Chapter 234 Light a Fire

Dorian never expected Ethan to tell him that Phoenix had returned to Misty Ridge. He thought, 'Is this young man courting death?'
He couldn't believe Ethan was a self-important fool; otherwise, he would have died countless times already!
"What exactly are you trying to do?" Dorian squinted his eyes and asked. His intuition told him that Ethan was probably telling the truth. But behind his confidence, there must be some preparation so he couldn't act rashly!
"Didn't I say? I'm here today to do business with the Ashford family!" Ethan explained with a smile.
"I'm not interested in doing any business with you." Dorian snorted coldly and then looked at Gino. "You saved Ethan from Ignatius. Do you know that this means you're opposing the Ashford family?"
"I was just saving someone. If you think that means opposing you, then so be it," Gino said nonchalantly.
"You better think it through. I won't care that you were once one part of the Salvador family, nor will I show mercy for Caspar's sake. If you want to oppose the Ashford family, be prepared to pay the price!" Dorian warned, squinting his eyes.
"Why waste words, Dorian? Do what you want; I'll be waiting!" Gino smiled and turned to leave without hesitation.
"Ethan, Gino has left. Let's see who can save you now!" Ignatius didn't expect Gino to leave so abruptly. He stared at Ethan with a sinister smile. He still hadn't gotten over being tricked by Ethan earlier and was itching for revenge.
"Are you sure you want to make a move on me now?" Ethan chuckled indifferently.
"What do you want to do?" Chloe and Sarah immediately stood behind Ethan, clearly showing their intention to stand with him.
"What do I want to do? Settle old and new scores together, of course!" Ignatius sneered and was about to attack but was stopped by Dorian.
"Dorian, why are you stopping me? This is a good opportunity. You're at the master level and can't make a move, but I can handle him, right?" Ignatius asked, bewildered, staring at Dorian.
"Don't rush." Dorian shook his head. He couldn't figure out Ethan's intentions. In his view, Ethan would never put himself in danger. The fact that he was here provoking them must mean he had some backing!
"If you want to fight, then let's fight. If not, can we sit down and talk business?" Ethan asked with a smile.
"What business could we possibly have?" Dorian frowned and asked.
"Of course, there is. For example, you could sell me this Skyline Center. So long as you're willing to sell, the price is negotiable!" Ethan straightforwardly stated his purpose.
"Ridiculous. Even if you had all the money in the world, I wouldn't sell Skyline Center. Give up on that idea!" Dorian's face immediately darkened.
"Don't be so quick to refuse! I don't believe there's any business in this world that can't be done. If there is, it's because the price isn't high enough!" Ethan shook his head with a smile.
"Fine, but I doubt you can afford my price. If you want Skyline Center, trade it for your life!" Dorian sneered.
"That's not sincere! If I lose my life, what use would Skyline Center give me? How about we change the terms?" Ethan suggested, looking exasperated.
"But I'm not interested! I warn you, you'd better leave Skyline Center immediately and tell the Harris family youngsters to behave. Otherwise, don't blame me for being rude!" Dorian sneered and turned to leave.
"Dorian, are we just leaving like this?" Ignatius, however, was unwilling and stepped forward to ask, "Are we just leaving like this?"
"Don't rush. Ethan must have some backups. If you act now, not only will you fail to kill him, but you might also suffer losses! Let's wait until I figure him out; then, we can make our move," Dorian reminded him seriously.
"Consider Ethan lucky!" Ignatius immediately lost his temper. He couldn't understand why Ethan would rush to his death.
"Are you crazy? Why did you tell Dorian about Phoenix returning to Misty Ridge? Without that support, if he disregards his master-level status and attacks you, you're dead for sure!" Sarah scolded Ethan angrily after Dorian and Ignatius left.
"Even if I didn't say it, how long do you think we could keep it a secret? And look, did Dorian make a move on me? Not only did he not act himself, but he also stopped Ignatius from acting. How am I dead for sure?" Ethan laughed and retorted, leaving Sarah speechless.
"Ethan did the right thing. If Dorian found out on his own that Phoenix had already left, then Ethan would be in real danger! By telling him upfront, Dorian doesn't dare to act. It's the most reasonable move! He's playing a psychological game with Dorian," Chloe, who had clearly seen through Ethan's intentions, reminded Sarah.
"Chloe, you're so smart!" Ethan smiled noncommittally.
"Don't get cocky. This trick might fool Dorian temporarily, but if he gets a bit impulsive, you could be exposed at any moment!" Chloe glared at Ethan angrily.
"He won't because he's Dorian, and he's a master-level expert," Ethan shook his head confidently.
"You've calculated that he has reservations and won't act! But if you try this again, you might not be so lucky next time!" Chloe reminded him helplessly.
"I know. But for now, I've achieved my goal! The Salvador family situation was an unexpected bonus but seeing Caspar slap Kenny was truly satisfying! I wonder if he is feeling upset?" Ethan joked about Kenny.
"What are you really thinking? Are you doing all this to draw out the Ashford family?" Sarah couldn't help but ask curiously.
"I'm lighting a fire!" Ethan explained with a smile.
Ethan was lighting a small fire here, but Lucien and his group of youngsters would ignite the real blaze!
Dorian originally planned to go home with Caspar and Kenny. Just as he got into the car after leaving Skyline Center, he noticed that besides the driver, only Caspar, who seemed lost in thought, was there.
"Caspar, where's Kenny?" Dorian asked with a frown.
His biggest worry now was that Kenny might lose his temper and go looking for trouble with Ethan!
"I don't know where Kenny is. It seemed like Magnus called him away just now," Caspar explained calmly after snapping out of his daze.
Dorian breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Caspar's state, he couldn't help but advise, "Still thinking about Gino?"
"Why did he do that? Why did he leave the Salvador family back then? Why does Jim have such deep hostility towards him?" Caspar asked three questions in a row.
"I don't know either. If you can't let it go, why not take this opportunity to visit the Salvador family? Take Kenny with you; he hasn't seen his grandfather in a long time," Dorian suggested, suddenly struck by an idea.
"Visit the Salvador family? Yes, I should go back and get to the bottom of this! My dad and Jim must be hiding something from me. If Jim and Gino don't talk, I can only ask my dad!" Caspar nodded in agreement.
What they didn't know was that Magnus had already found Kenny and the two were on their way to Elm Street.
