Chapter 287 The Tragic End 2
Diana had one hand yanking Sarah's hair while the other was splashing her with cold water like a madwoman.
Sarah was shaking like a leaf, soaked to the bone.
Diana was relentless, aiming the showerhead right at Sarah's eyes.
Sarah's eyes teared up from the sting.
Luckily, she was stronger than Diana.
Seeing her chance, she lunged forward.
The showerhead slipped, smacking both of them hard.
Sarah's arm and Diana's shoulder took the hit, making them both yelp in pain.
"You started this, so don't cry when I finish it," Diana snarled, pulling Sarah's hair harder.
Sarah wasn't backing down; she knew Diana's weak spot.
With a quick knee, she nailed Diana's leg.
Diana winced in pain.
"Sarah, you wanna brawl? Fine, let's do this," Diana growled, ripping off Sarah's shirt buttons.
Buttons flew everywhere, leaving Sarah in just a small strap.
Diana reached for the strap, but Sarah wasn't having it and clawed at Diana's face.
Her nails left deep scratches on Diana's face, drawing blood instantly.
Diana's face was a bloody mess, some wounds showing raw flesh.
Furious, Diana grabbed Sarah's neck, almost choking her out.
They wrestled, fighting from the bathroom to the top of the stairs on the second floor.
"Gabriel, help me! I'm gonna die," Sarah screamed, her neck bruised.
"Gabriel, I can't take it anymore," Diana also shouted.
But Gabriel was chilling in the dining room with Jessica.
The servants, freaked out by the fight, rushed to report.
Gabriel just looked up coldly, asking, "That's it?"
The servant, sweating bullets, asked, "Mr. Walton, are you really not gonna step in?"
Gabriel replied coldly, "No, let them tire themselves out."
Saved him the hassle.
They dared to plot against him in his own house? They must be crazy.
Now he was sure they were scheming together against him.
Using such dirty tricks.
If it weren't for Jessica being there, if Jessica hadn't been his antidote...
Gabriel couldn't even imagine what would've happened.
Suddenly, a loud crash came from downstairs.
The servant peeked and quickly reported, "Mr. Walton, they both fell down the stairs, and their heads are bleeding. Do you wanna check it out?"
Gabriel acted like he didn't hear, only asking Jessica, "You done eating?"
Jessica replied, "Yeah, almost."
Gabriel said, "Then let's go take a look."
They headed to the living room.
The servants had already separated Sarah and Diana.
Both were lying on the ground, blood streaming from their heads, looking like a total mess.
Seeing Gabriel, they immediately looked hopeful and called out together, "Gabriel."
But Gabriel didn't even glance at them, looking at the servant beside him and coldly ordering, "You got three minutes to throw them both out."
Throw them out?
Everyone thought they misheard.
Gabriel's face grew even sterner, "What? Do I need to do it myself?"
"No, no, Mr. Walton, we'll do it right away."
In less than three minutes, actually only two, Diana and Sarah were carried out and dumped at the gate of the Ancestral villa like trash.
After spending another day at the Ancestral villa, Jessica and Gabriel left after dinner.
When they pulled up to Jessica's apartment complex, she hopped out first.
"Thanks for the ride. I'm heading in."
"Alright." he nodded, his eyes softening.
Jessica nodded back, shut the car door, and started walking towards her place.
She hadn't gone far when, out of nowhere, a strong force hit her from behind. Next thing she knew, Gabriel had her wrapped up in his arms.
His trench coat was huge and open, swallowing her petite frame whole.
Jessica felt the warmth, her heart racing like crazy.
"What am I gonna do? I can't stand the thought of you going home," Gabriel held her tight, sounding like a pleading kid.
Jessica was at a loss for words and stayed quiet.
Behind her, his voice came again, "Jessica, I'm suddenly really scared."
Jessica asked, "Scared of what?"
Gabriel said, "Scared you won't agree, won't forgive me, and scared you'll fall for someone else one day."
Jessica smiled.
Loving someone wasn't that simple.
She'd loved him for ten years; if love could be transferred, she wouldn't have pined for him so long.
"What are you smiling at?"
Gabriel asked, turning her to face him.
Jessica's lips still held a smile.
She reached out, her slender hands gently cupping his cheeks, and answered softly, "Mr. Walton, when did you get so insecure? I remember you always being super confident."
Gabriel said, "But you make me insecure."
Jessica looked up at the tree in front of her and spoke softly, "The New Year is coming, time flies so fast!"
"Yeah, I'm about to get another year older," he said.
Jessica was amused and immediately cupped his face, her gaze lingering on his features.
She said, "Mr. Walton, you're always handsome, and your face is still captivating."
"So, does that mean other parts aren't as good?" he teased, raising an eyebrow suggestively.
Jessica squinted her eyes and smiled mischievously, "Your body is just as charming."
"Are you eyeing my body?" he leaned in, deliberately rubbing his stubble against Jessica's cheek.
Jessica felt both pain and ticklishness, so she laughed and begged for mercy, then dodged away.
As it got later, both had work the next day.
In the end, though reluctant, Gabriel let go of Jessica, saying, "Go on, I'll watch you go home."
"Okay." Jessica nodded, then let go of his hand and walked home step by step.
Gabriel stood there, quietly watching her leave.
He didn't leave until Jessica's figure disappeared into the complex, still looking from afar.
Just then, his phone dinged.
It was a message from Jessica.
[Actually, I wanted to tell you earlier. I'll give you an answer after the New Year.]
Seeing this message, Gabriel was over the moon, feeling like a giddy teenager, filled with joy and excitement.
He didn't sleep all night.
That night, Jessica slept like a baby.
Even at work, when she greeted her colleagues, everyone complimented her on looking well.
After finishing a round of work, Tina immediately came over, asking mysteriously, "Did you make up with your boyfriend?"
Jessica asked, "Why do you ask?"
"Look at your complexion, your skin is glowing; they say a woman in love is the most beautiful, and it's true," Tina sighed enviously.
Jessica laughed and pushed her away. Just then, the front desk called, "Dr. Morgan, someone is here to see you."
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Thinking it might be an emergency, Jessica ran quickly.
But seeing the woman in front of her, she was taken aback, filled with surprise.
