Chapter 739 Romance Under the Moonlight 2

Quentin tossed the keys to Willie, "You drive the car back!"

"Yes, Mr. Taft."

Even though Willie was driving Quentin's luxury car, Quentin and Grace were walking.

But as Willie watched the two disappear into the distance, feeling abandoned, he could only sigh and sigh again.

He thought throwing himself into work would make things better, but it didn't!

After work, when everyone clocked out, Quentin had his beautifully dressed girlfriend come to pick him up, warm and romantic.

And Willie had nothing.

He was constantly being shown love.

Next month, he definitely had to bring up the topic of a raise with Quentin. Besides being physically exhausted from work, he was also mentally tormented.

This led to Willie dreaming at night that the country had assigned him a girlfriend.

The night wind was a bit chilly.

But with Quentin's big hand holding hers, Grace felt warm all over.

Grace felt extremely happy.

Under the orange-yellow streetlights, their shadows stretched long.

Especially their hands held together, sweet and warm.

Grace pointed with her finger, "Look."

Quentin held her hand tighter, "Even the streetlights are blessing us!"

While waiting for the pedestrian light to turn green, Quentin thought of a question.

"Why did you come to pick me up from work yourself?"

"Aren't you afraid of being discovered now?"

Just after the video ended, Grace was worried about her identity being exposed.

She hugged his waist, burying her head in his chest and laughing freely.

"Not afraid."

"Why?"

"Because I'm your girlfriend now. If any of your company's employees dare to expose us, I'll fire them all."

She spoke with a very domineering tone.

"What about the media?"

"Then use your power to shut them all down."

Quentin chuckled lightly, bringing her hand to his lips and kissing it repeatedly.

He spoke with a deepening smile, "My girlfriend has quite the attitude."

"You said I'm your girlfriend, so how could I not have a big attitude to match your status?" She raised an eyebrow.

Quentin smiled indulgently.

Just then, the pedestrian light turned green, and he immediately held her hand, running across quickly.

After walking for about ten minutes, they arrived at a barbecue restaurant.

The place was large, with plenty of space outside.

Because the wind was a bit strong, there weren't many people.

At times like this, it was perfect for a public figure like her to enjoy food outside without easily being recognized.

But to be safe, she wore a scarf and sunglasses.

Quentin, afraid she wouldn't get enough to eat, ordered a table full of food.

"Do I eat that much? You ordered so much food!" Grace propped her head on her hand, smiling at him.

"I'm hungry too. Whatever you can't finish, I'll eat." He replied.

"Don't you dislike eating this kind of food? I thought you'd hesitate before agreeing, or accompany me here and then go home to eat something else."

Quentin snorted proudly.

"If Mark can eat hotpot with you, I can eat barbecue with you."

"I won't lose to him."

Grace looked at him with a smile, her eyes curved, "You're jealous of him!"

"Of course, as long as Mark isn't married, I can't let my guard down."

As they chatted, the barbecue was soon served.

Grace was very happy eating.

Quentin, on the other hand, had a bit of difficulty.

He picked up a lamb skewer, examining it carefully from all angles, but felt at a loss.

"The flavor is too strong, too much seasoning." He frowned.

Grace watched his troubled expression.

Seeing him in his elegant long coat, looking handsome and dashing, she suddenly had a mischievous thought.

She suddenly felt like teasing him.

"Quentin." She called out.

"What's up?"

"Quentin!" She called again.

"Yes..."

Before Quentin could finish his sentence, the lamb skewer was placed in his mouth.

Instantly, the rich meat flavor spread in his mouth.

The seasoning's taste was also strong and pervasive.

"Chew it and see!" Grace looked at him.

Quentin opened his lips, trying hard to chew a few times.

"How is it? Isn't the flavor great? Not as bad as you thought, right?" Grace looked at him expectantly.

"The flavor is indeed good, the meat is rich and fragrant, but the cooking time wasn't handled well; the meat is a bit tough, not tender enough."

"You've eaten too much steak, commenting so professionally. The owner would probably be sad if they heard you."

"What's there to be sad about?"

"You're using steak standards to judge barbecue, who can withstand that! Besides, different foods have different characteristics and flavors, that's what makes each food unique!"

Quentin picked up another lamb skewer, nodding, "You have a point."

"But if they could improve their technique and hygiene, wouldn't it be even better?"

Grace nodded, "Of course, but such changes would take a long time to achieve."

Quentin raised an eyebrow, "Not necessarily."

"What do you mean?"

After asking, she continued to eat heartily without thinking much of it.

After eating the second lamb skewer, Quentin seemed less resistant, as if he had started to appreciate the beauty of barbecue.

Grace quickly picked out a few of her favorite types, neatly placing them in front of him.

"I love them the most. Quentin, you have to try them."

Grace enthusiastically handed over the crispy cartilage she was holding. Quentin took it, glanced at it, and put it in his mouth.

The two were eating happily.

No one knew that this scene was being watched by Ruby.

Ruby's car was parked by the roadside, the window open, her eyes almost unblinkingly locked on the two figures by the road.

Grace actually brought Quentin to eat barbecue!

More importantly, Quentin accepted it!

This made Ruby amazed.

Grace really came from a humble background, with no redeeming qualities.

Ruby's choice was right; only Caroline was the right match for Quentin.

Clenching her fists, Ruby's cold gaze fixed intently.

"Mrs. Taft, should we call Mr. Taft over?" the assistant beside her asked.

"No need."

After what seemed like a long time, Ruby rolled up the window and said softly, "Let's go!"

'Grace, don't get too complacent. I'm just too disdainful to deal with you and don't make a move right now. But remember, the happier you are now, the more I'll make you suffer.' Ruby thought.

After finishing the barbecue, Quentin checked the time on his watch.

A little past nine, not too late.

"Come on, I'll take you somewhere."

With that, he held Grace's hand and started running forward.
