Chapter 380 Left Without a Word
Jim shook his head firmly. "Sorry, Caspar, Dad's meeting with my master right now. He can't see you. Better head back and not bother him!"
Dorian frowned. His fears were confirmed—Jim had brought Paul back as a help!
"Mom, we don't need to be here. You'll have plenty of chances to find out the truth later," Kenny reminded Caspar.
"No, I'm staying. If they don't leave, neither will I!" Caspar said stubbornly.
"Ethan, did that Elmer from yesterday come along?" Gino asked quietly, still uneasy.
"Probably. Elmer likes to play tricks. Even if he's here, you wouldn't see him. Doesn't matter; I never counted on him," Ethan shrugged.
Gino frowned but stayed quiet. He stepped forward, pulling Caspar behind him, and met Jim's condescending gaze.
"The elder from Celestia Vale who went to Everglow City, was that your doing?" Gino asked calmly.
"Yep. The elder is my master, and he's inside now," Jim snorted.
"Get them out here. Besides Rex, I don't want to hurt anyone or involve the innocent," Gino warned.
"Come on! My master is here, and you kids dare to be so bold? Bring your master here; otherwise, none of you are getting in today!" Jim scoffed.
"So you're forcing me to act?" Gino frowned. He only wanted an explanation from Rex, not to harm Jim.
But Jim saw him as an enemy, not a brother.
"Why waste time? If they won't come out, we'll go in! Didn't expect the head of the Salvador family to be too scared to show up!" Ethan mocked.
"How dare you!" Jim's face turned red with anger, but he held back from attacking Ethan.
Jim hadn't expected Ethan to come along, and Ethan was now a Half-Step Grandmaster. If he and Gino teamed up, Jim wouldn't stand a chance!
"Alright, I'll show you what daring looks like!" Ethan sneered, and soon, Jim's servants were on the ground, groaning.
These ordinary warriors couldn't withstand Ethan's silver needles; they didn't even see him attack!
"Still want to stop us?" Ethan smiled at Jim, satisfied.
"Ethan, don't push it! This is Salvador family business. What right do you, an outsider, have to interfere?" Jim shouted, pointing at Ethan.
"Outsider? I'll show you real interference!" Ethan sneered, flicking his wrist. Silver needles shot out, aiming at Jim.
Just then, a cold snort echoed, and the needles froze mid-air, dropping to the ground. Paul appeared in front of Jim!
"Master, why did you come out?" Jim was surprised.
"You're no match for him," Paul said flatly.
Jim's face turned sour. He couldn't argue with Paul and felt utterly frustrated. Ethan used to be a nobody he could crush, but now he couldn't even compete.
"You've got some nerve, old man! Are you Jim's master?" Ethan smiled at Paul, unfazed.
Paul's eyes flashed with anger.
"How dare you speak like that to my master! You're asking for it! My master could crush you with one finger!" Jim shouted, hoping Paul would teach Ethan a lesson.
"Oh, I'm so scared! Why don't you ask him if he dares to touch the head of the ZF Guild?" Ethan sneered, mocking Jim and warning Paul.
Paul's face showed a trace of helplessness. Ethan's status was untouchable. Even the elders of Celestia Vale wouldn't let him off if he messed with Ethan.
"Paul, does my master know you're meddling in the Salvador family's affairs today?" Gino, who had been silent, finally spoke up.
"Since Jim is my disciple, I can help him, right?" Paul gritted his teeth.
"Do I need to bring my master here personally?" Gino warned, squinting.
Paul was speechless. Back in Everglow City, he wanted Gino as a disciple, but Phoenix made him back off. He knew he had offended Phoenix, a grandmaster level.
Jim was just a disciple, not worth offending someone like Phoenix. Ethan had Francis from the ZF Guild behind him, also a grandmaster. Paul couldn't afford to provoke either.
"Forget it, Jim. I can't handle the Salvador family's affairs anymore. Return this pill to your dad for me. Goodbye!" Paul's face changed several times before he left the pill and disappeared, shocking Jim.
"Master, are you really abandoning us?" Jim shouted in disbelief as Paul vanished.
"Paul, you can't leave us!" Rex, who had been inside, ran out, looking desperately in the direction Paul had disappeared.
