Chapter 785 The Cruelty of Truth 2

At that moment, the waiter came over and handed the menu. "Miss, what would you like to order?"

Grace's gaze lingered on the spirits section for a while, and she pointed with her slender finger, "This one."

The waiter was a bit surprised, "Miss, are you sure?"

Grace propped her fair arm on her chin, slightly unhappy, raising her eyebrow, "What? You don't sell it?"

"No, Miss, you misunderstood. This drink has a very high alcohol content. I'm worried you might get drunk since you're alone."

"Just do it. I want this one."

The reason she walked in here was to get drunk.

Soon, the waiter brought over a very attractive drink, a beautiful glass with a transparent color mixed with a faint blue, looking incredibly pretty.

"So beautiful!" she murmured as she looked at it.

Is such a beautiful drink really a spirit?

She smiled, tilted her head back, and took a big gulp.

As the spicy taste slid down her throat, she instantly closed her eyes, coughing wildly.

She felt terrible, her throat felt like it was on fire, and then her stomach, burning hot.

So this was what spirits tasted like.

Half-squinting her eyes, she sat there in a daze, no longer drinking, but instead looking at the men and women twisting on the dance floor.

The bright lights and loud music seemed to really help forget a lot of troubles.

Without thinking further, she got up and walked onto the dance floor, moving her body freely to the rhythm.

With the dazzling lights and explosive music, at that moment, she didn't need to think about anything, just dance to the rhythm.

After a few songs, she walked off the dance floor, panting heavily.

Then she walked somewhat dizzily back to her previous spot.

Waving her hand, she called the waiter, "Bring the menu."

She ordered a cocktail, and its appearance amazed her again when it arrived.

She took a small sip. It tasted pretty good, not at all like the spicy, hard-to-swallow drink from before.

In just a few minutes, the cocktail was finished.

She ordered a second, and then a third.

She drank quickly, so she got dizzy quickly too.

Before long, she felt a sense of dizziness, groggy.

But she was surprised to find that her heart didn't feel as bad anymore.

Since entering this bar, Quentin's name hadn't left her mind.

He was like a ghost, following her everywhere, spinning crazily in her mind, impossible to get rid of.

But now it was different, after getting drunk, it seemed she could really forget a lot!

Not sure how many drinks she had, she hazily called Jessica.

"Hey, Jessica, can you help me? I need to leave that bastard Quentin, he deceived my feelings."

"He's abandoning me, he's going to marry another woman, I feel so terrible, what should I do?"

The tears she had been holding back for so long could no longer be contained and flowed down.

In the end, her tears flowed more and more, instantly soaking her arm and clothes.

She was like a crying doll, sobbing almost to the point of being unable to breathe, extremely heartbroken.

"Grace, where are you?"

"Send me the address right away, I'll come find you," Jessica said anxiously.

From her voice, Jessica could tell Grace was very drunk, and Grace said Quentin was going to marry another woman.

If that were true, Grace would be heartbroken.

"Honey, I need to go out for a bit, you take care of the three kids tonight."

Without waiting for Gabriel to react, Jessica quickly put on her coat and left.

Just getting in the car, Jessica called, "Grace, pull yourself together and send me the address on Facebook."

"Okay."

Grace, with the last bit of consciousness, fumbled with her phone, luckily managing to send the address.

With the address in hand, Jessica told the driver to speed over.

Arriving at the bar, Jessica rushed in, looking around.

Finally, Jessica found Grace in a corner.

"Grace, wake up, wake up."

When Jessica reached the table, Grace was already slumped over it.

Hearing the voice, Grace slightly lifted her head, half-squinting her eyes, smiling at Jessica, "Jessica, you're here! Great, sit down and have a drink with me, will you?"

"Grace, you've had a lot already, you can't drink anymore," Jessica advised.

Grace shook her head indifferently, "No, I'm not drunk, I want to drink more."

"Jessica, stay with me, let me drink a little more!"

Jessica walked over and hugged her, gently wiping the tears from her face, "Grace, what happened? Tell me, okay?"

Hearing this, Grace couldn't hold back anymore and suddenly started crying.

She reached out and hugged Jessica tightly, "Jessica, I feel so terrible, you know? Quentin won't marry me anymore, he's going to marry Caroline, they're getting married next month."

This time, Jessica heard clearly what Grace said, but she could hardly believe it, her eyes wide open.

"Grace, are you sure? Wasn't Quentin supposed to marry you? When did it become Caroline?"

"No, he changed his mind. The media even released the announcement, everyone knows, only I was foolishly waiting for him to marry me, I'm the biggest joke in the world. I asked him to let me go, and he said he would divorce Caroline in a year and then marry me."

"How could he do this to me?"

Grace cried almost to the point of being unable to breathe, her eyes red and swollen, looking terrifying.

Jessica suddenly froze there, unable to say a word of comfort.

What could Jessica say to comfort her?

Not long ago, Grace was happy, finally getting a good result, and about to marry Quentin.

But now, Quentin was about to marry Caroline.

One can imagine how heartbroken Grace must be.

"Alright, Grace, whatever you want to do today, I'll stay with you."

"You want to drink, right? Okay, I'll drink with you."

Jessica sat down opposite Grace, called the waiter, and ordered more drinks.

At that moment, besides drinking, Jessica found she couldn't do anything else for her, so tonight, Jessica would stay with her.

In the end, both of them were completely drunk.

Grace's phone ran out of battery, and Jessica's phone was on silent, so they didn't receive any calls.

The two of them slumped over the table, heads in their arms, Grace crying with her eyes closed.

Jessica could only keep wiping her tears over and over again.

But no matter how much Jessica wiped, Grace's tears kept flowing.

Quentin wanted Grace to calm down, so he didn't look for her all afternoon. Unexpectedly, when he got back, the servant hurriedly ran over, anxiously reporting, "Mr. Taft, something's wrong. Ms. Stewart came today, and Ms. Morgan hasn't come back yet!"

"What did you say?"

Quentin's sharp eyes shot over, his whole body so cold it could almost freeze the servant.
