Chapter 605 Tina Reveals Her Thoughts
Alfonso nodded honestly, "I did."
"I didn't dare to appear in front of her rashly, so I asked someone to find out about her situation. The reply was that she had got married, and had children."
"I didn't dare to see her; I was afraid I couldn't control myself."
"Later, Mr. Price found me. He said someone had been watching Giselle. I was afraid that my appearance would bring her danger, so I decided to stay away from everything about her."
"I became a stranger to your mom. Only in this way could she be the safest."
Alfonso's words finally cleared the confusion that had lingered in Jessica's heart.
"Dad, I have something to give you."
Jessica wrapped the diary and handed it to Alfonso.
"This is Mom's diary. After leaving you, she knew she was pregnant. To give me a complete family and a legitimate identity, she married my adoptive father."
"Mom and Carter were just going through the motions in their marriage; they had no feelings for each other."
"After getting married, Mom kept inquiring about your news, even the news of your death in a car explosion. She kept all of it, but she never believed you were dead."
At this point, Jessica found herself at a loss for words.
"Mom's feelings for you are all in that diary. You can read it yourself!"
Alfonso had only turned a few pages before he was already in tears.
Vincent lied; Tina's condition was far from ideal.
Jessica noticed it on the third day after returning home.
"You lied to me about Tina, didn't you?" She asked Gabriel.
Gabriel quickly explained, "At that time, you were very weak. We were afraid you'd worry too much, so..."
Before he could finish, Jessica interrupted, "But you shouldn't have lied to me."
"Gabriel, do you know that if Tina hadn't stepped up, the one who got hurt would have been me? Maybe Stella and I would have died long ago."
"You knew I was worried about Tina. Why did you deliberately hide it from me?"
Gabriel knew he was wrong and quickly suggested, "I'll take you to see Tina right away, okay?"
"Okay."
At the hospital, seeing Tina, Jessica couldn't wait to run over and hug her.
Neither Tina nor Jessica spoke; Tina just leaned her head on Jessica.
Her voice was very soft, "Jessica, how are you recovering? Does the wound still hurt?"
Jessica had been holding back her emotions, but she couldn't hold back anymore when she heard this.
"Tina, you're always worried about me, but you're the one who needs the most care!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Jessica's tears fell.
"Jessica, I..." Tina paused, her voice choking with emotion, "I'm fine, not as serious as you think."
How could Tina's injury not be serious? Her voice was barely a whisper, fragile and small.

If it were before, she would have spoken loudly.

"Jessica, I'm fine."

That day, Jessica kept staying with her.
Tina was much quieter, mostly watching TV or looking at the scenery outside.

"I'm sorry, I lied to you. I'm so scared and uncomfortable,"
Unable to hold back anymore, Tina burst into tears.
"Tina, don't be afraid." Jessica immediately turned around and hugged her tightly.
In just a few days, Tina had lost a lot of weight.
Tina, already slender, had grown even more fragile.
She was like a wounded little bird curled up in Jessica's arms, trembling all over at the thought of those scenes.
"Jessica, will I be despised in the future?" Tina asked while crying.
Jessica held her face tenderly and answered seriously, "If he's truly the one worth spending your life with, he will cherish and love you."
"If he minds, then he wouldn't be the right one for you."
"You are such a good girl, always deserving of the best man."
Tina nestled in her arms.
For a long time, suddenly, a soft voice came from her throat, "Do you think Vincent will?"
Hearing this, Jessica was stunned.
Jessica's mind went blank, or rather, she couldn't believe it.
"Tina, who did you say?"
"Vincent!" Tina repeated.
This time, Jessica was sure she hadn't heard wrong.
She looked at Tina, extremely shocked, "The person you've been telling me you like is him?"

"Jessica, do you think he will?"

Two days later, it was the day Tina was discharged from the hospital.
When she saw Vincent standing in front of her in a crisp police uniform, Tina was stunned.
"Vincent, why are you here?"
"Jessica said you were being discharged today and asked me to help you. Come on, I'll take you home."
