Chapter 449 Unexpected Gains

Jessie and Ethan suddenly popped up to bail him out. At first, Bradley didn't think much of it, just figured Jessie was more dependable than Gerald. From her vibe, she didn't seem like the type to talk nonsense. He thought Jessie could handle the mess.

Especially after Ethan flashed a badge that made Anthony back off, Bradley was both stunned and pumped!

Could Ethan be some big shot?

But then, after hearing Mark's snarky comments, Bradley's excitement vanished, replaced by pure rage.

"Enough! Are you here to help me or screw me over? It was $100,000 before, now it's $200,000. Are you gonna pay this for me?" Realizing that Ethan and Jessie might not be able to deal with Mark, Bradley got anxious and yelled at them.

"Bradley, how can you talk like that?" Gerald's face changed immediately and he quickly scolded him.

"I don't even know them! Who knows where you found these sketchy relatives? You three, stop messing things up!" Bradley snorted, clearly unimpressed.

Jessie frowned, obviously ticked off by Bradley's attitude.

"Mom, if he doesn't appreciate our help, why should we bother?" Ethan said, sounding helpless.

"But he's my nephew!" Jessie sighed.

"Bradley, what's going on?" At that moment, a young guy in a suit walked in and headed straight for Bradley.

"Mr. Cox, you're finally here. Only you can fix this mess today!" Seeing Jimmy, Bradley grabbed him like a lifeline and pleaded.

Jimmy was the buddy who did business with Bradley.

"Whose car did you crash?" Jimmy didn't seem too worried and turned to look at Ethan and Mark.

"Your friend crashed my car!" Mark snorted.

"Mark?" Jimmy recognized him right away, looking surprised.

"Your last name is Cox. Are you Clayton's son?" Mark asked, squinting.

"That's right. My dad is Clayton. Mr. Jackson, you're a big name in Bankgok. Why make a fuss over my friend? I'll pay for the car damage!" Jimmy was clearly wary of Mark and immediately lowered his tone.

"Who do you think you are? Even Clayton wouldn't dare ask me for a favor! Your friend crashed my car, and you think just offering money will settle it? I guess Clayton never taught you how to behave!" Mark sneered.

"Mr. Jackson, we're all big names in Bankgok, and you and my dad have dealings. Can't you cut me some slack?" Jimmy's face changed, but he kept trying to persuade him.

Even though Bradley's family background wasn't great, he was Jimmy's most loyal and clever subordinate. He had to protect him, as most of his business relied on Bradley.

"Why should I cut you any slack? If you've got the guts, let Clayton come and talk to me himself!" Mark didn't take Jimmy seriously at all and sneered.

"Alright, tell me, what’s it gonna take for you to let Bradley off the hook?" Jimmy had to swallow his pride and accept defeat.

Jimmy was no fool; he knew the stakes. With Clayton's clout, he could stand toe-to-toe with Mark. But if Mark was dead set on not giving him a break, there was nothing he could do.

He couldn't drag Clayton into a beef with someone like Mark over an outsider, or Clayton would break his legs!

"It's simple. Fork over $200,000 for my losses, and we're good. I was worried he couldn't pay up before, but since he's your guy, I think you can cover it!" Mark grinned.

"$200,000?" Jimmy was taken aback. Even though Clayton had money, it wasn't Jimmy's. He only got $10,000 a month as pocket money. Even with Clayton's investment in his business, it was only a $2 million scale, and it was all tied up in company assets. Coming up with $200,000 in cash at once was tough!

"If you can't come up with $200,000, you'd better back off and chill somewhere else!" Mark looked at Jimmy's face and mocked him.

"Jimmy, have you finished your business? You left me waiting in the car for so long." At this moment, a young man walked in from outside.

As he saw the newcomer, Ethan's eyes flashed with surprise.

He had just seen his info and photos. It was Enrique who was keeping Laura!

Bankgok was indeed small. Jimmy and Enrique were actually together!

"Mr. Coleman, I'm in a bit of a jam." Jimmy's eyes lit up when he saw Enrique, and he quickly approached with a cautious smile.

"We're all friends here. What's going on? If I can help, I will!" Enrique laughed heartily.

"Mr. Coleman?" Mark's face changed when he saw Enrique, clearly recognizing him and looking quite wary.

"Mark? Weren't you discussing a deal with my dad? What are you doing here?" Enrique also recognized Mark.

"Mr. Coleman, my guy hit Mr. Jackson's car. Mr. Jackson is asking for $200,000 in compensation. You know my situation; all my money is tied up in our company!" Jimmy explained pitifully.

Enrique was initially stunned, but then he got it and chuckled. "I got it. Mark, he's my friend. Can you cut me some slack today?"

"Mr. Coleman, if I had known he was your friend, I wouldn't have made things tough for them. It's just a car; I won't pursue it!" Mark hesitated for only a moment before smiling and waving his hand generously, intending to let the matter drop.

"Then I'll tell my dad to give you a bit more profit!" Enrique looked pleased and nodded.

"Then I'll count on you to put in a good word for me. Since we're all in the same boat, let's drop this matter. I have other things to attend to, so I'll take my leave!" Mark said politely to Enrique, then glanced at Ethan and Jessie before turning and walking out.

"I told you not to worry. See, they have someone to help them. Why should we bother?" Ethan said sarcastically to Jessie.

"Are you asking for trouble?" Jessie rolled her eyes and lightly tapped Ethan on the forehead, scolding him.

"Would I dare?" Ethan pouted with a look of grievance.
