Chapter 334 Gabriel Arrives Just in Time
Patricia had totally lost it this time. Her usual calm was completely gone. "Jessica, I'm telling you, you have to marry Jack."
Right after she said that, a servant came rushing in, tripping over himself. "Mrs. Smith, someone broke in."
"Useless! You can't even guard a house properly," Patricia snapped.
In less than a minute, Gabriel stormed in with his crew. The moment he saw Jessica, he ran over and hugged her tight.
Jessica couldn't hold back anymore and started sobbing, "Gabriel, you finally came. I was so scared."
"I'm sorry, Jessica. It's all my fault. I got here too late," Gabriel said softly, trying to comfort her. He looked her over, worried. "Are you hurt? What did she do to you?"
Jessica shook her head. "I'm not hurt. She just kept forcing me to marry Jack, and she said..."
Her eyes landed on the video playing in front of her, and she continued, "She threatened me, saying I couldn't marry you, and that she'd release the video to ruin me and make you a joke. Gabriel, you have to destroy the video."
Patricia laughed loudly, "You're so naive. You think I only have one copy?"
Without hesitation, Gabriel grabbed the tablet and smashed it on the ground. The screen shattered into pieces instantly, but Patricia's smug smile remained.
"No big deal, I've got plenty of copies," Patricia said, almost gleefully.
Gabriel shot her a cold look, ignoring her, and called Danielle. "Mom, I've got her. Come handle this and deal with the video. I don't want it showing up again."
After that, Gabriel carried Jessica out. The night air was freezing, and as soon as they stepped outside, Jessica shivered in Gabriel's embrace.
"We'll be in the car soon. It'll be warm there," he reassured her.
"Okay." she nodded, closing her eyes, still terrified.
When Danielle arrived, the villa was wide open, and Gabriel's men were still there, waiting. As soon as she walked into the hall, she saw Patricia, tied up with a thick rope, looking a mess on the floor.
Seeing Danielle, Patricia instinctively shrank back. It was clear that Patricia was definitely scared of Danielle.
Danielle didn't waste any time, looking down at Patricia and extending her hand. "Patricia, you know my temper. I don't want to waste words. Hand over the original video."
Patricia's voice trembled as she replied, "It's gone. Your son smashed it. It's already destroyed."
Danielle wasn't buying it. She sneered, lightly kicking Patricia's fingers with her high heel. "Don't mess with me, or you won't like what happens next."
"I'm not lying; it really was the original video."
"Is that so?" Danielle said, her tone icy but controlled. She motioned, and someone quickly came to her side and bent down.
After she whispered a few words, the assistant looked at Patricia. "Take her upstairs."
Patricia freaked out. "Why go upstairs? Danielle, what are you going to do?"
"Nothing much, just thought of that old saying, 'an eye for an eye.' Patricia, I warned you ages ago. I'm not a nice person." Danielle waved her hand impatiently. "Get it done!"
"Yes, Ms. Whitney."
Soon, the villa was filled with Patricia's gut-wrenching screams. She cried and yelled, but it was pointless; she was no match for them.
Upstairs, the door shut.
The female assistant gave a few orders. Soon, everything was set up, and the camera was rolling.
Half an hour later, Patricia lay on the floor, barely conscious, her face streaked with tears. Danielle stood over her, looking down.
Patricia clutched the thin layer of clothing on her body, glaring at Danielle with pure hatred.
"Danielle, I've never seen a woman more ruthless than you. All these years, I've wondered why Jonah would cheat and come to me when he had a beautiful, accomplished woman like you."
"Now I get it. You're terrifying, vicious. Just looking at you gives me chills. What man wouldn't want a gentle, understanding wife? No one wants a domineering, arrogant one."
"You deserved everything that happened to you. You brought it on yourself," Patricia shouted, her voice echoing with a mix of anger and desperation.
Danielle looked at her coldly. "You can still talk so much. Guess I went too easy on you."
"Patricia, you should never have messed with Jessica. When Dad was alive, he adored her, cherished and protected her, but you hurt her."
"If you think your life is too long, I don't mind shortening it for you." Danielle finished and glanced at the camera in her hand.
It was only a few minutes long, but she was pleased with the content. She handed the camera to her assistant and said, "Make several copies. If Patricia causes trouble again, I don't mind letting the whole world see it for free."
Patricia, defiant, retorted, "Jonah won't let you get away with this. I'm his lover and bore him a son. He won't just watch these videos get out."
Danielle looked at Patricia calmly. "Patricia, you were smart to act against Jessica while Jonah is abroad, but your cleverness backfired. Even if Jonah were here, he couldn't save you."
"Impossible, he won't just watch me being bullied by you."
Danielle sneered, "Patricia, you're really playing the victim here. You bullied Jessica first. Besides, I don't mind telling you that before Dad passed, he repeatedly told Jonah to take care of Jessica. If Jonah knew Jessica was pregnant with Gabriel's child and you treated her like this, how would he deal with you?"
"You did give him a son, but if I remember correctly, he never acknowledged that illegitimate child."
She paused and then leaned in, her voice dripping with disdain. "Twenty years ago, he chose the Walton Family, me, and Gabriel. Twenty years later, his choice is still me and Gabriel."
Patricia looked at her in despair. "No, it can't be. He said he owed me. This time he will choose me and my son. Danielle, don't be smug; we'll see."
