When Gilbert and Freddy got home, Gabriel and Jessica hadn't returned yet.
"Dad is so unfair, how could he take Mom away!" Gilbert pouted angrily.
Freddy immediately said, "Gilbert, quickly grab Grandma's phone and play a video call to Mom. Let's get her back. Dad has monopolized her all day."

"Mommy!"

"Alright, let me ask you, have you met any pretty girls in preschool?"

"Then do you want a pretty little sister to protect as big brothers?"

"But what's the point of wanting? We don't have a sister." Gilbert said, clear-headed.
Gabriel immediately took the opportunity, "Then be good and let your mom spend more time with me. I'll work hard to give you a little sister, okay?"
"Really?" Freddy's eyes lit up, blinking like stars, "Dad, do you promise?"
"Of course, I want a daughter too. I wouldn't lie to you."
"Can you give us a little sister?" Gilbert tilted his head with skepticism.

"Alright, then you need to let your mom spend more time with me so your sister can come out sooner to meet you. Can you do that?"
"Yes!"
"Are you still going to insist on your mom coming home?"

"If your mom asks later, do you know what to say?"
"Yes."
"Are you still going to complain to Grandma?"
"No."

Gabriel handed the phone to Jessica. "They want to talk to you."
