Chapter 106 Jessica Interrogated
"Hey, since you've handed all these things over to me, it means that I can handle them freely, right? “Jessica asked seriously. Jonah nodded solemnly. "Yes, let you handle it."
Hearing this, Jessica felt very relieved. "Dad, have you shown these photos to Gabriel?"
"Not yet."
"Since he hasn't seen them, I hope he never does." Following this, Jessica picked up one corner of the photo with one hand and pinched the other corner with the other hand. Soon, the photo in her hand broke into two halves.
"Jessica, have you thought this through? This might be the only leverage we can give you. Do you really want to destroy it?"
"Dad, thank you for your reminder. I have thought it through." Jessica also tore the remaining photos in half, then into several pieces.
"Dad, thank you and Mom for your good intentions," Jessica said, looking up at Jonah as all the photos broke into fragments. I know you're doing this for my own good."
"However, I don't want to my marriage with Gabriel in such a shameful manner. If we have feelings, I don't need to resort to this method. It's meaningless if we don't have feelings, even if I tie him to me in this way."
"A loveless marriage is just stagnant water. If one day we truly break apart, I think parting ways would be the best outcome."
Jonah resonated with these words. He also knew that a loveless marriage is indeed like stagnant water, just like his relationship with Danielle.
"Well, since you put it that way, I won't force you. But we still hope that you two can be happy together."
"Dad, rest assured, I will do my best." After leaving the Walton family, Jessica unexpectedly saw Rou.
This time, Rou seemed much gentler than before, without any sarcasm toward her. Jessica speculated that without the support of the Walton family, Rou and her mother would have to live a difficult life. Otherwise, she wouldn't be so gentle towards her, and she even greeted her proactively.
Jessica's guess was correct. Rou came to the Walton family this time, hoping that Jonah, considering the blood ties with him, would offer some help to her and her mother.
These days, she and her mother have been living in poverty, especially after running out of money. Their situation became even more destitute.
However, Rou didn't get the desired outcome and was instead frustrated.
So, as she left Jonah's Study Room Lane, she gritted her teeth, filled with resentment.
"Jessica, it's all because of you. If it weren't for you, I would still be the esteemed young lady of the Walton family. Everything is because of you, and I won't let you off easily."
At that moment, the servant beside her dumped the cleaned garbage from Study Room Lane into the trash can. Rou casually glanced around and suddenly widened her eyes. If she wasn't mistaken, the person in the photo was Diana.
Strange? How could Diana's photo be here? After the servant left, Rou looked around and immediately picked up the photo like a thief.
She then secretly left from the Walton family. Upon returning home and assembling all the photos, Rou was shocked and promptly contacted Diana. "Diana, I have several photos of you abroad here."
"What? Abroad?" The mention of being abroad made Diana visibly uneasy.
Life abroad was something she desperately wanted to get rid of.
"Send me the photos." Diana demanded it immediately.
"Alright, I'll send them to your Facebook." When Diana saw the photos on Facebook, she was utterly shocked, almost losing her composure.
Jessica was truly capable of obtaining even these photos. Jessica claimed she wasn't competing with her for Gabriel, but it seemed she had been planning this for years.
Otherwise, how could she have these photos? She completely subverted Diana's perception.
On the surface, she appeared gentle and lovely, but she turned out to be so malicious. She thought, 'Jessica, since you're heartless, don't blame me for being ruthless.'
"Rou, are you still on my side?" "Of course, Diana. Otherwise, I wouldn't have sent you these photos."
"Good, now do as I say. Send these photos to the media. Leak them all."
Hearing Diana's words, Rou was simply incredulous. "What? Diana, are you out of your mind? If the media finds out, Gabriel will know everything. Can you still be together?"
"I want him to know, Rou. There's a saying, 'There is no way out but to go all out.' I have no way out now. Only by doing this can I have a glimmer of hope."
"Diana, are you sure you want to do this?" Rou still hesitated a bit.
"Send them now." Diana's eyes were filled with determination and ruthlessness.
"Rest assured, this time, I will make Gabriel personally come to fetch me." "Since Jessica wants to ruin me, I will make her completely lose Gabriel this time."
Seeing Diana so confident and brimming with confidence, Rou also mustered up her courage. "Alright, I'll go right away."
Jessica returned home after leaving the Walton family. She was now over three months pregnant.
Lately, she had been more inclined to sleep, so she rested after lunch.
In her dreams, she didn't sleep soundly, always feeling a terrifying ghostly presence chasing her.
She was scared, running and fleeing incessantly. Suddenly, a loud noise at the door startled Jessica.
When she saw Gabriel return, a smile appeared in the corner of her eyes as she got up. However, as she walked in and saw the expression on Gabriel's face, she froze abruptly.
He exuded a terrifying aura all over. His presence was as cold as ice, his brows furrowed tightly, and lips pressed together. He stood there in silence. Although he didn't say a word, an intimidating air enveloped him entirely. "Gabriel, what's wrong?"
Jessica asked. Gabriel's cold gaze stared at her, still silent.
"Did something happen at the company? Speak. Don't scare me." Jessica reached out to hold his hand.
However, at the moment when her hand was about to touch his, Gabriel abruptly pulled away. His strength caught Jessica off guard, causing her to stumble. She looked up, calling out to him in confusion, "Gabriel."
Seeing him ignore her, Jessica softened her voice and said, "Darling, don't scare me. What's wrong with you?"
"I'm fine," Gabriel said.
Jessica was about to exhale in relief when Gabriel's voice echoed once more "But Diana is not fine. She almost died."
"What? How did this happen?" Before she could finish her sentence, he grabbed Jessica's arm tightly and asked, "Do you dare say you didn't anticipate all of this?"
"What do you mean? How could I have known about Diana's situation?"
