Chapter 8 The Bodyguard

Andrew approached Sharon and took her hand, looking at her tenderly:

"Sharon, you've been wronged, having to spend three years married to such a loser!"

After speaking, Andrew turned to Ethan and ordered, "Get out! Get out of here right now!"

Andrew Johnson pointed at Ethan's nose, standing tall and proud as if he could see the other man begging at his feet.

At this moment, Ethan clenched his fists, silent.

Being provoked for no reason was one thing.

But his ex-wife standing with the other man, joining in the humiliation, was another.

Did they really think Ethan was made of mud?

Filled with rage, there was no need to hold back any longer. He stepped forward.

Slap!

A crisp sound echoed as a slap landed hard on Andrew Johnson's face, leaving five bright red finger marks.

"You have no right to order me around!"

Silence!

This shocking scene rendered everyone present speechless!

A lowly son-in-law had slapped the young master of The Johnson Family!

The slap was so powerful that Andrew Johnson's ears rang, nearly losing his senses. His grip on Sharon Thomas's hand was forced to release as he staggered to stabilize himself against a nearby table.

After regaining his senses, Andrew Johnson was furious, his fingers trembling as he pointed at Ethan.

"You... you dare to hit me?"

He roared and lunged at Ethan.

However, Ethan effortlessly dodged, stepping on his back, sending Andrew crashing face-first into the ground.

Lying there, Andrew Johnson's face turned beet red.

Gritting his teeth as he got up, he threw a heavy punch at Ethan.

Bang!

There was a loud noise, and before the crowd could see Ethan's move, Andrew Johnson was already flying backward, crashing into the wall!

He wailed in pain.

"What's going on? How is he so fast?"

"Holy shit, he really dared to hit him, that's Mr. Johnson!"

"Poor Mr. Johnson, meeting someone who doesn't fear trouble. Looks like he's going to back down."

As the young master of the central plains' number one family, he had learned various skills from a young age, and combat was a compulsory subject. Beating up someone like Andrew Johnson, who was nothing but a sack of wine and rice, was like squashing an ant.

Sharon Thomas was also shocked by Ethan's performance.

Although she knew Ethan was always efficient in his work, she never expected him to be able to fight, but what surprised her even more was the fierceness in Ethan's eyes when he struck, something she had never seen before.

Andrew Johnson hit the wall, dazed until Christine Thomas helped him up, and he gradually regained his senses.

"Mr. Johnson, let's just let it go, a wise man does not eat the loss in front of him," Christine Thomas cautiously advised.

Others friendly with The Johnson Family also suggested, "Mr. Johnson, this reckless guy is just a brute. There's no need to stoop to his level right now. A gentleman's revenge can wait ten years."

Unexpectedly, Andrew Johnson's expression grew even more furious, shaking off Christine Thomas harshly and cursing at Ethan, "You bastard!"

"I want you dead!"

He was completely enraged.

"Brother Noad, help me!"

Andrew Johnson shouted, his shrill voice piercing through the hall and reaching outside.

The next second, a towering figure appeared at the doorway.

The man was tall and burly, his face chiseled, with a long scar running down his left cheek, cutting through the corner of his eye.

His very presence brought a tense, oppressive feeling of fear.

"I'm sorry for being late, young master."

His arrival instantly bolstered Andrew Johnson's confidence.

"Brother Noad, I'm troubled to ask for your help. Get rid of this trash for me. Today, I want him dead!"

Upon hearing this, Noad didn't ask why, but stepped forward, looking coldly at Ethan, "Kid, how do you want to die?"

As a bodyguard, he had been with The Johnson Family for half a year without a chance to show his strength, taking a hefty salary without earning it, which made him feel guilty.

Now, looking at Ethan, he knew his opportunity to repay the favor had come.

"It's him, Noad! No wonder Mr. Johnson is so confident."

"Oh? Is this Noad that impressive?"

"More than impressive, he's a retired special forces soldier. He once went into the Golden Triangle alone and single-handedly took down a drug lord's lair, receiving military commendation. He's a true soldier king!"

His identity announced, the crowd in the hall applauded.

Facing a tough guy like Noad, even if Ethan didn't die, he would leave half his life behind.

"Ethan, just apologize."

At this moment, Sharon Thomas suddenly spoke up.

Although she deeply resented Ethan, deep down, she didn't want to see him disabled by a beating.

"Apologize? For what reason should I apologize?" Ethan scoffed.

With a wave of his hand, he shouted, "Brother Noad, teach Ethan a lesson!"

Noad's eyes flashed with a harsh light as he charged at Ethan with incredible speed, swinging his fist towards him.
