Chapter 546 The Uncontrollable Kiss

Seeing Jessica, Celia greeted her with a smile, "Long time no see!"

"By the way, I'm happy for you, Jessica. Congratulations."

"Congratulations for what?" Jessica asked deliberately.

Celia's gaze fell on Vincent. "Congratulations on finding your husband. Or is he not?"

Jessica pressed her lips together, smiling without saying a word.

Jessica neither confirmed nor denied it.

Throughout the entire process, Jessica and Francis hardly said a word.

They seemed to have a mutual understanding, neither of them took the initiative to speak to the other.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, and Jessica immediately covered her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

Vincent leaned over and asked softly.

"It seems like some sand got into my eyes," Jessica said.

Vincent apologized to Francis and the others and then led Jessica to a nearby spot.

"Jessica, take your hand away, let me check your eyes."

After Jessica removed her hand, tears were already streaming from her left eye.

And her left eye quickly turned red.

It seemed like the sand was anything but tiny.

"Jessica, hold on, open your eyes, I'll get the sand out."

"Okay."

Then, Francis saw Vincent bending over, carefully blowing the sand out of Jessica's eye.

Throughout the process, Vincent and Jessica's affection made others both envious and jealous.

Francis turned his head away.

He found the scene in front of him extremely glaring and didn't want to see such it at all.

In a fit of pique, Francis took Celia's hand. "The wind is chilly, let's go home."

"Aren't you going to say goodbye to them?"

"No need, they're so lovey-dovey right now, they wouldn't want us to disturb them."

With that, Francis pulled Celia away.

After Jessica's eye was taken care of, she saw their departing backs.

"Vincent, see, I told you, Francis doesn't care about me at all."

Francis left without even saying goodbye.

It seemed Francis didn't want to see Jessica anymore.

Although Jessica had anticipated this outcome, imagining it was one thing, witnessing it was another.

Jessica hung her head, feeling particularly downcast.

Vincent, however, smiled. "Jessica, I think the opposite."

"Francis left because he realized he cares about you."

"Vincent, I don't understand."

"Never mind, you'll understand later."

"What?"

Jessica felt even more confused.

But Vincent thought and looked at Francis's departing figure with certainty, 'Gabriel, I bet you'll come looking for Jessica tonight. Gabriel, admit it, even with amnesia, you will fall in love with her.'

At that moment, Vincent looked at the rolling waves of the endless sea and suddenly felt much relieved.

Maybe this was fate.

Even with amnesia, Gabriel still fell in love with Jessica.

What if Jessica was the one with amnesia?

Would she fall in love with Gabriel again?

The answer was definitely yes.

So, Vincent's withdrawal and departure were the right choices.

After a while, Vincent and Jessica walked back.

When they got home and saw who was waiting outside, she was extremely surprised.

It was Francis.

"Vincent, is this what you meant earlier?" Jessica turned and asked.

Vincent replied, "Yes, I'll leave the rest to you two. I'm heading inside now."

As soon as he finished speaking, Francis rushed to Jessica's side.

"I haven't seen you for a few days, are you feeling better?"

At first, Francis had many questions to ask her, but when he saw her thin face, the first thing that came to his mind was concern.

"Not bad."

After Jessica answered, there was a silence between them.

The atmosphere turned a bit tense.

"If you have nothing else, I'll go inside."

Just as Jessica was about to turn around, Francis suddenly grabbed her arm.

Staring into her soulful eyes, he finally mustered the courage to ask his most pressing question, "Don't tell me, he's your husband."

"What if I say he is?"

"Impossible." Francis denied it without thinking.

Jessica smiled. "Anything is possible. Why not this?"

"You mistook me for your husband before, which means I must resemble him somewhat, but he and I are nothing alike."

"Didn't expect Mr. Gutierrez to have such a good memory. He's not my husband, but he's pursuing me," Jessica said.

Francis was stunned.

At that moment, even Francis's fingers tightened around Jessica's arm, rigid with tension.

"What did you say? Can you repeat that?"

Jessica looked at Francis with her bright starry eyes and spoke seriously, "You're right, I did mistake you. Maybe my husband disappeared and will never come back."

"Since he's already gone, I should consider my future. I can't stubbornly wait for him to return when he never will. With such a good option, of course, I should seize it."

"Besides, Vincent comes from a wealthy family with excellent conditions. Not only that, his family knows my situation and likes me. I would be very happy marrying into his family. So why not give it a try?"

Jessica's words nearly drove Francis insane, and for the first time, he felt the depths of rage surging through his chest.

"Jessica, listen to me, I won't allow it."

Francis stared at her face, his words coming out in a tense growl.

"Mr. Gutierrez, you're quite the comedian. Who do you think you are to me? What gives you the right to say no?"

"Because you said I'm your husband, and you're carrying my baby. So, I absolutely won't allow you to find another man to be my baby's father."

Jessica laughed sarcastically.

Jessica looked at him speechlessly. "But you never admitted it, nor did you ever believe it, did you?"

"Mr. Gutierrez, you are so strange. If there's nothing else, please leave. Your fiancée is waiting for you at home."

Jessica turned to leave.

Francis's chest heaved with anger.

He could no longer control himself and reached out and grabbed Jessica, holding her face with both hands.

Francis's lips, almost crazily, uncontrollably kissed her.

"Francis."

Jessica wanted to resist, but it only gave him more opportunity.

"Let go of me!"

Francis didn't speak, only kissed her deeper and tighter.

In Francis's arms, no matter how Jessica struggled, it was useless.

Francis felt like he was losing his mind as if he were poisoned and couldn't break free.

At that moment, Francis only wanted to hold Jessica tightly, not letting anyone else see or take her away.

And her lips were unbelievably sweet.

What puzzled Francis even more was the nagging sense of familiarity in his mind.
