"If you don't want to eat, don't force yourself," Gabriel said, thinking about how badly she'd just vomited, feeling incredibly worried.

Jessica shook her head firmly. "No, I still need to eat something. The doctor said no matter how bad the vomiting is, I have to eat, otherwise the babies won't get any nutrition."

Having twins already raised concerns about nutrition. If they didn't get enough from the start, it would be even more worrying as the pregnancy progressed.

Gabriel said, "Tell me what you want to eat, and I'll have someone bring some hot food."

"No need, I'll just have some porridge. The other foods smell too strong, I can't handle them." In the end, Jessica managed to eat two bowls of porridge.

But as soon as she finished and put down the spoon, she dashed to the bathroom to throw up again.

When she came out, Gabriel suddenly opened his palm.

Seeing the various refreshing plums in his hand, Jessica felt a warm sensation in her heart. "Where did you get these? How did you know they'd help?"

"I asked the doctor and checked online with other pregnant women. They left comments about it," he replied.

"There are so many kinds in the supermarket. I didn't know which flavor you'd like, so I bought a little of each. Try them and see which one you like." He popped one into Jessica's mouth.

Soon, a sweet and sour taste spread in her mouth. The sour taste, in particular, made Jessica feel much better immediately.

"How is it?" Gabriel asked nervously, watching her eat.

"Why are you more nervous than I am?" Jessica laughed.

"I'm just worried about taking good care of you." After a moment of silence, he suddenly looked at Jessica and said seriously, "Jessica, I want to discuss something with you."

"What is it?"

"After a while, let's go abroad together and never come back, okay?"

"Go abroad?" Jessica was surprised by the suggestion. "Why do you suddenly want to go abroad? Your parents are here, and your company is here. Can we just leave like that?"

"I can take my mom with us. As for the company, it doesn't matter where it is. We just need to move the headquarters. It'll take some effort, but it's not hard to solve."

"But I've lived here for decades. I'm used to it. I don't really like the idea of going abroad," Jessica said.

Gabriel hugged her, his voice suddenly low. "Jessica, you don't know how scared I am."

"Scared of what?" Jessica asked.

He didn't answer. Looking at his expression, Jessica suddenly guessed the reason. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at him.

She couldn't hold back anymore and laughed self-deprecatingly. "Gabriel, in the end, you never trusted me. You still think this baby is Jack's, right?"

"You're afraid I'll love the babies too much and that when they want to find their father, I'll leave you and marry Jack, right?"

"Gabriel, you really disappoint me."

After saying this, Jessica turned around. She didn't want to talk to Gabriel anymore, feeling a wave of sadness and misery in her heart and suddenly finding everything just now to be extremely ridiculous.

"Jessica." Gabriel put his hand on her shoulder, calling her name.

Jessica immediately moved away. "Go away; I don't want to see you."

Gabriel didn't move, still standing there.

Jessica, unable to contain her anger, put on her shoes and quickly walked out. "Fine, if you won't leave, I will." With that, she took the elevator down.

Gabriel tried to follow her, but the elevator was too crowded.

Jessica, being petite, squeezed in easily, but Gabriel, being tall, couldn't get in. So, they ended up taking different elevators.

As soon as Jessica reached the hospital entrance, two people approached her, grabbing her arms from both sides. "Dr. Morgan, Mrs. Smith needs to see you. Please come with us."
