Chapter 556 Farewell 1
Francis smiled gently.
Then he picked up a bite and offered it to her. "If you like it, have some more."
"Okay." Jessica smiled happily and picked up a piece for him. "You should eat too."
Jessica enjoyed the meal very much.
She kept talking, with a visible smile on her face.
Francis mostly ate and listened in silence, chiming in with a word or two now and then.
He watched her speak with such enthusiasm and happiness, and it filled him with both happiness and a twinge of bitterness in his heart.
After the meal, Francis suggested, "Shall we go to the beach? I'll go with you for a walk."
"Sure."
As they left, Francis reached out and held Jessica's hand.
Their hands were tightly intertwined.
Jessica looked up at him. "Aren't you afraid of being seen by someone you know?"
After all, in the eyes of his acquaintances, he and Celia were still engaged.
"Not afraid."
He answered, holding Jessica's hand even tighter.
Hearing his response, Jessica's heart soared with happiness.
Although she didn't ask about his relationship with Celia, from his behavior today, she thought the day they would leave together was right around the corner.
They arrived at the beach, and the sunset was exceptionally beautiful.
The clouds were dyed a shade of orange-red, looking like colors carefully painted by an artist.
"This sunset is so beautiful!"
"This is the most beautiful sunset I've seen since I came here."
Francis looked at her lovingly and asked, "Do you want to take a picture?"
Jessica quickly nodded. "Sure."
She was wearing a loose red dress today, which looked very beautiful against the red clouds behind her.
Francis took many photos of her.
Jessica looked at the photos on his phone, and each one was beautiful.
"Let's take one together!" Francis suddenly said.
"Okay!"
He held the phone with one hand and put his other arm around Jessica.
They took a selfie with the sea in the background.
For the second photo, Jessica suddenly leaned in and kissed Francis on the cheek.
And so, the beautiful moment was captured.
This time, they stayed at the beach for a long time.
Being with him made Jessica lose track of time.
Francis also cherished their last moments together.
"Are you cold? Put this on." He took off his jacket and gave it to Jessica.
She loved his domineering manner.
She looked up and playfully said, "Kiss me, and I'll put it on."
Francis said, "Put it on, and I'll kiss you."
As she was putting on the jacket and hadn't even fixed her hair, Francis cupped her face. In the next moment, he kissed her with overwhelming intensity, full of dominance and possessiveness.
Jessica didn't even have a chance to say a word before he held the back of her head and kissed her deeply.
His actions were very gentle and tender.
Jessica felt deeply loved.
Even though there were people at the beach and it wasn't completely dark yet.
Their affection could be seen by some people.
But she didn't feel shy at all.
She stood on tiptoe and kissed him back eagerly.
Feeling her response, Francis became even more passionate.
The feeling could almost be described as wild.
But as it went on, Jessica felt something different.
Unlike before, this time he seemed addicted, kissing her over and over, unwilling to let go.
In the end, he was almost frantically biting her lips, as if he wanted to merge her into his body.
What surprised Jessica even more was that she felt a cool touch on her cheek.
Then came the second drop, the third drop...
And then, her cheeks were wet with tears.
"Francis, what's wrong?"
"Why are you crying?"
From the time they met until now, he had cried very few times.
Why was he crying at the happiest, sweetest moment?
Jessica suddenly panicked, feeling very anxious.
Francis let go of her and hurriedly wiped the tears from her face with his hand, saying, "It's nothing, don't worry, I'm just too happy."
"Jessica, meeting you is the best thing that ever happened to me."
"If there's a next life, I will make sure to meet you earlier and love you sooner."
Hearing his words, Jessica felt relieved.
She hugged him and nestled in his arms. "You said it, so you must not break your promise in the next life, or I won't forgive you."
"Okay, I will remember."
As he finished speaking, tears fell from Francis's face again.
But the tears were quickly blown away by the wind.
On the way back, they still held hands, like the sweetest couple.
At that moment, Jessica was still lost in the sweetness, totally unaware of the pain that was about to hit her.
Meanwhile, in the ward.
Celia was watching TV and eating delicious food.
Celia showed no signs of the pain of losing a baby.
Suddenly, Alisha rushed in frantically.
"Celia, something's wrong, it's bad."
"Mom, what's wrong? Tell me!"
"I just went back to get you some clothes, and several people told me that Francis took Jessica for a walk on the beach."
"Not only that, he held Jessica's hand, took pictures of her, and the worst part is..."
Celia clenched her fists in anger. "What is it?"
"They were kissing on the beach without a care in the world."
"What?"
Celia was almost furious on the spot.
"Jessica, you are so shameless!"
"Francis, I hate you!"
She was so angry that she threw the glass on the bedside table to the ground.
Instantly, the glass shattered into pieces, and water splashed everywhere.
The floor was covered in water, and the whole place was a mess.
"I'm so angry, they were kissing!"
"Jessica is so shameless, seducing my fiancé."
Celia went crazy, almost smashing everything within reach.
Not only that, she got out of bed and almost smashed everything in the room.
Alisha realized something was wrong and quickly ran up to hold her. "Celia, calm down, your health is the most important. No matter how angry you are, you can't joke about your health!"
Since things got so loud, Cathy and the nurse soon came in.
Seeing the mess on the floor, Cathy spoke angrily.
"You need to rest well now. Walking barefoot on the floor, do you want to have a baby in the future?"
"Get back to bed and cover yourself with the blanket."
