Chapter 103 True feelings revealed
Hannah angrily asked, “How much do you want?”
“Not much; just 2 million. But in total, I want three million dollars and no less! Otherwise, I'll take Camila away immediately!” Richard said, laughing coldly with confidence.
Hannah's eyes widened.
At that moment, a familiar voice echoed from nearby, “I was the one who hurt your hand. Didn’t you find the wrong person? Shouldn’t I compensate you instead?”
After he said that, Ethan casually walked over from the side of the road.
“Ethan?!” Hannah didn't expect to encounter him in Seattle, her hometown. Why was he here? Did he follow her?
“It's you? I didn't pick a fight with you, but you came knocking at my door. Perfect! Not only do you owe me my medical expenses, but I also want to break your hand!”
Richard was scared when he saw Ethan for a second, but he quickly calmed down when he saw the man was alone. He had brought ten people with him today; he didn’t believe they wouldn’t be enough to deal with Ethan.
“Oh? Seems like the lesson I gave you last time wasn't enough, huh?” Ethan sneered and slowly approached Hannah. “Why didn't you tell me about this?”
“I... I knew you had things to take care of, so...” Hannah lowered her head, looking ashamed. But in her heart, strange affection grew stronger.
“Don't forget that you belong to me!” he solemnly reminded before turning to Richard, who was still proud.
However, Hannah was shocked when she heard that.

‘…What does that even mean? Does he really mean that, or…’
Women were sensitive creatures. If Ethan knew his words would cause such a huge misunderstanding, he would definitely slap himself.
“Let's see how arrogant you can be today. Be smart and kneel down to apologize, and maybe I'll let you off with just a few million dollars for the medical expenses. If I'm in a good mood, I might even spare your life!” Richard warned, disdainfully looking at Ethan.
“Just because you brought a bunch of useless men, you think you’re qualified to challenge me?” Ethan's slapped Richard's left cheek without warning, knocking him down to the ground.
He indifferently asked, “I see you're living quite miserably. How about I let you ease the pain?”
Richard was dumbfounded. He never expected Ethan to be so brazen, slapping him in this situation!
“You bastards, I paid you money! Are you just going to stand by and watch me get beat up?” Richard snapped back to reality, shouting at the gangsters he hired.
However, he didn't realize that after clearly seeing Ethan, these gangsters were trembling where they stood, filled with fear.
Overnight, Ethan had become infamous for destroying the Crossing Gang. These gangsters had just seen his picture earlier today!
Not only them, but almost everyone in Seattle's underworld forces knew about him. Whoever dared to offend him was asking for a death wish.
“What, you think I wouldn’t dare hit you? Try asking them if I dare to!” Ethan didn't even glance at the gangsters, reminding them coldly with a sneer.
Richard panicked when the gangsters weren’t moving, “What’re you all standing there for? Is the money I paid you too little? I’ll give you more, so just kill him! I’ll give you two hundred, no—five hundred thousand dollars!”
The leader of the gangsters’ face immediately changed. Without a word, he signaled the others to take action.
Lying on the ground, Richard was punched and kicked. The gangsters beside him were shocked, instinctively glancing at Ethan before joining their boss with the assault.
Richard's wails shocked Hannah and her family, who were standing nearby. Richard clearly owned these thugs, so why didn't they come to his aid? Instead, they started beating him up?
“Why are you all hitting me? You’ve got the wrong person... Please, stop! Stop...” Richard's eyes widened in shock, intense pain coursing through his body making him repeatedly beg for mercy. His snot and tears flowed down, showing his pitiful state.
The thug cursed while continuing to hit Richard, “You fool, do you realize who this is? Thanks to you, I'm as good as dead today! Mr. Wilson single-handedly destroyed the Crossing Gang, but he didn’t even pick a fight with us. What makes you think we can fight him?”
Of course, he directed these words to Ethan. He hoped that with their sudden change of allegiance, Ethan would see it them redeeming themselves rather than acting like his enemy.
“Mr. Wilson, please give your orders. How should we handle him? We’ll definitely do it for you!” Seeing Richard beaten to near-death, the thug stopped and politely nodded to Ethan, now acting like a subordinate.
“Mr. Wilson, I… I was wrong... Hannah, please don't let them hit me anymore… I'll really die!” Richard could barely speak as he pleaded.
“Ethan, just let him go. He's already in such a state, so he probably wouldn't pull anything again!” Although relieved by Richard's pitiful appearance, Hannah still spoke up for him.
Ethan seriously said to her, “Do you feel bad for him? With just one word from you, these thugs can make Richard disappear from this world, and I guarantee they won't drag you into it!”
“He’s Camila’s biological father, after all. And… I don’t want to trouble you any further!” She explained hesitantly.
In truth, she didn’t care about Richard’s life or death. However, she didn't want Ethan getting involved in murder over that scumbag!
After her explanation, Ethan was silent. Instead, he looked toward the leader of the thugs.
Ethan ordered indifferently, “I'm leaving him to you. Spare his life, but make sure he signs over the child’s custody rights to her mother. From now on, I'll pretend as if today never happened!”
The thug eagerly nodded, “No problem. Thank you, Mr. Wilson. I’ll make sure he obediently signs the contract!”
Hannah thanked him, “Ethan, thank you so much!”
She was deeply moved.
Ethan reminded pointedly, “It's just a small favor. Sometimes, being too kind isn’t good for you. Instead, it could make things worse!”
Hannah's heart tightened.
“Are you angry? Don't get me wrong; I don't pity him, and I'm certainly not worried about him! I just... I just don't want you in anymore trouble...”
She blurted those words out, leaving her frozen in place. Even Ethan was dumbfounded!
