Chapter101 Forced Kiss
“Ah!”
Blushing, Sarah shook off Ethan's hand and sat up abruptly. Ethan had been sitting on a chair next to the bed, watching over her all night. He had barely fallen asleep when her scream woke him up.
“You... You sat by my bed all night?”
She could clearly see now that he really had been sitting by the bed, her heart trembling inexplicably. Did he really stay by her side all night?
Ethan explained helplessly, “I didn't want to, but you kept having nightmares and talking in your sleep. Moreover, you wouldn't let go of my hand!”
“Well... Thank you! I didn't say anything strange in my dreams, did I?” she was embarrassed, her face flushed as she spoke with a slightly guilty tone.
Ethan stood up and said to her, “I didn’t notice. Anyway, I’ll leave now that you're awake. I need to go to the airport!”
“Why are you going to there? What about your injuries?” Sarah asked suspiciously, suddenly remembering he was shot while trying to save her.
“I’ve recovered. Don't forget that I was the one who cured your grandfather. These minor injuries mean nothing,” he jumped in place a couple of times, looking lively and energetic. He seemed different from an injured person.
The mysterious energy had already healed his gunshot wound last night. It was just a pity that a few potted plants on Sarah's suite balcony had withered as a result, although nobody would think he was related to them!
Still worried, Sarah got out of bed and rolled up Ethan's pants, checking if the wound had recovered. The only thing left was a barely visible scar. She sighed in relief, even more surprised with his medical skills.
“How did you do it?”
“It’s already 8 o’clock, so I have no time to explain. Alice's flight leaves at ten, and I promised to see her off!” Ethan quickly explained, ready to make a quick getaway. It was best to say as little as possible about his miraculous 'medical skills.'
“So, she's leaving?” Sarah suddenly became interested. “Wait for me, I'll go with you to see her off!”
Ethan watched her rush into the bathroom to freshen up. He never expected her to also go and see Alice off.
When they got in the car and went to the airport, she curiously asked, “Didn't you always hate Alice? Why are you going to see her off with me?”
Sarah rolled her eyes, soon realizing she had slipped up.
Ethan's mouth twitched. Why were women so petty?
He helplessly told her, “To be honest, I was able to find you so quickly last night because Alice gave me information. Her people found your whereabouts before the Harris family did!”
“So, should I be grateful to her?”
Sarah suddenly felt uneasy.
Ethan smiled bitterly and patted her head, “Alice is a kind girl. Stop badmouthing her all the time!”
“I know that! Stop making me sound unreasonable!” Sarah dismissed him with a pout.
Soon, the two saw Alice in the airport, already preparing to go through security.
“Ethan, I'm glad you're here to see me off. Moreover, I should feel honored that Miss Harris came as well, right?”
When Alice saw Sarah and Ethan together, there was a tinge of disappointment in her eyes. However, it quickly dissipated.
Sarah casually said, “I heard that you helped save me last night too. Since I don’t like owing favors, I came to thank you. If you need any help in the future, feel free to ask!”
Alice looked at Ethan earnestly, “I don't think I'll encounter the same situation as Miss Harris did last night. Even if I do, I believe Ethan will save me!”
“Hmph! You two have fun talking then. I'll wait outside for you!” Sarah huffed and walked outside, clearly provoked by Alice's words.
“Why did you have to provoke her?” Ethan watched Sarah's receding figure and smiled bitterly.
Alice seriously said, “Only by doing so can we see her true reaction. I don't like hypocritical people. Moreover, she has a crush on you!”
“Well... Thanks for coming to help this time. Please thank Eric for me when you return!” Ethan felt awkward, quickly changing the topic.
She reluctantly said, “I will come again, and next time, I'll directly go to Novaria to find you. If Eric tries to stop me, I'll pluck out each of his beard hairs!”
In the distance, Sarah turned around and muttered something under her breath while watching Ethan and Alice talk, clearly not saying anything pleasant.
At that moment, she saw Alice suddenly hug Ethan and passionately kiss him, her eyes widening.
“I have to go now. Remember to think of me! I've left people for you; they'll help you when you need them.”
Fortunately, it ended there.
The kiss was brief. Alice released Ethan, who had a bewildered expression on his face. She giggled and ran through the security checkpoint, glancing at Sarah provocatively.
Sarah was so angry, almost wanting to rush into the security checkpoint to fight this woman. Thankfully, she held back. Otherwise, tomorrow's headlines would show her fighting with another woman over a man at the airport. It wasn't until Alice disappeared that Ethan snapped back to reality. This woman had actually ‘ambushed’ him!
“How did it feel? I'm sure she left you longing for more,” a familiar voice came from behind, giving Ethan a chilling sensation.
“What’re you talking about? She did it first, so don't speak nonsense to Chloe!” Ethan quickly turned back, warning her seriously.
“Hmph, you did that, but you don’t want to take responsibility? If you dare, try and appease me!” Sarah groaned coquettishly and led the way out of the airport. Ethan had a headache, hurriedly following behind. For a moment, he felt helpless in explaining the situation.
Just as the two were about to leave and get into a car, Ethan suddenly saw a familiar figure approaching from afar. His expression turned strange. Wasn't that Hannah?
She was rushing out of the airport by herself, seemingly just getting off a plane.
“What are you looking at? Did some woman entice you again?” Still upset, Sarah saw Ethan in a daze and questioned him while upset. “Nothing!”
Ethan didn't dare tell her about Hannah. Otherwise, it would be even more difficult to explain.
After getting into the car, messaging to the master Alice had introduced him to, asking them to oversee Hannah and find out why she came to Seattle. He sensed that Hannah was deeply concerned, perhaps facing some trouble.
